BLEEDING
Severe bleeding is a major threat to life and always needs prompt a by the First Aider.
- Apply direct pressure to the wound using your hand or the, casualty's hand

- Apply a thick dressing
and a firm bandage. - Check circulation in the end of the banda

LARGE EMBEDDED FORCING BODY OR LACERATION
- Assist the casualty into a comfortable pc
- Tell the casualty not to rub or move
- Cover both eyes with a light dressing bandage.

- Assist the casualty into a sitting position head back and leaning to one side
- Gently separate the eyelids.

SPINAL INJURIES
UNCONSCIOUS CASUALTY
- Gently roll the casualty onto their side twisting and minimal movement
- Support the head and neck in alignment with the rest of the body.
- Maintain support of the head and neck with both of your hands place either side of the casualty's head until help arrives.
4.Get medical help.
IMPORTANT the management principles of DRABC ALWAYS take prior in the care and management of a suspected spinal injury.
CONSCIOUS CASUALTY
- Tell the casualty to remain still
- Immobilize the casualty's head by placing hands on both sides
- Loosen any constrictive clothing.

- Apply a pressure immobilization bandage over the entire limb.

The immediate aim of treatment is to the burned area.
- Cool the burn under cold running w for a minimum of 15 minutes.
- Remove items of clothing/jewellery like to retain heat.
- Cover with a loose sterile/clean dres e.g.hankerchief:pillowcase

DANGER.RESPONSE.AIRWAY.BREATHING.CIRCULATION
1. DANGER
The first step in DRABC is to look for, assess and where possible (any dangers that can injure:
- The first aider
- The bystanders
3.The casualty
These dangers may include fire, moving traffic, poisonous gases, electricity sharp objects etc.
CALL FOR HELP
When calling or sending a bystander for the following details must be given to the emergency services.
- The exact location-house number, street name, nearest cross street and or landmark, town and even state

3.How many people are hurt
- If anyone is trapped
5.DO NOT hang-up before the operator h finished. Let operator hang-up first

2. RESPONSE
The second step in DRABC is used to determine whether a casualty conscious or unconscious.
The Response is easily checked by Gentle Shake and Shout. This is do
- Gently shaking the casualty's should
- Calling out in a loud voice "Can y hear me? Open you eyes.
- The casualty's hands can also be squeezed to get a response,
IF THERE IS NO RESPONSE
gently roll the casualty onto the side while supporting the head.

The third step in DRABC is to check and ensure the casualty's airway clear of obstructions.
- Turn the casualty on the side
- Turn face slightly down and tilt head back
- Open mouth and look inside for any obstructions.
- Sweep out any obstructions with your fingers.
By tilting the head back the tongue is also moved away from the back of the throat and helps clear the airway.
If the casualty's check is clear or has been cleared proceed to the next step of DRABC Check the Breathing

The fourth step in DRABc is to check whether the casualty is breathing by 'Look,Listen and Fee!'.
- Look for movement of the casualty's chest and upper abdominal area.
2.Listen for air movement out of the casualty's mouth and nose - Feel for air movement against the side of your face

Immediately start EAR (Expired Air Resuscitation), usually Known as mouth-to-mouth resuscitation.
