Wattage/Peak Power Information
The wattage/ampere rating of the blender is determined by an Underwriters Laboratory test and is based on available cutting blade assembly, jar combinations, and attachments that may not be provided with your unit, but are available as replacement parts. This is a measure of input wattage/amperes after 30 seconds of operation.
the rating of the appliance. Care must be taken to arrange the extension cord so that it will not drape over the countertop or tabletop where it can be pulled on by children or accidentally tripped over.
If the cutting blade assembly locks and will not move, it will damage the motor. Do not use. Contact Customer Service for information.
Do not place blender jar in the freezer filled with food or liquid. This can result in damage to the cutting blade assembly, jar, blender, and possibly result in personal injury.
To avoid an electrical circuit overload, do not use another high-wattage appliance on the same circuit with this appliance.
Peak power is the measure of the motor wattage during the first seconds of operation. This is when a blender requires the most power to crush ice, frozen fruit, etc. This is a better measure of what a blender motor can consume when power is needed most.

Tips and Techniques
- For a more uniform consistency, start with pieces of food that are similar in size. Cut food into 1-inch (2.5-cm) pieces before processing with Chopping/Mixing Blade.
- This Food Processor is excellent to chop, mix, slice, or shred most foods. However, to maintain peak performance, do not use your Food Processor Attachment for the following: grinding grain, coffee beans, or spices; slicing frozen meats; kneading dough; or crushing ice.
- When chopping foods, pulsing on and off will produce best results.
-
Operating time will depend on quantity of food being processed. Most foods can be sliced, chopped, or shredded in seconds. If unit is operated continuously for an extended period of time, let Food Processor Attachment rest about 4 minutes before continuing.
-
Do not puree or mash starchy vegetables like potatoes as they are easily overprocessed and will become gummy.
• To slice or shred cheese, use only firm cheese like cheddar, Monterey Jack, or Swiss that has been chilled for at least 30 minutes. - Reversible Slicing/Shredding Disc has a slicing blade on one side and shredding teeth on other side. The name engraved on blade, facing up, is the function selected. For slicing, the word "SLICE" should face up; for shredding, the word word "SHRED" should face up. Place on Food Processor Adapter with desired cutting edge facing up.
• To julienne vegetables, slice, remove from Bowl, and restack vegetables. Pack into Food Chute with slices vertical. Slice again to make matchstick-cut vegetables. - When using Food Processor Chopping/Mixing Blade, do not process liquids past MAX LIQUID FILL line, and other ingredients past the 3-cup/24 oz. line.
Food Processing Chart
Disc is reversible and labeled. Label should face up for desired function. When using Disc, do not process past MAX LIQUID FILL line on Bowl.
