How to use the Smart Space Elite FB-525H foot bath?

Unfold the device, fill with warm water up to the MAX line, plug it in, then press the power button. The Heat Boost and bubbles activate automatically. Use the pedicure accessories by clipping them into the dedicated slot.

Can I use bath salts with this device?

Yes, you can add a small amount of bath salts to the water. Three salt packets are included. Make sure not to exceed the MAX line.

How long can I use the device continuously?

Do not use for more than 20 minutes consecutively. Prolonged use could cause overheating and reduce the product's lifespan.

How to clean the foot bath?

Unplug the device and let it cool. Clean with a damp cloth and mild detergent. Never use abrasives or strong products, and do not immerse the device.

What to do if the device does not heat up?

Check that the device is plugged in and the Heat Boost button is activated. Make sure there is enough water. If the problem persists, contact Homedics customer service.

Can I use the device without water?

No, the device must always contain water during operation. Never use it empty, as this could damage it.

What accessories are included and what are they used for?

Three accessories: a pumice stone to smooth dry skin, a cleaning brush to exfoliate, and an Accunode massage with rolling knots for targeted massage.

How to store the device after use?

Unplug it, empty it, let it dry, then fold it by unlocking the anti-fold system. Store it in the included storage bag, without wrapping the cord around it.

Is the device under warranty?

Yes, it comes with a 2-year limited warranty against defects in material and workmanship. For any repairs, contact Homedics.

Can I use the device if I have a pacemaker?

No, use is not recommended if you have a pacemaker. Consult your doctor before use if you have any health concerns.

• Always unplug this appliance from the electrical outlet immediately after using and before cleaning.

• To disconnect, turn all controls to the "off" position, then remove plug from outlet.

• Use heated surfaces carefully. May cause serious burns. Do not use over insensitive skin areas or in the presence of poor circulation. The unattended use of heat by children or incapacitated persons may be dangerous.

• DO NOT handle plug with wet hands.
• Always unplug the unit when filling or moving the unit.
• Ensure that your hands are dry when operating the controls or removing the plug.
• Connect this appliance to a properly grounded outlet only. See Grounding Instructions.

• This product is not intended for medical use.

• NOT recommended for use by diabetics.

• DO NOT attempt to plug or unplug unit while feet are in the water.
• Use appliance on a sturdy or level surface.
• DO NOT use this product for more than 20 minutes at a time.
• Extensive use could lead to the product's excessive heating and shorter life. Should this occur, discontinue use and allow the unit to cool before operating.
• NEVER use any foot spa on open wounds, discolored areas, or any area of the body that is swollen, burned, inflamed, or where skin eruptions or sores are present.
• If you experience pain in a muscle or joint for a prolonged period of time, discontinue use and consult a doctor. Persistent pain could be a symptom of a more serious condition.
• This product should NEVER be used by any individual suffering from any physical ailment that would limit the user's capacity to operate the controls or who has sensory deficiencies.
• DO NOT use while sleepy or drowsy.
• Use of this product should be pleasant and comfortable. Should pain or discomfort result, discontinue use and consult your physician.
• This product is intended for household use only.

1. Unfold the foot spa by pulling up the edge one side at a time while holding the base firmly (Fig. 1-3).
2. Use the anti-collapse system to lock the unit. To do this, pull out the metal props at the front and back of the foot spa and push them into place under the edge of the tub (Fig. 4-5).
3. Ensure that the unit is unplugged before filling with water. Fill with warm water to the MAX fill line, located on the inside of the tub.
4. Place the unit on the floor in front of a chair. It is recommended to place the product on a towel.
5. Plug the unit into a 120V AC power supply.
6. Sit down and place your feet in the tub.

7. To operate the unit, press the power button on the back of the product. Heat Boost and bubbles will be automatically activated. Heat Boost will keep the water heated as long as the unit is turned on. To deactivate Heat Boost, press the heat button. To turn Heat Boost back on, press the button again.

8. To use the pedicure center:

a. Select from one of the three attachments and press the desired attachment into the pedicure enter.

• Pumice Stone: smooths and softens dry skin.
• Cleansing Brush: cleanses and exfoliates your feet.
• Acunode Massage: rolling nodes for a targeted massage.

b. When finished with the pedicure attachment, rinse and allow to dry.

