WARNING: To reduce the risk of fire, electric shock, serious personal injury, and property damage, please note the following:

  • Store the cooker out of reach of children and supervise its use by minors.
  • Do not use the cooker for anything other than its intended purpose.
  • If the cooker malfunctions, do not attempt to repair it yourself. Refer to the Warranty Policy on page 18 for guidance.

  • Regularly inspect the cord and plug for damage. Do not use the cooker if any part is damaged.
  • Ensure that the voltage of the power supply matches the specifications of the cooker. Use a suitable outlet.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot surfaces and sharp edges to prevent damage.
  • Ensure the cooker is placed in a well-ventilated area to prevent overheating. Avoid blocking the steam vents.
  • Ensure that the cooker is properly seated in the base to prevent liquid spills, which could damage it.
  • Ensure a safe distance between the cooker and flammable materials, such as clothing, curtains, or paper.
  • Do not exceed the maximum fill line indicated in the inner pot to prevent overflow during cooking.
  • The cooker is designed for electric use only; do not place it on a stovetop or other heat source.
  • Only use the inner pot and any additional accessories provided with the cooker. Do not use metal utensils that may scratch the non-stick surface.
  • Only use ingredients specified for rice cooking. Avoid using ingredients that may damage the inner pot.
  • Upon initial use, a smoky smell may occur as protective coatings or films on the cooker's parts burn off. This process is normal and ensures proper product function and safety.
  • The exterior of the cooker may become hot during use. Use caution when handling and allow it to cool before cleaning.

  • Be careful when opening the lid, as hot steam may escape and cause burns. Always open the lid away from your face.

  • Never leave the cooker unattended while plugged in, especially when it is turned on.
  • Do not leave cooked rice in the cooker for extended periods. Transfer leftovers to a separate container and refrigerate promptly.
    • Always unplug the cooker when not in use.

  • Do not immerse the cooker in water or any other liquids. Always keep it away from water and ensure it is unplugged before cleaning.

SPECIAL INSTRUCTIONS: A short power supply cord is provided to reduce the risk of becoming entangled in or tripping over a longer cord. Using an extension cord with the product is not recommended. However, if one must be used:

  • The marked electrical rating of the extension cord must be at least as great as that of the product.
  • Arrange the extension cord so that it does not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be tripped over or pulled.

WARNING: The product is equipped with a polarized plug (one blade is wider than the other) to reduce the risk of electrical shock, which is a safety feature. The plug is designed to fit into a polarized outlet in only one direction. If you are unable to insert the plug into the outlet, try reversing it. If the plug still does not fit, contact a qualified electrician. Never use the plug with an extension cord unless you can fully insert the plug into the extension cord. Do not alter the plug or attempt to bypass its safety features.

A RECIPE FOR THE SAUTE MODE: Sautéed Chicken and Rice

Ingredients:

• 2 tablespoons olive oil
• 1 lb (about 2-3 breasts) chicken breast, cut into bite-sized pieces
• 1 medium onion, diced
• 1 bell pepper, diced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1½ cups long-grain white rice
• 3 cups chicken broth (or water)
• 1 teaspoon paprika
• 1 teaspoon dried thyme
- 12 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
• ¼ teaspoon black pepper (or to taste)
• 1 cup frozen peas (optional)
• Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Press the "Sauté" button on the cooker. Add olive oil and let it heat up.
  2. Add the bite-sized chicken pieces to the cooker. Cook, stirring occasionally, until the chicken is browned on all sides (about 5-7 minutes). Remove the chicken and set it aside.

  3. In the same cooker, add the diced onion, bell pepper, and garlic. Sauté for about 2-3 minutes until softened and fragrant.

  4. Stir in the rice, paprika, thyme, salt, and pepper. Cook for about 1-2 minutes to let the rice toast slightly.

  5. Pour in the chicken broth (or water) and return the chicken to the cooker. Stir everything together.

  6. Close the lid, press the "White Rice" or "Brown Rice" button based on the rice type, and let it cook.

  7. When the cooker switches to "Keep Warm", add the frozen peas (if using). Close the lid and let it sit for another 5 minutes to allow the peas to heat through.

