How to activate the Vevor FB-01008 flood barrier?

Place the barrier flat where you want to block water. It expands naturally on contact with water in 5 to 10 minutes. For quick activation, pre-soak it in a bucket of water.

Can the barrier be reused after use?

Yes, let it dry completely in a dry, shaded area. Drying may take 2 to 3 months depending on conditions. It will reactivate upon contact with water.

What maximum height can it reach?

Once activated, the barrier expands up to 9 cm in height. By stacking multiple barriers in a pyramid shape, you can create higher protection.

Can the barrier be used with salt or chlorinated water?

No, it is designed only for fresh water. Salt, hard, or chlorinated water can damage the absorbent and reduce its effectiveness.

What should I do if white gel appears along the seams?

This is normal during first activation. The white gel is excess absorbent that does not affect function. You can ignore it.

Is the barrier toxic or dangerous?

No, the content is non-toxic and safe. However, once activated, the surface becomes very slippery. Avoid walking on it and immediately clean any overflow on sidewalks.

How to store the barrier before use?

Store it in a cool, dry place away from high temperatures, sunlight, and sharp objects. Shake the bag before use to distribute the absorbent.

How long does the barrier remain active?

It can stay in place for several months as long as it is in contact with water. When dry, it shrinks but reactivates if exposed to moisture again.

How to dispose of the used barrier?

You can throw it in the trash. The polymer will degrade over time. You can also cut open the bag and spread the gel in the garden for temporary moisture, but be careful: the gel is slippery.

Can the barrier freeze?

Yes, the water inside can freeze in low temperatures. Leave it in place to avoid damage; it will work again after thawing.

PRECAUTIONS

1) Flood barriers need to be stored or used away from sharp objects. 2) Flood barriers need to be stored in a cool and dry place, not in high temperature or sunlight. 3) Shake before use so that the absorbent is evenly distributed throughout the product. 4) Use with fresh water only. NOT intended to be used around salt, calcium, lime, or chlorine. 5) During first activation, white gel along stitching is normal.

6) The product may not be a solution for all situations.

PRODUCT DESCRIPTION

• Contains a super absorbent that expands and gels water. ● Gelled water creates a barrier to divert flooding.
• Once activated, a small amount of gel may be visible near stitching; this is normal. ● Safe, non-hazardous, and non-toxic.
• Lay barriers in position with the wider stitched area facing oncoming water.
• If high wind, place a rock on each end to prevent movement.
• If high water is expected, pre-soak & stack Barriers.
• Contents may freeze in cold temperatures - leave in position to prevent damage.

OPERATING GUIDE

1) Unpack the carton, remove it from the bag, and then place it on the ground and spread it flat.

2) When the water level is low or the rain is small, the product directly placed in the position where water needs to be absorbed blocked, so that the product can expand naturally. Pre-Soak Flood in water to activate. In 5-10 min they will absorb the water and 3.5 inches (9 cm) high.

3) If the water level is high or the water needs to be blocked by product can be soaked in water in advance to make it expand a Stack in a brick or pyramid formation if high volumes of water are expected.

DISPOSAL OPTIONS

1. Can be disposed of in the trash when no longer needed. 2. Polymer contents will degrade with sunlight exposure, pressure, and time, leaving an empty pouch that can be thrown in the trash. 3. Gelled contents can be cut out of the bag and spread on the lawn to provide temporary moisture until degradation occurs, typically within a few days.
