USER MANUAL

UNPACKING INSTRUCTIONS

Immediately upon receipt of a fixture, carefully unpack the carton and check the contents to ensure that all parts are present and have arrived in good condition. If any parts appear to have been damaged in transit or the carton itself shows signs of mishandling, notify the carrier immediately and retain the packaging material for inspection. Retain the carton and all packing materials. In the event that a fixture must be returned to the factory, it is important that the fixture is returned in the original factory box and packaging.

SAFETY RECOMMENDATIONS

- Please read these instructions carefully, they include important information about the installation, usage and maintenance of this product.

- Please keep this User Guide for future reference. If you sell the unit to another user, be sure that he also receives this instruction booklet.

- Always make sure that you are connecting to the proper voltage, and that the line voltage you are connecting to is not higher than that stated on the bottom of the fixture.

- The appliance is part of class I and must exclusively connected to an earthed mains outlet.

- This product is intended for indoor use only!

- To prevent risk of fire or shock, do not expose fixture to rain or moisture.

- Do not touch the housing during operation as it might get very hot.

- Do not place the machine on an inflamable surface such as a carpet, carton, wood, plastic, etc.

- The nozzle will get very hot during operation. Do not touch it. Wait until the machine has cooled down completely before touching it.

- The machine must be installed in a location with adequate ventilation, at least 0.5m from adjacent surfaces. Be sure that no ventilation slots are blocked.

- The CO2 exits the nozzle at very high temperatures. Make sure that no objects nor persons are within 2m in front of the nozzle.

- During warm up and operation, the water will be scalding hot. Do not put your hands into the water.

- Do not remove the basket while the machine is connected to the mains or when the heaters are still hot.

- The max. ambient temperature (Ta) is 40^ . Don't operate the machine at higher ambient temperatures.

- In the event of a serious operating problem, stop using the unit immediately. Never try to repair the machine by yourself. Repairs carried out by unskilled people can lead to damage or malfunction. Please contact the nearest authorized technical assistance center. Always use the same type of spare parts.

- Make sure the power cord is never crimped or damaged.

- Never disconnect the power cord by pulling or tugging on the cord.

- Do not connect the machine to a dimmer pack.

- Avoid using an extension cord or, if necessary, check that the diameter is suitable for the power of the appliance.

- Never leave an extension cord rolled up. Always unroll it completely to avoid overheating.

SPECIAL WARNINGS FOR DRY ICE

- Do not handle dry ice with bare hands. You must wear thick protective gloves.

- Do not swallow dry ice. It will cause serious internal injuries.

- Before breaking dry ice, cover it with a cloth or place the block of ice in a cloth bag.

• Always wear eye protection.
- Do not store dry ice in a closed container. It may build up pressure and cause an explosion.
- Only operate the machine on the ground. Do not place it in a rack or other container.

LED INDICATORS (3)

The red LED lights up when there is enough water in the tank and the heater starts to heat.

The green LED illuminates when the water has reached the optimum operating temperature of 70^ C. When the green LED is lit, you can add dry ice to the basket.

OPTIONAL POWER INPUT (5)

The machine uses a lot of power. To avoid overloading your electrical circuits, you can plug the optional power input into a socket on a different circuit from the other power input. The additional power input increases the heating capacity of your machine.

PRECAUTIONS PRIOR TO USE

  • Before switching on the machine, check that there is sufficient water in the tank. The minimum water level must be above the floating ball of the heater protection bar in the machine. The basket must be submerged in the water. Never use the machine without water.
  • The water in the tank should be emptied after each use.
    • Always wear protective gloves when handling dry ice.

OPERATION

  1. Place the machine on level ground.
  2. Open the cover of the machine and pour approximately 10 litres of water into the tank. The water level must be above the floating ball inside the machine.
  3. Connect the machine to the power supply. The red LED will light up.
  4. Wait about 12 minutes for the green LED to light up. This means that the water has reached its operating temperature of 70^ . The lid becomes very hot during operation. DO NOT TOUCH IT!
  5. Lift the basket to its highest position. Wearing protective gloves, fill the basket with dry ice.
  6. Close and lock the lid.
  7. Lower the basket lever to the middle position for low output or to the lowest position for high output.
  8. If the fog output becomes weak, raise the basket and refill.
  9. At some point you may need to add water to the tank. Unplug the machine, fill the tank to the required level and reconnect the machine. The red LED should light up, indicating that the machine is heating up. Wait for the green LED to come on.

Note: The machine has a low water protection circuit which will stop the heater if the water level is too low.

MAINTENANCE:

It is very important to keep the fog machine clean. Therefore please clean it monthly, to remove dust, dirt and fog residues. We suggest to clean the machine with cleaning lotion and a damp cloth.
