Sicherheitshinweise

Warning! Do not use this product near water or heavy moisture; e.g. in a damp basement or beside a swimming pool or bathtub.

• This product can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved.
• Children shall not play with the product and shall therefore be supervised. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children without supervision.
• A damaged power cord may only be replaced by the manufacturer or a workshop commissioned by the manufacturer or by a similarly qualified person in order to avoid hazards.
• When the product is used in a bathroom, unplug it after use since the proximity of water presents a hazard even when the product is switched off.
• For added protection, we recommend that a residual current device (RCD) with a maximum rated residual current of 30 mA be installed. This may only be installed by an expert.
• Burning hazard! Keep the appliance out of the reach of young children while it is switched on or cooling down.
• Do not leave the appliance unattended while it is connected to the mains.
• If the appliance is placed on a surface with its stand, it must be ensured this surface is stable, flat and heat-resistant.
• Follow the instructions in the chapter Cleaning and care.

Safety Instructions

1. Read this manual before first use thoroughly. It contains important information for your safety as well as for the use and maintenance of the equipment. Keep these instructions for future reference and pass it on with the product.
2. Pay particular attention to the warnings on the product and in this instruction manual.
3. Use the product only for its intended purpose. Improper use may lead to hazards.
4. This product is designed for household use only. It is not suitable for commercial use.
5. In the event of improper use or wrong operation, we do not accept any liability for resulting damages.
6. The use of accessories and components not expressly recommended by the manufacturer may result in injuries or damages and voids the warranty.
7. Never leave the product unsupervised while it is switched on.
8. Do not place heavy objects on top of the product.
9. Never immerse electrical parts of the product in water during cleaning or operation. Never hold the product under running water.
10. The mains voltage must match the information on the rating label of the product.
11. The power plug is used as the disconnect product. Please be sure that the power plug is in operable condition.
12. Only removing the power plug can separate the product completely from the mains supply.
13. Avoid damages to the power cord that may be caused by kinks or contact with sharp corners.
14. Make sure, the product, including power cord and power plug are not exposed to hot surfaces.

15. Only unplug from the power outlet by the plug itself. Do not pull on the cord.

16. Disconnect the power plug when the product is not in use, in case of malfunctions, prior to attaching accessories and prior to each cleaning.

17. If the power cord or the casing of the product is damaged or if the product has been dropped, the product may not be used before it is examined by a professional electrician.
18. Use this product in dry indoor areas only and never outdoors.
19. If the product falls into water, disconnect the power plug from the power outlet immediately. For servicing and repairs, please consult and return the product to an authorised service agent.
20. When placing the product out of your hand during use, always switch it off for safety reasons and place it on it's stand on the table.
21. Never use sprays or water misters near the product while it is in use.
22. Danger of burns! Some components of the product may be very hot during operation. Therefore, touch the product only on the handle.
23. Even when leaving the room briefly, always pull the plug and place the product in its stand on a table.
24. Important! Check to ensure that the product is in a serviceable condition before use. The product shall not be used if it shows any signs of damage or if it's suspected to be defect.

Intended use

This product is only suitable for hair styling. Any other use can lead to damage to the appliance or injuries.

Before first use

Remove the product and accessories carefully from the original packaging. It is recommended to keep the original packaging for storage. If you wish to dispose of the original packaging, please observe applicable legal provisions. Should you have any questions regarding proper disposal, contact your local waste management center. Inspect the delivery contents for completeness and damages. Should the delivery contents be incomplete or damaged, contact your sales outlet immediately. After unpacking, please refer to chapter Cleaning and care.

Curls styling

Divide the hair before styling. Smoothen out the underlying strands first.

1 Plug the mains plug into a wall socket.
2 Press the on/off switch to turn on the product.

3 Set a temperature.

Hair type Temperature level
Fine, dyed or bleached	120°C - 140°C
Normal 160°C - 180°C
Thick or strong 180°C - 200°C

4 The set temperature is shown in the display.
When heating up, the temperature display will flash and appear solid when the preset temperature has been reached.
Do not proceed with the steps below until the preset temperature has been reached.
5 Press down the lever and place a strand of hair between the curling iron and clamp clip.

Note:

• Thinner streak for smaller curls
  • Larger streak for broader waves

6 Now, rotate the curling iron in order to wrap the hair around the rod. Wait for about 10 seconds, until the lock has formed.
7 Again unwind the strands of hair from the curling iron and open the clip. Allow the hair to cool before styling.
8 Turn off the product after use.

Auto-switch off

For safety reason, the product will switch off automatically after 30 minutes.

Cleaning and care

Note: Never use solvents or abrasive cleaning agents, metal, or pointy objects for cleaning.

9 Disconnect the power plug and allow the device to cool off prior to cleaning.
10 Clean the exterior surfaces of the product with a small brush or dry cloth.
Caution: Never submerge the device in water or any other liquid while cleaning.
