This appliance has a very high water

evaporation rate. Do not use the appliance in enclosed living spaces.
- This appliance is intended exclusively for cooling living spaces in households and must not be used for any other purpose.
- The appliance is not suitable for continuous and precision operation and should not be used for cooling electrical systems (e.g. in server rooms).
- Remove the packaging and make sure that the appliance is not damaged. If in doubt, do not use the appliance and contact the service centre or your dealer.
- If the device is defective, switch it off and contact your dealer or the customer hotline
- If the power supply cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer or an authorised service centre in order to avoid all possible risks.
- For any repairs, always and exclusively contact customer service centres authorised by the manufacturer. You can find the customer service centres online at www.becool.at.
- Before connecting the appliance to the mains, you must check that the type of current and mains voltage match the specifications on the appliance rating plate.
- The electrical socket into which you connect the appliance must not be defective or loose and must be suitable for the required current load and, above all, reliably earthed. If in doubt, have your electrical installation checked by a qualified electrician.
- Avoid using an extension cable, as this could overheat and cause a fire.

- Do not move the appliance quickly when there is water in the water tank to prevent the water from leaking or splashing.
- Do not use the appliance in "COOL" mode for long periods in a closed area without ventilation to avoid high humidity.
- The cooling batteries are not toys - keep children and animals away from them.
- Never attempt to open the cooling batteries. The liquid inside can be harmful to your health.
- Unplug the appliance and empty the water tank when not in use.
- Always switch off the appliance before disconnecting the mains plug.
- Do not pull on the mains cable to disconnect the appliance from the mains. Always pull the plug to disconnect the mains cable.
- Do not touch the plug with wet hands to avoid electric shocks. Store the appliance vertically in a safe, dry place that is inaccessible to children when not in use and do not cover the appliance with plastic packaging.

BEFORE INITIAL COMMISSIONING
Unpacking the device
- Open the box and remove the appliance.
- Remove the packaging completely from the device.
- Unwind the power cable completely, taking care not to damage it.
Transport rollers
The appliance is equipped with transport castors for easier transport. In addition, two castors are equipped with a parking brake to guarantee a firm stand.

After you have carefully unpacked the appliance, insert the transport castors into the notches provided on the underside of the appliance.
-
To set the parking brakes, operate the levers as follows:
PRESS DOWN Fixing the brake
RELEASE PRESSURE Releasing the brake
INSTALLATION
Please note the following points during installation:
- Place the appliance on a level and firm surface and set the parking brakes so that the appliance is stable.
- The distance to walls or other objects must be at least 50 cm.
- Before using the appliance, make sure that both the air inlet and the air outlet are free of obstacles and not blocked.
- Connect the appliance to an earthed socket.

FILL WATER TANK
Please note the following when filling the water tank:
- Open the water inlet at the rear of the air cooler.
- Carefully fill the water tank with clean water using a watering can or similar container. Pay attention to the fill level on the front of the water tank:
MIN mark The water tank must be filled above the MIN mark for the pump to function correctly
MAX mark The water tank must not be filled above the MAX mark, as otherwise water could enter the inside of the appliance and damage electronic parts. - Make sure that the outside of the appliance is not damp or wet and wipe it down if necessary.
- Then close the water inlet flap.
REMOTE CONTROL
PREPARING THE REMOTE CONTROL - INSERTING OR REPLACING BATTERIES
Please note the following instructions:
Initial operation:
- To operate the remote control for the first time, please pull the plastic cover out of the battery compartment on the back of the remote control.
Change the battery:
- Pull out the battery holder on the back of the remote control and remove the old battery from the holder:

Now insert a new CR2025 battery, always paying attention to the polarity markings (+/-) on the battery and the battery holder.

Then push the battery holder fully back into the remote control.

NOTE
The buttons on the remote control are labelled as shown in the illustration below. All functions of the remote control work identically to manual operation on the Device.
CORRECT USE OF THE REMOTE CONTROL
Point the remote control directly at the front of the appliance and ensure that there are no obstacles between the remote control and the appliance.
NOTE
Please handle the remote control with care.
Do not expose the remote control to direct sunlight and keep it away from heat sources.

SET FUNCTIONS
The control panel of the appliance has the same buttons as the remote control, so you can set all functions directly on the appliance as well as using the remote control.
SWITCH ON THE DEVICE
- Press the button to switch on the appliance. The respective indicator lights up.
- As soon as you switch on the appliance, it runs at "Low speed".
- If you want to switch the device to standby mode, press the button again.

NOTE
Never switch off the air cooler by pulling the plug directly from the mains. To switch off, always press the ON/OFF button and wait a few minutes before disconnecting the appliance from the mains. This allows the appliance to run through a cycle of checks to verify its functionality.
SET SPEED
- Use the button to set the speed of the fan.
• The respective indicator lights up:

Medium speed
MID LED lights up
Press 2x
High speed
HIGH LED lights up
Press 3 times
Turbo mode
TURBO LED lights up
Press 4x
Low speed
LOW LED lights up
SWING
- Use the button to activate the swing function of the device.
- When the function is activated, the SWING LED lights up.
- Press the button again to deactivate the function.

