2. Intended purpose
The rotary shaver is intended exclusively for wet or dry shaving and for facial cleansing.
The device is designed for private home use and must not be used for commercial purposes. The device must only be used indoors.

Instructions for safe operation
- This device can be used by children from the age of 8 and people with restricted physical, sensory or intellectual abilities or people without adequate experience and/ or understanding, if they are supervised or instructed on how to use this device safely and if they are aware of the resulting hazards. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and maintenance by the user must not be performed by children without supervision.
This symbol indicates that you can clean the shaver under running water. DANGER! Disconnect the device from the plug-in power unit prior to doing so. Only use the included original power unit for mains operation.
WARNING!
- Keep the power unit and the cable dry!
- The hand-held part must be disconnected from the cable of the plug-in power unit before it is cleaned under running water.
- The battery may only be charged with the original accessory (plug-in power unit).

DANGER for children
Children must not play with packing material. Do not allow children to play with plastic bags. There is a risk of suffocation.
- Keep the device out of the reach of children.

DANGER to and from pets and livestock
Electrical devices can represent a hazard to pets and livestock. In addition, animals can also cause damage to the device. For this reason you should keep animals away from electrical devices at all times.

DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture
These safety instructions apply to the power unit and the device connected to the power unit. In battery mode, the shaver is protected against strong jets of water (protection type IPX6), but must not be immersed in water.
- Do not use this device in the vicinity of bathtubs, showers, washbasins or other vessels containing water.
- Protect the device from moisture, water drops and water splashes.
- Never touch the device with wet hands.
- The device and the plug-in power unit must not be immersed into water or other liquids.
- If the device has fallen into water, pull out the plug-in power unit immediately, and only then remove the device from the water. Do not use the device again, but have this checked by a specialist.

Should liquid enter the device, have it checked before starting the device up again.
-
If the device is used in a bathroom, the power unit must be pulled out after use, as the proximity of water represents a hazard, even when the device is switched off.
- Installation of a residual current device (FI/ RCD) with a rated residual operating current of no more than 30 mA is recommended to provide additional protection. Ask your electrician for advice. The installation should only be carried out by a qualified electrician.

DANGER! Risk of electric shock
- Do not start using the device if the device or the plug-in power unit has visible damage, or if the device has previously been dropped.
- Connect the plug-in power unit to the device before plugging it into a wall socket.
- Lay the cable of the plug-in power unit such that no one can step on it, get caught on it, or trip over it.
- Only connect the plug-in power unit to a properly installed easy to access wall socket which supplies voltage matching the rating plate. The wall socket must continue to be easily accessible after the device is plugged in.
- Ensure that the cable of the plug-in power unit cannot be damaged by sharp edges or hot surfaces. Do not wrap the cable around the device (risk of cable damage!)
- Ensure that the cable is not trapped or crushed.
- When removing the plug-in power unit from the wall socket, always pull the plug-in power unit and never the cable.

- To avoid any risk, do not make modifications to the device. Repairs must be carried out by a specialist workshop or the Service Centre.

DANGER from batteries
- Protect the battery against mechanical damages.
Fire hazard!
- Do not expose the device to direct sunshine or heat. The ambient temperature should not be lower than -10 °C and higher than +40 °C.
- The charge contacts on the device must not be connected by metallic objects.
- The battery may only be charged with the original accessory (power unit).
- Should the electrolyte solution leak out of the battery, avoid contact with eyes, mucous membranes and skin. Rinse immediately with plenty of clean water and consult a doctor. The electrolyte solution can cause irritation.
- The device is provided with a lithium-ion battery.
- The battery cannot be removed!
- This device must not be opened!
- The device with the installed battery must be disposed of properly.
WARNING! Risk of injury from cutting
- The points of the beard trimmer attachment are sharp. Handle with care.
- Do not use the device if the attachment shows damages.
- Switch off the device before pinning up or changing the attachments and each time before cleaning.
WARNING! Risk of injury
- Place the cable in such a way that no one trips over it or steps on it.
- Do not use the device on open wounds, cuts, sunburn or blisters.
WARNING! Risk of material damage
- Use the original accessories only.
- Never place the device on hot surfaces (e.g. hot plates) or near heat sources or open fire.
Do not cover the power unit to prevent overheating. - The blade unit of the shaving attachment can be cleaned using water. Do not use any other liquids.
- Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.

