Frequently Asked Questions - FCFE3062BK FRIGIDAIRE

How to install the anti-tip bracket?
The anti-tip bracket must be fixed to the wall or floor using the provided screws. Use the template to position the holes, drill pilot holes of 3 mm (1/8") in wood or 4 mm (5/32") in concrete, then screw in the bracket. Make sure the rear leveling leg of the range fits into the bracket after installation.
How to level the range?
Use a wrench to adjust the four leveling legs. Check with a spirit level. Leave at least 3 mm (1/8") gap between the bottom of the range and the leg to allow insertion into the anti-tip bracket.
What type of electrical connection is needed?
The appliance requires a 240 V supply with a 40 or 50 A circuit breaker. It can be connected with a power cord (3 or 4 wires) or by permanent wiring. Follow local codes and use a cord kit suitable for the power rating (see the rating plate).
How to connect a 4-wire power cord?
Disconnect the factory ground strap by removing the screw and ground plate. Connect the L1 (black), L2 (red), neutral (white) wires to the terminal block, and the green ground wire to the chassis with the ground screw. Install the cable clamp and replace the cover.
Can I use a 3-wire power cord?
Yes, for existing installations only. In this case, the factory ground strap (connecting neutral to chassis) must remain in place. Connect the L1, L2, and neutral wires to the terminal block. Make sure the cable clamp is properly installed.
Where is the rating plate located?
The rating plate is located on the front of the appliance, visible when the oven door is open. It indicates the model number, serial number, power rating, and voltage.
How to clean the range?
Refer to the Use and Care Guide for detailed instructions. In general, use a damp cloth and mild detergent for surfaces. Avoid abrasives. For deeper cleaning, you can remove the range by disconnecting power and pulling it slightly forward after lifting the front.
What to do if the range tips?
Check that the anti-tip bracket is properly installed and the rear leg is engaged. Do not operate the range without the bracket. If tipping persists, contact a qualified installer.
How to remove the range for servicing?
Disconnect the power supply. If the plug is inaccessible, slightly lift the front and pull the range just enough to unplug. Remove it completely for cleaning or maintenance. Watch out for the power cord.
What are the minimum clearance dimensions?
A minimum clearance of 76.2 cm (30") is required between the cooking surface and an unprotected cabinet. Reduced to 61 cm (24") if a fire-resistant panel is installed. Leave 0" clearance at the rear. Side cabinets must be at least 5" (127 mm) above the burners.