COOLING FUNCTION

- Use the button to start the cooling function.
- As soon as the function is activated, the respective indicator lights up.
- The appliance now starts to pump water out of the water tank to produce cold air, which is then blown out of the appliance. The colder the water in the tank, the cooler the air that flows out of the appliance.
NOTE
Make absolutely sure that the water level indicator is above the MIN.
If the speed is set to MID, HIGH or TURBO when cooling mode is activated, the fan runs at LOW for 30 seconds and then continues to operate at the previously set speed level.
TIMER

- Use the button to switch off the appliance on a timed basis.
- Each time you press the timer button, the operating time is gradually extended by one hour - pay attention to the hour shown in the centre of the display:

ANION FUNCTION

- Use the button to start the anion function.
• The respective indicator lights up. - The device now begins to distribute ionised air into the room. The resulting atoms and molecules are used to remove odours and disinfect the air.
TIPS FOR CORRECT APPLICATION
Here are some tips on how to optimise the performance of the air cooler:
| Protect the room from direct sunlight with curtains, blinds or shutters. This will save you energy. | ![]() |
| Do not place any objects on the appliance and do not cover the air outlet. | |
| Make sure that no heat sources are operating in the room. | |
| Never use the appliance in very damp rooms (e.g. laundry rooms). | |
| Do not use the appliance outdoors. | |
| Make sure that the appliance is standing on level ground and that the parking brakes are applied. | |
MAINTENANCE AND CLEANING

Switch off the appliance before cleaning, wait a few minutes and then unplug the appliance from the mains to disconnect it from the power supply.

CLEAN DUST FILTER & WATER FILTER
To ensure that the air cooler functions efficiently, you should clean the dust filter and water filter after every week of operation.
Dust filter
- Press the safety tabs on the ventilation grille to release it.
- Now remove the cover grille and the dust filter.
- Use a hoover to remove the dust accumulated in the filter.
- If the filter is very dirty, immerse it in hot water and rinse it several times - the water temperature should not exceed 40^ C, however.
- Allow the dust filter to dry out well after washing and then reinsert it.
Water filter
- Press the safety tabs on the ventilation grille to release it and remove the cover grille.
- Now remove the large water filter.
- Remove the two smaller water filters from the side of the appliance as shown in the illustration.
- Clean the filters with lukewarm water and a soft brush.
- Allow the water filter to dry out well after washing and then reinsert it.

CLEAN WATER TANK
It is recommended to clean the water tank every 2-3 weeks during use.
-
First drain the water from the water tank by holding the appliance over a container and pulling out the water tank plug on the back of the appliance.
-
Then remove the cover grille and the water filter.
-
Clean the tank with a soft cloth that you have previously dipped in soapy water.
-
Then rinse the tank with warm, clear water and wipe it again with a dry cloth.
-
Now insert the water tank plug firmly back into the opening on the underside.
-
Then allow the tank to dry completely and insert the removed parts in the opposite direction before refilling it.
CLEANING THE HOUSING
- Clean the appliance with a moderately damp cloth and then wipe it with a dry cloth.
- Never use petrol, alcohol or solvents to clean the appliance - this could be dangerous.
- Do not spray insecticides or similar agents on the air cooler.

ACTIVITIES AT THE BEGINNING/END OF THE SEASON
ACTIVITIES AT THE END OF THE SEASON
- Switch off the appliance and disconnect the mains plug.
• Empty and clean the water tank carefully.
- Clean the filter and reinsert it after drying (see section "Cleaning the dust filter").
- Pack the device and store it in a cool, dry place.
CHECKS AT THE START OF THE SEASON
- Check that the power supply cable is in order and that the earthing is functional.
- Follow the installation and safety instructions carefully.

WARRANTY
With this quality product from BE COOL, you have made a decision in favour of innovation, durability and reliability.
For this BECOOL appliance we grant a warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase valid in Austria! If, contrary to expectations, service work is required on your appliance during this period, we hereby guarantee to repair it free of charge (spare parts and labour) or (at Schuss's discretion) to replace the product. If neither repair nor replacement is possible for economic reasons, we reserve the right to issue a current value credit note.
In the case of air conditioners, please always contact the customer hotline as a first step (see sticker on the appliance or front page of the operating instructions); in the case of fans, please contact your specialist dealer or us directly. We would like to point out that any repair work not carried out by an authorised workshop in Austria will immediately invalidate this guarantee.
This guarantee does not cover
• We do not accept any liability for consequential damage in the event of improper use
• Repair or replacement of parts due to normal wear and tear
• Damage due to non-compliance with the operating instructions
• Devices that are used - even partially - for commercial purposes
• Devices mechanically damaged by external influences (fall, impact, breakage, improper use, etc.) as well as signs of aesthetic wear and tear.
• Devices that have been handled improperly
• Devices that have not been opened by our authorised service workshop.
- Damage caused by improperly closed condensation drain valves on air conditioning units or incorrectly inserted water tanks.
• Unfulfilled consumer expectations.
• Damage caused by force majeure, water, lightning, overvoltage.
• Devices where the type designation and/or serial number on the device has been changed, deleted, made illegible or removed.
• services outside our authorised workshops, the transport costs to an authorised workshop or to us and back, as well as the associated risks.
We would like to emphasise that within the warranty period, a lump sum of € 60 (indexed based on CPI 2010, June 2015) will be charged in the event of operating errors or if no error is detected.
The provision of a warranty service (repair or replacement of the appliance) does not extend the absolute warranty period of 2 years from the date of purchase.
The 2-year guarantee is only valid on presentation of the proof of purchase (must include the name and address of the dealer as well as the complete appliance designation) and the corresponding guarantee certificate, on which the appliance type and the serial number (visible on the box and on the back or bottom of the appliance) must be noted! Without the warranty certificate, only the statutory warranty applies!
We expressly point out that the statutory warranty rights are not affected by this guarantee and remain unaffected. Schuss Home Electronic GmbH and its vicarious agents shall only be liable for damages in the event of gross negligence or wilful intent. Liability for loss of profit, expected but unrealised savings, consequential damage and damage arising from third-party claims is excluded. Damage to or for recorded data is always excluded from the liability for damages.
