CLEANING AND CARE
- Before cleaning the unit, turn the power off and make sure the adapter is unplugged from the diffuser and outlet.
- Remove the outer cover from the base. Next, remove the inner cover.
- Carefully pour any remaining water and essential oil out of the reservoir, from the drain side, opposite the air outlet. Be sure not to empty the reservoir near the air outlet in order to avoid malfunction.
To Clean the Surface
Clean the surface of your diffuser with a damp, soft cloth as often as needed.
To Clean the Reservoir and Ultrasonic Membrane
We recommend wiping the reservoir with a damp, soft cloth at least once every 2 weeks.
NOTE: Depending on your usage and the amount of essential oil you use, you may want to clean the reservoir and ultrasonic membrane more frequently for best performance.
For the most thorough clean, pour a 50/50 mixture of vinegar and water into the reservoir. Soak for 5 minutes. Clean the reservoir walls, base, and ultrasonic membrane with a cotton swab. Rinse with water to remove the vinegar smell.
Never touch the ultrasonic membrane with your fingers; the natural oils in the skin can damage the membrane.
NEVER submerge the base in water or any other liquid.
Clean the membrane once every 2-3 weeks, depending on your usage.
Clean and dry the unit before extended periods of inactivity.
ARE ESSENTIAL OILS SAFE TO USE AROUND PETS?
We should always exercise caution when using essential oils around our pets. Keep all essential oil and aromatherapy products (like diffusers) out of reach of pets. Keep open bottles away from pets to avoid internal consumption. We do not recommend the topical use of essential oils on pets, as they have a strong sense of smell and cannot get rid of the oil if they don't like it or it is disturbing them. When diffusing essential oils around pets, always diffuse in a well-ventilated area and leave an option for them to remove themselves from the space, such as leaving a door open. Every animal is different, so carefully observe how each animal responds when introducing an essential oil for the first time. If irritation occurs, discontinue the use of the essential oil. We recommend seeking medical attention if ingestion of essential oil occurs.
