How to install the Tapo C411 camera?

Download the Tapo app, create an account, then press the power button on the camera for 3 seconds to turn it on. Follow the instructions in the app to connect the camera to your Wi-Fi network and complete the setup.

What is the battery life?

Battery life depends on usage. Under normal use (a few events per day), the battery can last several months. Intensive use of color night vision or continuous video reduces battery life. The optional solar panel provides continuous charging.

Does the camera work without a solar panel?

Yes, the camera can be charged via a USB adapter (not included) or run on battery alone. The solar panel is optional for automatic recharging.

What is the motion detection range?

The camera detects motion up to about 10 meters. You can set custom activity zones in the app to ignore certain areas (e.g., the street).

Can it record continuously?

Continuous recording requires a microSD card (up to 256 GB) or a cloud subscription. The camera records by default on motion events, but you can enable 24/7 recording by setting up the SD card.

How to reset the camera?

Press and hold the power button for about 5 seconds until the light flashes orange. The camera will restart and you will need to reconfigure it via the app.

Is the camera waterproof?

Yes, it has an IP65 rating, meaning it is protected against water jets and dust. It can be installed outdoors, but avoid submerging it.

Can I use multiple Tapo cameras?

• The suitable temperature for Tapo Solar Panel and accessories is -20°C ~ 45°C. The working temperature range for battery charging should be maintained at 0°C ~ 45°C.
• Make sure the USB connector is fully plugged into your Tapo device.
• Make sure you follow the user manual to install the solar panel correctly.
• Make sure the waterproof gasket and other accessories can protect the connectors on your Tapo device.

The mounting height should not be higher than 2 meters.
