3.2. Preparation for operation
POSITIONING OF THE UNIT
The ambient temperature should be between -10 and 50 °C.
CAUTION!: Make sure that the support structure on which the unit will move is strong enough to withstand the weight of the load
and the unit. Do not mount the unit on a support structure that cannot be verified as to its load-bearing capacity and strength.
The responsibility for mounting on a support structure and for the support structure itself rests with the user.
Special care must be taken when attaching the unit to the supporting structure, and all conditions for safe operation must be ensured in order to avoid hazards resulting in possible personal injury.
The maximum deviation from the horizontal of the cart track should not exceed 0.3%.
ASSEMBLY OF THE UNIT
Assembly and operation of the machine should be performed by a qualified person.
- Measure the preferred track width of the machine, making sure to maintain a gap of approximately 2mm between the flange of the machine wheel and the rail on which it will run.
- Adjust the track width:
- Loosen the hex nuts, spacing the side plates to the preferred width (keeping them parallel).
- Fill in the gaps on both sides of the side plates with washers, making sure that the load carrier is centered.
- Screw on the previously removed hexagon nuts. Make sure they are tightened securely.
3.3. Working with the unit
- Check the condition of the unit before each use.
- Before using the unit for the first time, test its correct installation and operation by suspending a light load and slowly rolling it along its travel path.
Each wheel should be flush and moving freely on the rail with the side plates parallel to each other.
-
The load should be carefully secured against falling and suspended from the handle.
-
For models without a chain, the unit must be pushed to move.
In contrast, the SBS-RT-1000N1 model is equipped with a gear that moves the cart when the chain is pulled. The unit must be moved in a steady motion, no sudden movements or jerks are allowed.
3.4. Cleaning and maintenance
a) Use only non-corrosive cleaning agents for cleaning the surfaces.
b) After each cleaning, all the parts should be dried well before the unit is used again.
c) Store the unit in a dry and cool place protected from moisture and direct sunlight.
d) Do not spray the unit with a stream of water or immerse it in water.
e) Perform regular inspections of the unit checking technical fitness and any damages.
f) Do not use sharp and/or metal objects (e.g. a wire brush or metal spatula) for cleaning, as these may damage the surface of the material from which the unit is made.
g) Do not clean the unit with acidic substances, medical products, diluent, fuel, oil or other chemicals as this may cause damage to the unit.
h) Regularly maintain all moving parts of the unit and the travel path with grease.
