Before using the unit, carefully read both the Manual and Regulatory Warnings booklet. Keep these instructions for future reference and pass them onto any new owners of the unit.

Product overview
- Unpack and remove all labels from the unit except the nameplate. Please check that all parts are included and intact. If the unit is damaged or faulty, do not use it and take it to your retailer or after-sales service centre.
- Keep all packaging out of the reach of children. There is a risk of accidents if children play with packaging materials.
Intended use
- This unit has been designed exclusively for toasting sliced bread, muffins and bagels.
- Any other use may damage the unit or cause injury.

Before first use
- Clean the unit ( Cleaning and maintenance).
- Perform a few dry runs until the unit no longer emits any odour or smoke. When the toaster is in use, make sure the room is properly ventilated.
- Due to the manufacturing process, the unit may emit a faint burning smell when first turned on. This is completely normal and does not indicate a manufacturing defect or risk.
- Find a location for the toaster that is on a firm, level, heat-resistant surface that is at least 25 cm away from other objects or flammable materials such as curtains, tablecloths and dishcloths.
Use
NOTE:
- Remove all protective wrappings from the bread.
- Use this toaster to cook up to 2 slices of toast, muffins or bagels at a time.
- Do not use this appliance with any bread that contains sugar, jam or chocolate. Do not put bread with butter into the toaster.

The surfaces of the toaster may become hot when in use and before it has fully cooled after use. Wear protective gloves if necessary.

Completely unwind the power cable from its storage compartment.
- Insert the crumb tray.
- Insert up to 2 slices of regular-sized bread, bagels, crumpets or muffins into the toasting slots.
Select the desired toasting level via the toasting control knob. Choose from levels 1 to 7 according to your preference.
Settings Toasting level
1 to 3 Light brown
4 to 6 Golden brown
7 Dark brown
NOTE:
- Use a lower setting when toasting a single slice of bread.
• We recommend using browning level 4 to brown the bread (this saves energy). - The ideal browning level depends on the type of bread, thickness of the slices and the toasting time. It will be a matter of trial and error to determine your preferred setting.

Product usage
- Connect the power plug to a suitable mains socket.
Press the toasting control lever until it locks into place. The cancel indicator will light up.
The toasting process will start.
NOTE: The toasting control lever will not lock into place if the unit is not connected to a mains socket.

When the set toasting level has been reached, the toasting control lever will raise, and the unit will automatically switch off. The cancel button indicator will go off.

To manually stop the toasting process, press the cancel button ✗
Defrosting
- To toast frozen bread, insert the frozen bread into the toasting slots.
Press the toasting control lever until it clicks into place.
Press the defrost button ✦ The defrost indicator will light up.
Reheating
- Insert the cold toast into the toasting slots.
Press the toasting control lever until it clicks into place.
Press the reheat button 🎨The reheat indicator will light up.
In reheating mode, the toasting time is fixed. Once heated, the toasting control lever will lift up automatically.
- When removing smaller items, such as crumpets, lift up the toasting control lever to the top of the toaster to easily retrieve them.
• After use: unplug the unit.
Removing jammed toast
WARNING!
- The slices of bread and unit's components heat up considerably and will remain hot for some time after use. Do not use conductive utensils (e.g. a fork or knife) to remove toast from the unit, as this may damage the heating elements and could result in a risk of fire or electric shock.
- Use oven gloves or similar to protect yourself from burns when removing hot toast or wait until it has cooled down slightly.
CAUTION!
- Should toast get stuck in the unit, press the cancel button and then unplug the power plug from the mains socket.
- After unplugging the unit, wait until the toaster has cooled down completely.
- Ease the bread out of the toaster ensuring that you do not damage the heating elements.

CAUTION!
- If the toaster starts to smoke, immediately cancel toasting and remove the toast. If the toast is not the source of the smoke, clean the toaster as detailed in the Cleaning and maintenance section and then try toasting again. If the toaster continues to smoke, take it your nearest service centre for repair.
Cleaning and maintenance
WARNING!
- To prevent the risk of electrocution, turn off and unplug the appliance from the wall socket before cleaning.
- Allow the unit to cool down completely before cleaning.
- Do not immerse the unit, power cable, or plug, in water or any other liquids as they contain electrical components. Do not rinse them under the tap.
- Never use solvents, chemical or abrasive cleaning agents, wire brushes, sharp objects or scouring pads to clean the appliance.
Cleaning the outside of the toaster
- Clean with a soft, slightly damp cloth.
- Make sure no moisture gets inside the unit while cleaning it.
- Dry thoroughly with a soft, dry cloth.
Cleaning the crumb tray
WARNING!
Regularly clean the crumb tray. Do not let breadcrumbs accumulate at the bottom of the toaster.
- Slide the crumb tray out of the toaster.
- Throw away the crumbs.
- Clean with a mild soapy solution.
- Dry thoroughly before inserting it back into the unit.
Cleaning the inside of the toaster
- Turn the toaster upside down and gently shake it over a sink to remove crumbs from inside the toaster.
Storage
WARNING!
Before putting your unit away, ensure that it has been switched off, unplugged form the mains socket and left to completely cool.
- Wind the power cable around the storage compartment located underneath the unit.
- Store the unit in its original packaging in a cool, dry place, away from direct sunlight, excessive dirt and dust, and out of the reach of children or pets.