5. Charging
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
- The battery must only be charged using the plug-in power unit 15 supplied. Charging the battery via other devices is not permitted. The devices could be damaged.
NOTES:
- Before the device is used for the first time, and during the following three charging procedures, the device should be charged for 90 minutes in each case.
- When the battery is almost flat, the red battery symbol 14 flashes red. The device can then only be used for a short time without being connected to the electricity supply.
- It takes about 5 minutes to charge the device sufficiently for one shave.
-
When the battery is fully charged, the device can be used for approximately 60 minutes without being connected to the power supply.
-
Switch off the device with the on/off switch 13 if necessary.
- Insert the small plug of the plug-in power unit 15 into the connecting socket 7 of the shaver 12.
- Plug the plug-in power unit 15 into an easily accessible wall socket, the voltage of which corresponds to the rating plate of the plug-in power unit. The wall socket must continue to be easily accessible after the device is plugged in.
- The battery symbol 14 will be lit red and the battery will begin charging. When the battery is fully charged, the battery symbol flashes blue. When the battery is fully charged, the device can be used for approx. 60 minutes without being connected to the power supply.
6. Operation
6.1 Before switching on for the first time
CAUTION :
- After unpacking, there could still be oil residues on the shaving heads 8 of the shaving attachment 9. Remove these with an absorbent, lint-free cloth before using the device for the first time.
Regardless of the charging state of the battery, the rotary shaver 12 can always be used in mains operation.
- Before switching to mains operation, ensure that the device is switched off.
- Insert the small plug of the plug-in power unit 15 into the connecting socket 7 of the rotary shaver.
- Plug the plug-in power unit 15 in into an easily accessible wall socket, the voltage of which corresponds to the rating plate.
- Figure A: push the protective cap 16 downwards off the shaving attachment 9.
- Switch on the device with the on/off switch 13.
6.2 Transport lock
If the transport lock is activated, the battery symbol 14 flashes green when the on/off switch 13 is pressed.
- Press and hold the on/ off switch 13 for approx. 4 seconds, in order to switch the transport lock on/ off.
- Connecting the plug-in power unit 15 deactivates the transport lock, which cannot be activated during mains operation.
6.3 Changing the attachments
WARNING! Risk of injury!
- Switch off the shaver 12, before you attach or remove the attachments.
- Figure A: slide the protective cap 16 onto the shaving attachment 9 from below, with the opening first.
- Figure B: remove the attachment 4, 6 or 9 from the shaver 12.
- Figure B: insert the guide of the attachments 4, 6 or 9 into the recess of the motor unit for attachments 11, and press the attachment onto the shaver 12 until it audibly clicks firmly into place.


6.4 Pushing on/ removing the comb attachment
WARNING! Risk of injury!
- Switch off the device before replacing or changing a comb attachment 2.
Pushing on
- In order to attach the comb attachment 2, push it over the guide rails on the side of the device onto the beard trimmer attachment 4, until it is heard to click into place.
Removing
- Push the comb attachment 2 upwards using a moderate amount of force. The comb attachment 2 separates from the beard trimmer attachment 4.
- Remove the comb attachment 2.