Place back into to the pedicure center or in the storage compartment

1. Enjoy a deep massage by sliding feet back and forth over the stimulating nodes and silicone bristles on the footbath floor.
2. If desired, dissolve a small amount of bath salts into the water for a refreshing foot spa experience. Three packets of salts included.
3. To turn off, press the power button again to deactivate.
4. To empty, unplug the unit and pour the water out.
5. To store the footbath, unlock the anti-collapse system by unclipping the metal props from under the edge of the tub and folding them away. Then fold the foot spa down by pressing down on the edges while holding the base firmly.

MAINTENANCE

TO CLEAN

Unplug the unit and allow it to cool before cleaning. Clean only with a soft, damp cloth and mild cleansing agent.

• After cleaning, wipe surfaces with a dry cloth.
- NEVER use strong abrasives, detergents, or cleansing agents.
- Periodically straighten cord if it becomes twisted.

TO STORE

Unplug the appliance from the outlet and allow to cool and dry.

• Convenient storage bag included.
• To avoid breakage, do not wrap the power cord around the unit.
• DO NOT hang the unit by the power cord.
• This appliance is designed for household use only.

CAUTION: To avoid injury and irreparable damage, always remain seated when using this foot spa. Never stand on or in the unit.

GROUNDING INSTRUCTIONS

This product is for use on a nominal 120V circuit and has a grounding plug that looks like the plug illustrated in (Fig. A). Make sure that the product is connected to an outlet having the same configuration as the plug. No adapter should be used with this product.

2-YEAR LIMITED WARRANTY

Homedics sells its products with the intent that they are free of defects in manufacture and workmanship for a period of 2 years from the date of original purchase, except as noted below. Homedics warrants that its products will be free of defects in material and workmanship under normal use and service. This warranty extends only to consumers and does not extend to Retailers.

To obtain warranty service on your Homedics product, contact a Consumer Relations representative for assistance. Please make sure to have the model number of the product available.

Homedics does not authorize anyone, including, but not limited to, Retailers, the subsequent consumer purchaser of the product from a Retailer or remote purchasers, to obligate Homedics in any way beyond the terms set forth herein. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse or abuse; accident; the attachment of any unauthorized accessory; alteration to the product; improper installation; unauthorized repairs or modifications; improper use of electrical/power supply; loss of power; dropped product; malfunction or damage of an operating part from failure to provide manufacturer's recommended maintenance; transportation damage; theft; neglect; vandalism; or environmental conditions; loss of use during the period the product is at a repair facility or otherwise awaiting parts or repair; or any other conditions whatsoever that are beyond the control of Homedics.

This warranty is effective only if the product is purchased and operated in the country in which the product is purchased. A product that requires modifications or adoption to enable it to operate in any other country than the country for which it was designed, manufactured, approved and/or authorized, or repair of products damaged by these modifications is not covered under this warranty.

THE WARRANTY PROVIDED HEREIN SHALL BE THE SOLE AND EXCLUSIVE WARRANTY. THERE SHALL BE NO OTHER WARRANTIES EXPRESS OR IMPLIED INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTY OF MERCHANTABILITY OR FITNESS OR ANY OTHER OBLIGATION ON THE PART OF THE COMPANY WITH RESPECT TO PRODUCTS COVERED BY THIS WARRANTY. HOMEDICS SHALL HAVE NO LIABILITY FOR ANY INCIDENTAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR SPECIAL DAMAGES. IN NO EVENT SHALL THIS WARRANTY REQUIRE MORE THAN THE REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT OF ANY PART OR PARTS WHICH ARE FOUND TO BE DEFECTIVE WITHIN THE EFFECTIVE PERIOD OF THE WARRANTY. NO REFUNDS WILL BE GIVEN. IF REPLACEMENT PARTS FOR DEFECTIVE MATERIALS ARE NOT AVAILABLE, HOMEDICS RESERVES THE RIGHT TO MAKE PRODUCT SUBSTITUTIONS IN LIEU OF REPAIR OR REPLACEMENT.

This warranty does not extend to the purchase of opened, used, repaired, repackaged and/or resealed products, including but not limited to sale of such products on internet auction sites and/or sales of such products by surplus or bulk resellers. Any and all warranties or guarantees shall immediately cease and terminate as to any products or parts thereof which are repaired, replaced, altered, or modified, without the prior express and written consent of Homedics.
