1 2 3 4 DOMO 5 6 7BEFORE THE FIRST USE
- Remove all packing materials and carefully clean the appliance, the grill plate and the mini pans before the first use. (See "Cleaning and maintenance".)
- Use a thin layer of vegetable oil in the mini pans and on the grill plate. This will prevent sticking and cleaning after use will be easier.
- When using the appliance for the first time a small amount of smoke may be released from the heating element. This is completely normal and harmless. For this reason allow the appliance 10-30 minutes to preheat before using for the first time in order to burn any possible remaining residues.
- Place the unit preferably on a surface that is easy to clean. The surface should also be heat-resistant. Do not place the appliance on an untreated wooden surface.
- Make sure that there is enough ventilation around the grill.
USE
- Place the appliance in the middle of the table. Make sure that the space around the appliance is properly ventilated.
- Carefully place the griddle in the top of the holders. Make sure it is positioned firmly and straight, and that the unit itself is level and stable.
- Make sure that the grill is switched off (position MIN). Plug into an earthed socket.
- Use a thin layer of vegetable oil in the raclette pans and on the grill plate. This will prevent sticking and cleaning after use will be easier.
- Let the appliance preheat for at least 10 minutes until the grill is hot enough for cooking. When the set temperature is reached, the blue light will turn off.
- Cut meat into small squares to shorten cooking time. The thickness of the food determines the cooking time. Turn the food often to ensure even cooking.
- Only use wooden or plastic utensils so you do not damage the anti-stick coating of the grill plate or mini pans.
SETTING OF TEMPERATURE
- You can set the temperature of the appliance as required. The temperature ranges from minimum (MIN) to maximum (MAX). A mid-way temperature is recommended.
• This switch is also the 'on' switch, and MIN is the off position. - Turn the temperature dial to the desired position. The red indicator light will light up once the unit is plugged in, and will stay on as long as the unit is receiving power. The blue indicator light will light up to show that the unit is heating up, and will turn off later to indicate that the unit has reached the operating temperature. When the temperature of the griddle drops, the blue light will automatically turn back on to show that the unit is heating up again.
GRILLING
- Apply a thin layer of vegetable oil to the grill plate and mini pans.
- Only use wooden or plastic utensils so you do not damage the anti-stick coating of the grill plate or mini pans.
RACLETTE
- Use a thin layer of vegetable oil on the raclette pans. This will prevent sticking and cleaning after use will be easier.
- For raclettes use approximately 200-250 g special raclette cheese per person. Cut the cheese into thin slices of 2 mm.
- Lay the cheese in the raclette raclette pans and place the mini pans on the appliance in the specially designed slots. The cheese will be ready in about 3-4 minutes. Do not overfill the pans.
- The above can be prepared with a combination of onions, gherkins, lettuce, baguettes or potatoes.
• The raclette mini pans are also suitable for frying eggs or new potatoes (small) and even meat. - Do not touch the pans with bare hands; use the handles.
- Do not allow heat the empty raclette pans. Empty pans are best placed outside the unit.
CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE
- Clean the appliance after every use.
- Switch off and unplug the appliance before cleaning it. Wait until the appliance has completely cooled down.
- It is recommended that all food residues be removed with a wooden spatula or a heat-resistant plastic utensil while the appliance is still hot. If the residues dry up, they will be harder to remove.
- All external surfaces can be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge.
- Clean the grill plate and raclette pans with water and some mild detergent.
⚠️Do not use sharp objects. Only use a wooden scraper.
⚠️Make sure that water can not get into the appliance.
⚠️ Never use any aggressive or abrasive cleaning agents. These could cause damage to the non-stick surface layer on the grill plate and pans.
Do not immerse the appliance in water and never clean it in a dishwasher.
- The mini pans can be immersed in water and are dishwasher-safe.