6.5 Shaving

DANGER! Risk of electric shock due to moisture!
The shaver 12 and the plug-in power unit 15 are not waterproof and are therefore not allowed to be used in a shower/bath.
WARNING!
- Do not use the device on open wounds, cuts, sunburn or blisters.
- Do not place excessive pressure on the shaving heads 8. They are thin and can be damaged easily.
NOTES:
- Shaving is possible both in battery mode and in mains operation.
- Initial use may cause temporary irritation or redness of the skin, as the skin has to adjust to shaving. This is normal and usually lasts between 2 to 4 weeks.
- Hold the blade unit 8 parallel to the surface of the skin, and gently move it over your face using circular motions.
- Shave against the direction of your beard growth.
- Stretch your skin in complicated areas, such as the chin, to achieve better results.
- Switch off the device after shaving, clean the parts carefully (Chapter "Cleaning and care" on page 19) and to protect the shaving heads 8, slide the protective cap 16 onto the shaving attachment 9 from below.
6.6 Cutting hairlines and beard
WARNING! Risk of injury!
- The points of the beard trimmer attachment 4 are sharp. Handle with care.
• Figure C: adjust the cutting length at the comb attachment 2 according to the desired hair length. Read the cutting length on the side of the comb attachment 2 at the marking 3. The arrow symbol ▲ 17 indicates which cutting length is set. Now, shorten your beard step-by-step.
NOTE: ensure that the comb attachment 2 is still firmly attached to the device after adjustment.
- Use the device only with the beard trimmer attachment 4 and without comb attachment 2, to cut beard and hairline. In this way you can cut hair lengths of 1-2 mm evenly.
6.7 Facial cleaning
Using the brush attachment 6 with brush head 5 is like a gentle exfoliation. It gives you a revitalising and relaxing facial cleansing.
The gently rotating vibrating movement ensures deep cleansing and removes flakes of skin, as well as make-up. Skincare products can then be absorbed better. The blood flow to the treated areas of the skin is improved.
The result is a smoother and more beautiful complexion.
Use without skincare products
This function is used exclusively for massaging and has no cleaning effect.
- Remove the protective cap 1 from the brush head 5.
- Moisten your face and the brush head 5 with warm water.
- Press the brush head 5 against the part of your face that you wish to treat.
- Switch on the shaver 12.
- Move the brush head 5 over the skin in a circular motion.
Application times per use:
- on the forehead: 15 seconds
- on the nose and chin together: 15 seconds
- each cheek: 15 seconds.
NOTE: after use, the treated areas may be slightly reddened.
Use with skincare products
WARNING! Risk of injury!
- Avoid contact between the skincare product or the brushes and the area around the eyes.
Use this function for cleansing or the removal of make-up residues.
- Remove larger areas of make-up.
- Cleanse the area around the eyes completely by hand.
- Apply a thin layer of cleaning, exfoliation or microderma-brasion cream to the skin.
- Remove the protective cap 1 from the brush head 5.
- Moisten the brush head 5.
- Press the brush head 5 gently against the part of your face that you wish to treat.
- Switch on the shaver 12.
- Move the brush head 5 over the skin in a circular motion. Application times per use:
- on the forehead: 15 seconds
- on the nose and chin together: 15 seconds
- each cheek: 15 seconds.
- After the application, rinse your face with clean water.
NOTE: after use, the treated areas may be slightly reddened.
7. Cleaning and care

The hand-held part must be disconnected from the power cable before it is cleaned under running water.

- Always switch off the device before cleaning it.
WARNING! Risk of material damage!
- The blade unit 8 of the shaving attachment 9 can be cleaned using water. Do not use any other liquids.
- Do not use any astringent or abrasive cleaning agents.
NOTE: clean the device after every use.
7.1 Shaver
- Wipe down the housing of the shaver 12 with a damp cloth.
7.2 Shaving attachment / blade unit
Dry cleaning of the shaving attachment
- Clean the 3 shaving heads 8 after each shave using the cleaning brush 20.
- Press the release button 10 on the shaving attachment 9, so that the blade unit 8 opens.
- Carefully tap the blade unit 8 to empty it.
- Remove the hair remnants by using the cleaning brush 20.
Wet cleaning of the blade unit
The shaving heads 8 of the shaving attachment 9 can be cleaned with water.
- Press the release button 10 on the shaving attachment 9, so that the blade unit 8 opens.
- Clean the blade unit 8 under running water. Allow the water to flow through the shaving heads 8 from the inside to the outside.
- Allow the parts to dry completely.
- Close the blade unit 8, so that it clicks into place.
Thorough cleaning of the blade unit
NOTE: for thorough cleaning, an ultrasonic bath is recommended.
- Press the release button 10 on the shaving attachment 9, so that the blade unit 8 opens.
- Figure D: pull the blade unit 8 off the shaving attachment 9 by overextending it.
- Figure E: carefully turn the locking wheel 18 marked with arrows against the direction of the arrows, until the holder of the shaving heads 19 can be lifted off.
- Clean all parts under running water, and then allow them to dry completely.
- Reassemble the blade unit 8.
- Figure F: carefully turn the locking wheel 18 in the direction of the arrows, until the holder of the shaving heads 19 can no longer be lifted off.
- Push the blade unit 8 and the shaving attachment 9 back together and close the blade unit 8, so that it clicks into place.
- Push the shaving attachment 9 back onto the shaver 12, and ensure that it clicks firmly into place.

