How to install the grounding sheet?

Place the half-sheet on a regular sheet and fold it around the mattress, typically on the lower half of the bed. Connect the grounding cord to the metal snap on the sheet, then plug the other end into the ground port of a wall outlet. Ensure the outlet is properly grounded.

Can I machine wash the sheet?

Yes, machine wash in warm water (40 °C) with liquid detergent. Air dry or tumble dry on low heat (up to 65 °C). Do not use bleach, fabric softener, or dry cleaning.

What if my outlet is not grounded?

Use an outlet tester to check. If the outlet is not properly grounded, you can use an extension cord from a grounded outlet or purchase a grounding rod (sold separately) as a separate earth source.

Is it dangerous to use the sheet with a plugged-in laptop?

No, but you may feel a slight tingling sensation due to leakage current. It is not dangerous thanks to the built-in safety fuse (16 V 50 mA). To avoid it, unplug the computer from its charger or place it on a grounding mat in direct contact with its case.

How long should I use the grounding sheet?

It is recommended to use it during sleep, as the body repairs and regenerates at that time. The more time you spend in contact with the sheet, the better. You can also use it during rest periods.

Can the sheet be used with other electronic devices?

Yes, you can place devices like laptops or tablets on a grounding mat to ground them directly. Ensure the device's case touches the mat directly (no insulating plastic or rubber).

How to test the grounding of my outlet?

Use a standard outlet tester. Plug it in and check the combination of lights; the result should indicate 'OK' or 'CORRECT'. If not, consult an electrician or use another outlet.

Can I use the sheet without the grounding cord?

No, the grounding cord is essential to connect the sheet to the earth. Without it, the sheet provides no grounding effect. The cord must be plugged into the metal snap on the sheet and into the ground port of an outlet.

Does the sheet work without direct skin contact?

For optimal effect, direct skin contact is necessary. The sheet must be in contact with the skin to allow the electrical connection. If you wear clothing, effectiveness will be reduced.

What if I feel tingling?

A slight tingling sensation may occur if you use plugged-in electronic devices at the same time. It is not dangerous. To avoid it, unplug the devices from their chargers or ground them directly via a grounding mat.

These products provide a convenient way to connect to the Earth's electrical field while indoors. This connection is called 'earthing' or 'grounding' and provides many benefits. This guide covers best practices and usage guidelines for products and how they are used together for the best experience possible. In general, the more time you can spend grounded the better. Grounding is particularly recommended while sleeping. We spend many hours of each day sleeping; it is the time when the body is repairing, rebuilding and regenerating, and being grounded optimizes these processes, and also improves the general quality of sleep.

Connecting your Earthing product

The product operates similarly and can be set up in just a few seconds. It doesn't matter which product you own, each will have a specially designed snap connector that attaches to the corresponding end of the ground cord included.

Using your Earthing product

For optimal effect, it is necessary to have direct skin contact with all products because this is how your body remains grounded.

The half sheet is placed on top of a regular sheet and tucked in around the mattress. It is usually placed across the bottom half of the bed, but can also be fitted in other positions.

The conductive body band can be worn on your wrist, ankle or foot, and should be adjusted to fit snugly without being too tight.

The universal conductive mat can be used in any position where there will be skin contact, for example under your bare feet, or on a desk with your hand or arm resting on it. It can also be used to directly ground electronic devices.

The upper side of the mat, where the ground wire connects to the metal stud, is the conductive side of the mat.

Use with laptops, tablets, smart phones and other electrical devices

Certain laptops, tablets and smart phones (Apple products for example) or other electrical devices such as electric heating pads can have a high voltage present on their surface, while connected to a power outlet. If physically touching one of these devices while you are grounded, it can cause a current to flow through the body. There is a current limiting device in Earthing products, so this is not dangerous, however it can feel like a slightly unpleasant tingling sensation.

If you experience this unpleasant tingling sensation, it is recommended either to unplug the electrical device from its charger while you are grounded, or to directly ground the device itself by placing it on a grounding mat. In the latter case, ensure there is direct contact between the product and the device case (i.e. it's not enough that a plastic cover or rubber feet alone are touching the grounding mat). Another option for a laptop is to use an external keyboard and mouse so you do not physically touch the laptop.

Safety warning

It is important to remember products DO NOT use electricity to operate.

Ever. They are designed ONLY to connect to the ground port of your wall outlet and intentionally designed too large to fit inside the live electrical ports. Only connect your product using the supplied cord and plug, which has a built-in safety fuse (16V 50MA). This is the cord Pro, for better grounding and safety in case of an earth fault. If connecting via an outlet and your tester does not display "OK" or "CORRECT", then consult an electrician before using the outlet or use a different outlet. For PS: If the silver wire has good conductivity, it will light up when tested with an electric pen.

1. Snap the grounding cord onto the metal stud of your product.
2. The other end of the grounding cord plugs directly into the ground port of a wall outlet.

Earthing products connect only to the Earth and do not use any power, so the outlet does not need to be switched on (although it doesn't matter if it is). If your electrical system is not Earthed (see the section on Testing the outlet for ground, below), then a Grounding Rod can be used instead (optional and sold separately).

Testing the outlet for ground

In most modern or recently rewired houses, the electrical system provides an excellent grounding connection to Earth. However, if you have any doubt as to whether your property is properly wired and Earthed, then it is recommended to use an outlet tester to confirm this.

When plugged into an outlet, a combination of lights indicates the test result.

The key printed on the tester explains what each combination means. You are looking for the result "OK" or "CORRECT".

Non-grounded outlets may look similar to grounded outlets so use the outlet tester to check

the actual socket you will use. If necessary, run an extension cord from a properly grounded outlet to where you will use your product, or use a grounding rod as a separate ground source (optional and sold separately).

For your safety, locate the connecting cord in such a way that it does not cause a tangling or tripping hazard.

Washing and care instructions

Conductive sheets and pillow cases may be machine washed. Please follow the guidelines below to ensure the longevity of the silver thread.

It is good to wash your products. They will not be harmed by washing, in fact it is beneficial. Washing strips body sweat and natural skin oils from the silver, keeping them conductive and in good working order.

DOs

• Wash every week or two
• Wash in a washing machine with warm water (40°C/105°F)
• Use a liquid laundry detergent. Line dry or dry in a dryer on low (up to 65°C/150°F).
• Can be ironed on a low heat if desired.

DON'Ts

• Don't wash with bleach.
• Don't wash with fabric softeners.
• Don't use whitening detergents or oxi-detergents.
• Don't use detergents with essential oils such as lavender.
• Don't use dryer sheet fabric softeners.
• Don't dry clean.

Bleach, body lotions, and oils can tarnish the silver thread, rendering it non-conductive. Fabric softener builds up on the silver and also ruins its conductive properties.

It is advised to wait at least one hour after applying lotion to the skin before using your product.

The grounding mats may be wiped down with soapy water, using a non-abrasive cloth or sponge.

The grounding bands can be gently hand washed in warm soapy water.
