DESCRIPTION

INSTRUCTIONS

Put the appliance on a firm surface.

Before using:

■ Fully unwind the lead.

■ Open the appliance.

■ Remove all packaging, labels or accessories from the inside and outside of the appliance.

■ Coat the plates lightly with cooking oil or spray with a non-stick aerosol.

■ Wipe with a soft cloth.

Using your appliance

■ Close the appliance.

■ Check that the switch is set at 0.

■ Connect the lead to the mains. Set the switch (f) to on (position 1). The red light (d) comes on (1).

■ Leave the appliance to pre-heat: the green light (e) comes on when the cooking temperature has been reached (2).

■ Open the appliance (3). Using a ladle, pour the waffle batter onto the lower plate of the appliance.

■ Pour the batter taking care to cover each square and not to let it overflow.

■ Close the appliance.

■ Leave to cook for the time stated in the recipe.

■ While the waffles are cooking it is normal for the green light to switch on and off.

■ At the end of cooking, switch the appliance off by pressing 0. Then disconnect the plug.

■ Leave to cool for 2 hours.

CLEANING

■ Always disconnect the appliance before cleaning, and leave to cool completely.

■ Do not immerse the appliance.

To clean the exterior,

wipe with a damp cloth and dry.

To clean the interior,

wipe the plates with a damp cloth, some dishwashing soap may be used. Then wipe with a wet sponge and dry carefully.

STORAGE

The appliance can be stored vertically to save space. Wind up the cord into the cord storage area (4).

Classic waffles

Delicious traditional crispy waffles.

Makes 16 waffles

Cooking time: approximately 3 12 min

300 g plain flour, 10 g (1 level tablespoon) baking powder, salt, 75 g caster sugar, 100 g butter, 2 eggs, 12 litre milk.

Mix the flour and baking powder in a bowl. Make a well in the centre and add the salt, sugar, melted butter and eggs. Gradually add the milk. Let the batter stand for 1 hour.

Light waffles

Enjoy these light texture waffles.

Makes 12 waffles

Cooking time: approximately 3 to 3 12 min

300 g plain flour, 1 tbsp baking powder, pinch salt, 1 tbsp sugar, 2 eggs, 400 ml milk.

Beat the eggs until frothy. Add the other ingredients and beat the mixture until smooth.

Belgian waffles

Discover a waffle as it is made in Belgium.

Makes 16 waffles

Cooking time: approximately 4 to 4 12 min

5 eggs, 1 tbsp baking powder, 300 g plain flour, 300 g caster sugar, 300 g butter.

Soften the butter. Combine the flour, sugar and baking powder. Add the softened butter and the eggs. Mix well.

Soft belgian waffles

Enjoy crusty and soft waffles.

Makes 16 waffles

Cooking time: approximately 5 to 5 12 min

500 g plain flour, 12 tbsp baking powder, 400 g melted butter, 400 g caster sugar, 200 ml milk, 12 packet vanilla sugar or 12 tsp vanilla essence, 5 eggs.

Beat the egg whites to form stiff peaks. Beat the egg yolks. Gradually add the remaining ingredients, finishing with the stiffly beaten egg whites. This batter is best made the day before and kept in the refrigerator.

Sponge waffles

Add lemon zest for delicious waffles.

Makes 10 waffles

Cooking time: approximately 3 to 3 12 min

5 egg yolks, 5 tbsp hot water, 100 g caster sugar, grated zest of one lemon, 150 g plain flour, 12 tsp baking powder, 5 egg whites.

Beat together the egg yolks, water, sugar and lemon zest. Combine the flour and baking powder and add them to the mixture. Beat the egg whites to form stiff peaks and fold them into the mixture.

Vanilla waffles

An exotic vanilla delight.

Makes 14 waffles

Cooking time: approximately 3 to 4 min

200 g butter, 50 g caster sugar, vanilla pod or 1 tsp vanilla essence, pinch salt, 6 eggs, 300 g plain flour, 2 tsp baking powder, ¼ litre milk, 1 tbsp rum.

Cream the butter with the sugar, vanilla and salt. Combine the flour and baking powder and add to the mixture. Gradually add the milk and eggs, then the rum.

Cheese waffles

Ideal for aperitif time!

Makes 20 waffles

Cooking time: approximately 4 to 4 12 min

100 g butter, 8 egg yolks, 12 tsp salt, 500 g plain flour, 12 tsp baking powder, 50 g grated Parmesan, 12 litre water, 8 egg whites (stiffly beaten).

Cream the butter until soft. Combine the flour and baking powder. Add in order the egg yolks, salt, flour, cheese and water. Fold in the stiffly beaten egg whites.