7.3 Beard trimmer attachment
- Remove the comb attachment 2. Rinse the comb attachment 2 with water and let it dry before reattaching it to the device.
- Remove the hair remnants from the beard trimmer attachment 4 by using the cleaning brush 20 included in the delivery.
- Every 6 months or so, apply a few drops of oil to the cutting edge of the beard trimmer attachment 4. Using a soft, lint-free cloth, wipe off the surplus oil, if necessary. Only use acid-free oil, such as e.g. sewing machine oil.
7.4 Brush attachment
Clean the brush head 5 and brush attachment 6 after each use. This prevents residues of skincare products from collecting on the brush attachment.
- Remove the brush attachment 6.
- Simply pull the brush head 5 upwards off the brush attachment 6.
- Clean the brush head 5 and brush attachment 6 with warm water and gentle soap to remove any deposits.
- Allow the parts to dry completely.
- Place the protective cap 1 on the brush head 5.


8. Disposal
The battery integrated into this device must not be disposed of in household waste. The device must be disposed of properly with the battery installed.

This product is subject to the provisions of European Directive 2012/19/EC. The symbol showing a wheelie bin crossed through indicates that the product requires separate refuse collection in the European

Union. This applies to the product and all accessories marked with this symbol. Products identified with this symbol may not be discarded with normal household waste, but must be taken to a collection point for recycling electric and electronic appliances. Recycling helps to reduce the consumption of raw materials and protect the environment.
Packaging
When disposing of the packaging, make sure you comply with the environmental regulations applicable in your country.

12. Warranty of the HOYER Handel GmbH
Dear Customer,
your device is provided with a 3 year warranty starting with the purchase date. In the event of product defects, you are entitled to statutory rights against the vendor. These statutory rights are not restricted by our warranty presented in the following.
Warranty conditions
The warranty period starts with the purchase date. Please keep the original purchase receipt in a safe place. This document is required to verify the purchase.
If within three years from the purchase date of this product a material or factory defect occurs, the product will be repaired or replaced by us – at our discretion – free of charge to you. This warranty implies that within the period of three years the defective device and the purchase receipt are presented, including a brief written description of the defect and the time it occurred.
If the defect is covered by our warranty, the repaired or a new product will be returned to you. No new warranty period starts with a repair or replacement of the product.
Warranty period and statutory claims for defects
The warranty period is not extended when the warranty has been claimed. This also applies to replaced and repaired parts. Any damages and defects already existing at the time of purchase must be reported immediately upon unpacking. Repairs arising after the expiration of the warranty period are subject to a charge.
Warranty coverage
The device was produced carefully according to strict quality guidelines and tested diligently prior to delivery.
The warranty applies to material or factory defects.
Excluded from the warranty are wear parts subject to normal wear and damages to fragile parts, e.g. switches, batteries, lamps or other parts manufactured from glass.

This warranty expires if the product is damaged, not used as intended or not serviced. For the proper operation of the product, all instructions listed in the operating instructions must be observed carefully. Any form of use and handling that is advised against in the operating instructions or warned against must always be avoided.
The product is only intended for private and not for commercial use. In the case of incorrect and improper treatment, use of force and interventions not performed by our authorised Service Centre, the warranty shall cease.

In order to ensure prompt processing of your matter, please observe the following notes:
- Please keep the article number IAN: 293734 and the purchase receipt as a purchase verification for all inquiries.
