Dressproperly. Keephair, loose clothing, fingers, and all part of the body away from openings and moving parts. Be aware of the position of the blower and their inlets during operation. Loose clothing, jewelry and hair can be drawn into the inlets (referto the following figure) and may result in personal injury. Always wears substantial footwear, long pants, and eyeprotection.

Important: You must install the blower tube before installing the inlet cover because the inlet cover hooks onto the blowertube. The blower will not run unless the bottom inlet cover is locked in place.

Theimpellerrotatesforafewsecondsafteryou turnofftheblowerandcancutorinjurefingers. Donotremovethebottominletcoverwhenthe motorisrunningorwhentheunitispluggedinto apoweroutlet.

Important: Thisblowerisintendedforoutdoor, residentialuseonly.Donotuseitindoorsorfor commercialorindustrialpurposes.

Connecting to a Power Source

Useonlyapolarized(i.e., onebladeiswiderthanthe other), ULlisted(CSAcertifiedinCanada)extension cordrecommendedforoutdooruse.Apolarizedplug willfitinapolarizedcordonlyoneway.Iftheplug doesnotfitfullyinthecord,reversethecord.Ifitstill doesnotfit,purchaseapolarizedextensioncord.Do notchangethepluginanyway.

Warning

If you donotfully seat the extension cordon the inlet plug, the loose plug could lead to overheating and cause a fire, possibly burning you or others.

Ensure that you fully seat the chord on the plug and set the chord lock feature to secure the cord.

Important: Check the power cord frequently during use for holes in the insulation. Donotusea damaged cord. Donotrunthecord through standing water or wet grass.

UsingtheVacuum

Caution

• Donotvacuumsharp, pointed, or hard object that could be thrown through the fabric of the bag, such as wires, staples, nails, or rocks.

Donotstoredebrisinthebag.Tocleanthebag,turn itinsideoutandshakeoutanyexcessdebris.Oncea year,handwashthebaginsoapywaterandallowit toairdry.

Warning

Normalusageofthebagcausesittowearand deteriorateovertime.Awornordeterioratedbag allowssmallobjectstobethrownthroughthe bag,possiblyinjuringtheoperatororbystanders. Checkthebagfrequently.Ifitiswornor deteriorated,replaceitwithagenuineToro vacuumbag.

RemovingCloggedDebrisfromthe Impeller

1. Turn off and unplug the vacuum from the power source and wait for all moving part stop.

1. Check the impeller for any sign of damage. If it is damaged, contact your Authorized Toro Dealer.

2. Installthevacuumtubeor, if you want to switch to blower mode, the bottom inlet cover. Referto Converting from Blow to Vacuum or Converting from Vacuum to Blower form more information.

Storage

Storetheblower/vacuumandextensioncordindoors, inacooldrylocation,outofreachofchildrenand animals.

Troubleshooting

If your blowerfailstorun when you turniton, consult the following list before contacting your Authorized Toro Dealer:

• Ensure that the bottominlet cover or vacuum tube is locked in place.
• Ensure that the power cord is secured in place on the back of the blower and that the plug is fully seated.

The ToroCompanyanditsaffiliate, ToroWarrantyCompany, pursuant to an agreement between them, jointly warrant this product for two years against defects in material or workmanship when used for normal residential purposes.
