Frequently Asked Questions - XLH60 Thor

At what height should the Thor XLH60 hood be installed?
The installation height should be between 24 inches (minimum) and 30 inches (maximum) above the cooking surface for gas ranges. For electric ranges, follow the manufacturer's recommendations.
How to clean the baffle filters?
Filters should be cleaned every 30 days or more often depending on use. You can place them in the dishwasher on low temperature or soak them in warm soapy water. Dry them thoroughly before reinstalling.
What are the required electrical specifications?
The appliance requires a 120 V, 60 Hz power supply on a dedicated circuit protected by a 15 or 20 A breaker. Wiring must be 2-wire with ground. It is recommended to call a qualified electrician.
How to use gesture control?
The gesture control function allows you to turn the fan on/off and adjust speed with a simple hand gesture in front of the sensor. Refer to the manual for specific gestures.
How to replace the LED light strip?
To replace the LED light strip, contact Thor customer service at (877) 288-8099. Replacement must be done by a certified professional. Do not attempt to do it yourself.
What to do if the hood does not work?
First, check that the power is plugged in and the breaker is not tripped. Make sure the filters are in place. If the problem persists, contact Thor customer service.
Can I use a flexible duct for exhaust?
It is recommended to use a rigid metal duct of 10 inches in diameter to maximize efficiency. Flexible ducts may reduce performance.
How to activate the heat sensor?
The heat sensor operates automatically: it detects the hood temperature and turns the fan on or off as needed. No manual activation is necessary.
What is the warranty of the Thor XLH60 hood?
Visit www.thorkitchen.com/warranty-registration for warranty details. You must register your product and keep proof of purchase.
How to install the hood in a cabinet?
Cut an opening in the bottom of the cabinet according to the indicated dimensions (for XLH60: 59-1/8 x 22-3/4 inches). Secure the hood using the provided screws (6 at the front, 4 on the sides). Ensure the surface can support the weight (72.1 lb).
