How to install the batteries in the scale?

Open the battery compartment cover on the back of the device. Insert 2 AAA batteries following the indicated polarities.

How to turn the scale on and off?

Press the ON/OFF button to turn on. To turn off, if the screen shows '0', press briefly; if a weight is displayed, hold the button down.

How to select the measurement units?

Turn on the scale, then press the MODE button when the screen shows '18888' to switch between g/ml and lb:oz/fl'oz.

How to use the tare function?

Place the empty container on the scale, then press the ZERO button. The screen shows '0 g' or 'TARE' depending on the weight. Then add the ingredient.

How to measure the volume of water or milk?

Put the scale in volume mode by pressing MODE until 'Water' or 'Milk' is displayed. Place a container, tare, then pour the liquid. The volume displays in ml or fl'oz.

What does the 'Lo' display mean?

'Lo' indicates that the batteries are low. Replace them with new AAA batteries.

What to do if the screen shows 'Err'?

'Err' means overload. Immediately remove the excess weight to avoid damaging the scale. The maximum capacity is 5 kg.

How to clean the scale?

Use a soft damp cloth. Do not use chemicals or detergents. Avoid immersing in water.

Does the scale turn off automatically?

Yes, the scale turns off automatically after about 2 minutes if the display remains stable at '0 g' or if the same weight is displayed.

Can I weigh directly on the stainless steel bowl?

Yes, place the provided bowl on the scale before turning it on. You can also use other containers by using the tare function.

BATTERY INSTALLATION

1. Open the battery cover.
2. Install 2 new AAA batteries (please note the correct polarity).

UNIT SELECTION

This scale has two unit systems: metric (g, ml) and imperial (lb:oz, fl'oz). To change unit system press MODE button after switching on the scale, when display shows as below:

Please note, when setting g as weight unit, the default volume unit is ml; when setting lb:oz as weight unit, the default volume unit is fl'oz.

WEIGHT MODE

1. Place the scale on a solid and flat surface.
2. Place bowl (if used) on the scale before turning on the scale.
3. Press ON/OFF to enter weighing mode. The display will show all information.
4. Press MODE to select desired unit.
5. Put the product on the scale to start weighing, LCD will show the weight.
6. If the weighing object is water or milk, press MODE button to select volume mode; the volume will be displayed on the screen.

VOLUME MODE

1. Place the scale on a solid and flat surface.
2. Press ON/OFF to turn on the scale. Wait until LCD shows "0", and press MODE button to choose "Water" or "Milk" mode.
3. Put a liquid container onto the scale platform.
4. Press ZERO button to reset LCD to "0".
5. Pour liquid (water or milk) into the container, LCD shows the volume of the liquid.
6. Press MODE button to choose "Weight" mode and view the weight of liquid.

ZERO / TARE FUNCTION

To weigh different loads consecutively without removing loads from the scale, put first load on the scale. The display will show its weight. Press ZERO button to reset the reading. Add next product. The display will show weight of the second product. Repeat the process accordingly to your needs.

Condition 1: ZERO function

When total sum of all loads on scale = <4% of scale's max. weight capacity (200 g for 5000 g capacity).

LCD will show “----” or “0g” each time ZERO is pressed. “--” means not stable, please wait for a moment. “0g” and meanwhile an icon “o” on lower left corner of LCD means “ZERO” function is active. Max. weight capacity remains unchanged.

Condition 2: TARE function

When total sum of all loads on scale >4% of scale's max. weight capacity (200 g for 5000 g capacity).

LCD will show “----” or “0g” each time ZERO is pressed. “----” means not stable, please wait for a moment. “0g” and meanwhile an icon “TARE” on upper left corner of LCD means “TARE” function is active. Max. Weight capacity is reduced by total weight of all loads.

AUTO SHUT OFF

The scale will automatically turn off if the display shows "0" or the same weight reading for 2 minutes.

MANUAL SHUT OFF

Press ON/OFF button to turn off the scale manually.

Note: when display shows "0" press ON/OFF to turn off the scale. When display shows weight reading, press and hold ON/OFF button to turn off the scale.
