SOMMAIRE

Read these instructions thoroughly before using the device. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.

• Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the device rating label and that the plug is earthed.
• This device is designed for domestic use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.
• If the appliance is to be used in a bathroom, it must be unplugged from the wall socket after use, as the proximity to water could be a risk even with the appliance switched off.
• As additional protection, it is recommended that a Residual Current Device (RCD) having a rated operating fault current not exceeding 30 mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. We recommend you ask a qualified installer for advice.
• This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance must not be carried out by unsupervised children.
• This icon means that the appliance must not be used in a bathtub, shower, or any other water-filled tank.
• WARNING: do not use the device near bathtubs, showers, sinks, or other water-filled containers.
• Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the device in water or any other liquid or expose

electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.

• Check the power cable regularly for visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any danger.
• Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked.
• Turn off and unplug the appliance from the power supply immediately after use.
• Unplug the appliance immediately under the following circumstances: abnormal operation, needs cleaning, and/or after use.
• Do not insert metal objects through the air inlets to avoid electric shocks.
• Do not wind the cable around the device.
• Keep your face, neck, and scalp away from the device.
• Do not leave the device on any surface while in operation.
• Do not use the appliance to dry wigs, natural hair extensions, fake hair nor animal hair.
• The air inlet ensures good ventilation of the appliance. Do not cover or obstruct it, as this may cause overheating.
• Do not insert objects in the air inlet.

2. BEFORE USE

- This appliance is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.

- Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

3. OPERATION

1. Wash and condition your hair.
2. Dry your hair with a towel and comb it.
3. Install the concentrator nozzle on the front part of the dryer, if desired.
4. Plug the appliance into a power supply. Before plugging the appliance into the power supply, make sure that the power switch is always in the off position.
5. Switch on the appliance by sliding the switch and select the desired air speed.
6. Select the desired mode by pressing the change of mode button repeatedly.
7. Select the desired temperature level by pressing the temperature change button repeatedly. In baby and pet modes you can select between warm and hot air. In normal and quick dry modes, you can also select the option of cold air.
8. The temperature indicator light ring will illuminate blue for cold air, red for hot air and both colours for warm air (Fig. 2).
9. In either mode, press and hold the temperature button to activate the oscillating temperature. The light ring will change between the 3 colours to indicate the change of temperature.
10. Once you have finished using the appliance, switch it off and unplug it from the power supply.

Warning

If you notice that the appliance switches off or stops blowing hot air, then the overheating protection has been activated. In this case, unplug it from the power supply and allow it to cool down for a few minutes. Before switching it back on, make sure there are no fluffs, hair, or other objects blocking the air inlet grille.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Disconnect the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
• Use a soft, cotton cloth to clean the appliance inlets and outlets.
• Do not use sharp tools near the inlets and outlets of the appliance to avoid damage.
• Do not immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid and do not expose it to water while cleaning it.

- Do not use abrasive scouring pads, powders, or cleaners.

- You can remove the air inlet grille to clean it with a soft cloth. To do that:

1. Make sure the hair dryer is switched off, unplugged, and has cooled down.
2. With the hair dryer in an upright position, hold the handle of the dryer and pull the grille away from the handle.
3. Clean the grille and the interior mesh carefully.
4. Follow the reverse process to refit the grille. When the grille is placed in position, it will magnetically adhere to the handle of the dryer.

5. TROUBLESHOOTING

Problem Possible causes Solutions
The device does not turn on	The power cord is not properly plugged in.	Make sure that the power cable is properly connected, confirm that there is no abnormality and turn the device back on.
	Power switch in off position.	Make sure the power switch is in the on position.
Indicator light ring flashing white	The power cord is not properly plugged in.	Make sure that the power cable is properly connected, confirm that there is no abnormality and turn the device back on.
	Defective power cable.	Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
Indicator light ring flashing yellow or red	The air inlet or outlet is blocked.	Check whether the air inlet or outlet is obstructed by fluff or hair, confirm that there is no abnormality and switch the device back on.
Internal heating elements light up red	The air inlet or outlet is blocked.	Check whether the air inlet or outlet is obstructed by fluff or hair, confirm that there is no abnormality and switch the device back on.
	Defective heating wire.	Contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.
