FUNCTIONANDPURPOSE

Thisequipmentisdesignedforilluminateddisplayoffoodproductsat temperaturesbetween32°F(0°C)and68°F(20°C).Thisequipmentis intendedanddesignedtokeepchilledfoodatproperserving temperatureswhileitisdisplayforsale.Foodmustbepreparedand placedindisplaycabinetsatproperservingtemperatures.Display casesnotintendedordesignedtocoolorchillfood.Theyarenot intendedforovernightstorageofperishablefood.Theyarenot intendedforhousehold,industrialorlaboratoryuse.

UNPACKTHEEQUIPMENT

If the unithas been transported in an on- vertical position allow at least one hour before operating.

1. Remove all packing material and tape, as well as any protective plastic from the equipment.
2. Remove bolt that secure the equipment to the pallet.
3. Removeanyglueresidueleftoverfromtheplasticortape.
4. Cleantheequipmentbeforeuse.SeeCleaningprocedureinthis document.

COUNTERTOPMODELINSTALLATION

ClearanceRequirements

- Countertopcasesrequireaminimumof4"(10.2cm)between the equipmentandanysurroundingwalls.Surroundingwallsmustbe madeofnon-combustiblematerials.

Installation

1. Placetheequipmentonaflatstablesurface.
2. Plugtheequipmentintoaproperlygroundedelectricalsupply matchingthenameplaterating.Damagetotheequipmentcanoccur ifincorrectpowerissuppliedtoequipment.
   NOTICE: Usingavoltageotherthanthenameplateratedvoltage willcausedamagetotheunit.Incorrectvoltage, modificationtothepowercordorelectricalcomponents candamageunitandwillvoidthewarranty.
3. After the installation is complete the thin breather wires on the top of the side glass panels may be trimmed and crimped closed.

- Drop-incaserequiresaminimumof80squareinchesforfreshair intakeandaminimumof80squareinchesforexhaust.Customer suppliedlouversmustbeinstalledinthesurroundingcabinetto ensureadequateventilation.Oneintakeandonedischargelouverare required.Preferredlouverlocationistheshortendsofthecabinet.

Installation

1. Choose a flat, level countertop for themountings surface.
2. Measure the area for the cutout. See aboved drawing.

3.Sealthebaseoftheunittothecountertopwithfood-gradesilicone seal.
4. Plugtheequipmentintoaproperlygroundedelectricalsupply matchingthenameplaterating. Damagetothequipmentcanoccur ifincorrectpowerissuppliedtoequipment.

AMainPowerSwitch.IlluminatedswitchturnsthepowerONor OFFtotheequipment.

BLightSwitch.SwitchesthelightsONorOFF.

CMulti-FunctionButton. Dependingonthemodethisbutton turnsthepowerONorOFFtothecontrollerorincreases the temperature.

DMulti-FunctionButton. Depending on themodethisbutton activates the defrost function or decreases the temperature.

ESetButton.SwitchesthetemperaturesettingmodeONorOFF.

FDisplay. Display the current temperature or the temperature being programmed.

GCompressorCycleLight. Illuminatessteadilywhen the compressorisrunning.Flasheswhenthecompressorisinthe delaycycle, thislastsforabouttwominutesandisanormalpart ofcompressorcycling.

HDefrostLight.Flasheswhentheequipmentisinthedefrost mode.

IGlassHeaterSwitch. Available on countertop display cases with-only operatorside access. Not available on drop-incases or cases with customer-side (self-serve) access. Switch the glass defrost ON or OFF.

OPERATION

WARNING

Donotspraytheunitorcontrolswithwaterorcleaningproducts. Liquidcouldcontacttheelectricalcomponentsandcauseashort circuitoranelectricalshock.Donotuseunitifpowercordisdamaged orhasbeenmodified.

NOTICE: Before using, clean this equipment as described in the CLEANING section of this document.

NOTICE: Allowthedisplaycasetochillforapproximately30 minutesbeforeplacingfoodintothecase.

NOTICE: Foodmustbepreparedandplacedindisplaycasesat properservingtemperatures. Thisequipmentisnot intendedordesignedtocoolorchillfood. Regularlycheck thefoodtemperature.

NOTICE:Monitorfoodtemperaturecloselyforfoodsafety. The UnitedStatesPublicHealthServicerecommendsthathot foodbeheldataminimumof140°F(60°C)tohelpprevent bacteriagrowth.

Prepared, ColdFoodDisplayUse

1. SwitchthemainpowerswitchtotheONposition.
   2.SwitchthelightswitchtotheONpositionifdesired.

TurnontheController

Pressandholdthemulti-functionbuttonforthreeseconds.Whenthe displayshowsatemperature,thecontrollerisONandwillrefrigerate.

SettheTemperature

1. Pressandholdthesetbuttonfortwoseconds. The controller is now switched ON. Thedisplayflashestheprogrammed temperature.
2. To adjust the temperature, press them multi-function button to increase the temperature, or press the down button to decrease the temperature.
3. Pressthesetbutton. Thenumberdisplayisconstant, showing the currenttemperature.
4. The unit will now operate to the temperature.
5. Allow the display case to chill for approximately 30 minutes before placing food into the case.

GlassHeater(defrost)Function

1. Switch the glass heaters switch to the ON position.
2. Whenglasshasdefrosted, switch the glass defrost switch to the OFF position.

CaseDefrostFunction

1. Pressandholdthemulti-functionbuttonforthreeseconds. The defrostcyclewillbeginandthedefrostlightwillflash. Thedefrost cycletakesapproximatelytwohours.
2. Tomanuallystop, pressandholdthemulti-functionbuttonforthree seconds. Thedefrostcyclewillend.

AmbientTemperature, Non-ChilledDisplayUse

1. TurnthecontrollertotheOFFmode.
2. Pressandholdthemulti-functionbuttonforthreeseconds.When thenumberdisplayflashes "OFF", thecontrollerisintheOFFmode andwillnotrefrigerate.Theunitmaybeusedforambient temperaturedisplay.

CLEANING

WARNING

Keepwaterandotherliquidsfromenteringtheinsideofthe equipment.Liquidinsidetheequipmentcouldcausean electricalshock.

Donotspraytheunitorcontrolswithwaterorcleaningproducts. Liquidcouldcontacttheelectricalcomponentsandcauseashort circuitoranelectricalshock.Donotuseunitifpowercordisdamaged orhasbeenmodified.

NOTICE: Donotusecleaningproductscontainingaggressive chemicals, acids, orthatcontainchlorine.

Tomaintaintheappearanceandincreasetheservicelife,cleanyour equipmentdaily.

1. Unplugtheequipment.
2. Useadampclothorspongedippedinsoapywatertocleanthe equipment; rinseanddrythoroughly.
3. A high quality non-toxic glass cleanerm maybe used to clean the glass component so the unit.
4. Periodically removetherearpanelandcleanthecoilfinswithastiff brush.

PREVENTATIVE MAINTENANCE

Haveaqualifiedpersoncleanthecondensercoils,evaporatorandfans twiceayearorasnecessary.
