How to use the Sogo SS-13505 sharpener?

Hold the device in one hand with your thumb on the power button. Place the blade in the wheel slot and move the knife back and forth. Sharpen each side of the blade using the appropriate slot.

What types of knives can I sharpen?

This sharpener is compatible with standard metal knives. It does not work with ceramic knives. Scissors can be sharpened if they are not too thick.

How to recharge the sharpener?

Use the included micro-USB cable and a standard power adapter (not included). Plug the cable into the charging port. The indicator turns yellow during charging, then green when the battery is full (about 2 hours).

What if the sharpener stops working or runs poorly?

This likely means the battery is discharged. Recharge the device for about 2 hours. If the problem persists, contact customer service.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS FOR THE USER

• Do not place or operate the knife sharpener near water sources.
• Never immerse the sharpener or the charging cable-in water or any other liquid. In the event of the sharpener falling in water take it to an authorized service agent for repair before reusing.

- Do not place or operate the sharpener on or near hot surfaces (e.g., stove plates) or open flames.

- In case of product malfunction, or if it has been damaged in any manner, return it to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair or adjustment.

• In case of hardware problems, do not attempt to repair the product yourself. Repairs should only be carried out by

qualified technicians.

• Never use accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
• Do not use the sharpener for any other purpose than described in this manual.
• Do not leave the sharpener, in charge longer than recommended by the manufacturer, as this may damage the battery or the sharpener itself.
• Do not use the sharpener while in charge, otherwise it may also damage it.
• Keep the sharpener away from direct sunlight, fire, and humid atmosphere.
• Do no use wet clothing or paper to do cleaning process.
  • Only an adult can use this product, it is totally restricted to use by the children.
• This knife sharpener is not a toy and keep away from the children.
• Do not let the children play or come nearby to you while sharpening the knives, as the knives edges are quite sharp.

WORKING

1. Hold the knife sharpener by one hand in such a way so that you can press the power-button by using Thumb finger. Like picture 2

1. Hold the knife in other hand and place it in to the gap of sharpening stone wheel, move the knife from backward to forward and vice versa same as like picture 2. There is a curvy design to make sure the knife edge sharpened properly. As shown in the picture 3.

1. Once the one edge of the knife has been sharpened, follow the same process to sharpen the other edge of the knife by placing it on to the other side of the wheel.
2. Once you have sharpened the both edges of the knife, put the sharpener aside and try it and incase you are not satisfied or the edges has not been sharpened enough, then repeat the procedure until you get the perfect sharpened knife.

Note: This sharpener doesn't work with ceramic knives.

Note: you can sharpen the Scissors but need to consider the size, as big and too thick Scissors can't be sharp properly.

Note: 12-15 degree of the blade angle is the best fit to this knife sharpener.

CLEANING:

Using dry cloth or paper to clean the sharpener and keep it away from the humid place to protect it and last longer.

CHARGING:

When you see that the sharpener is not sharpening and the wheels are not spinning well, so it means knife sharpener need to recharge.

You can charge the knife sharpener with the help of micro-USB charging cable provided with this sharpe-ner or you can use any micro-USB cable as well to charge. For the wall plug as well you can use mobile charging cable wall adaptor.

Maximum charging time to charge this sharpener is 2 hrs., so once you plug in the cable to charge the yellow light switches on, and once it has charged fully the light turns in to green color, this is the time when nee to unplug the unit.

DISPOSAL OF BATTERY-OPERATED UNITS

Do not dispose the battery-operated units as normal rubbish, always these should be recycled in proper manner and according to the local municipal laws.