  8. Fluff the rice with a fork, garnish with fresh parsley, and serve.

A RECIPE FOR THE SMART STEAM MODE: Steamed Salmon with Vegetables

Ingredients:

• 2 salmon fillets (about 4-6 oz each)
• 1 tablespoon olive oil
• 1 lemon, thinly sliced
• 2 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 teaspoon dried dill (or fresh dill if available)
• Salt and pepper to taste
• 1 cup baby carrots, halved or whole
• 1 cup broccoli florets
• 1 cup water (for steaming)

Instructions:

  1. Season the salmon fillets with salt, pepper, and dried dill. Drizzle with olive oil and top with thin slices of lemon and minced garlic.
  2. Cut the baby carrots into halves or leave them whole, depending on their size. Break the broccoli into small florets.
  3. Pour 1 cup of water into the cooker's inner pot. This will be used to generate steam.
  4. Place the inner steam tray in the cooker. Arrange the salmon fillets on the inner steam tray.
  5. Add the carrots and broccoli around the salmon, ensuring that everything is in a single layer for even steaming.
  6. Close the lid and press the "Smart Steam" button. Steam for about 15-20 minutes, depending on the thickness of your salmon fillets and the size of your vegetables. The salmon should be opaque and flake easily with a fork, and the vegetables should be tender.
  7. After 15 minutes, open the cooker and check the salmon and vegetables for doneness. If the salmon isn't fully cooked, steam for an additional 5 minutes.

  8. Once everything is cooked, carefully remove the salmon and vegetables. Serve with additional lemon wedges or a sprinkle of fresh dill, if desired.

A RECIPE FOR THE SLOW COOK MODE: Slow-Cooked Pulled Pork

Ingredients:

• 2-3 lbs pork shoulder (or pork butt)
- 1 onion, sliced
• 4 cloves garlic, minced
• 1 cup barbecue sauce (your favorite brand)
• 12 cup apple cider vinegar
- 12 cup chicken broth or water
• 1 tablespoon brown sugar
• 1 teaspoon smoked paprika
• 1 teaspoon ground cumin
• 1 teaspoon chili powder

  • 12 teaspoon salt (or to taste)
  • 14 teaspoon black pepper
    • 1-2 tablespoons olive oil (for searing, optional)
  • Buns for serving (optional)

Instructions:

  1. Rub the pork shoulder with salt, pepper, smoked paprika, cumin, chili powder, and brown sugar. Make sure the seasoning covers the meat evenly.

  2. Press the "Sauté" button, heat olive oil in the cooker and sear the pork shoulder on all sides for about 5-7 minutes until browned. This adds extra flavor to the meat, but you can skip this step if you're short on time.

  3. After sautéing (if applicable), remove the pork shoulder from the cooker. Add the sliced onion and minced garlic to the inner pot and sauté for 2-3 minutes until fragrant.

  4. Place the pork shoulder back into the cooker, along with the barbecue sauce, apple cider vinegar, and chicken broth (or water).

  5. Press the "Slow Cook" button. Let the pork cook for about 6-8 hours on low or 4-5 hours on high, depending on the size of the pork. The pork is done when it becomes tender and easily pulls apart with a fork.

  6. Once the pork is done, remove it from the cooker and shred it using two forks. Discard any large pieces of fat and return the shredded pork to the cooker to mix with the remaining sauce and onions.

  7. Serve the pulled pork on buns for sandwiches, or enjoy it with sides like mashed potatoes, roasted vegetables, or coleslaw.

USING THE KEEP WARM MODE

  • After the cooking cycle is complete, you will hear beeping, and the digital display will countdown from "0," indicating it has automatically switched to the "Keep Warm" mode.
  • The “Keep Warm” mode will only turn off when the power button is pressed, or the plug is removed.
  • If you suddenly turn off the cooker and want to switch to "Keep Warm" mode, just press the "Keep Warm" button; you will hear beeping to confirm the mode selection.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

  1. When you are done cooking, unplug the cooker. Let the inner pot and any additional accessories cool down completely before handling.

  2. Remove them from the cooker and wash them with warm, soapy water. Rinse and dry thoroughly.

NOTE: If food is stuck, soak the inner pot in warm, soapy water for a few minutes before scrubbing.

WARNING: Avoid abrasive cleaners or scouring pads that can scratch the surface.

  1. Use a damp cloth to clean the exterior of the cooker.

WARNING: Avoid submerging the exterior in water or using harsh chemicals.

  1. Check the heating element for any food residue and wipe it gently with a damp cloth. Ensure it is dry before reassembling.

  2. Once everything is dry, reassemble the cooker and store it in a cool, dry place away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Ensure that all components are stored together to avoid misplacement.
