SOMMAIRE

• Read these instructions thoroughly before using the device. Keep this instruction manual for future reference or new users.
• Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified on the device rating label and that the plug is earthed.
• This device is designed for domestic

use only and is not intended for bars, restaurants, farmhouses, hotels, motels, and offices.

- If the device is to be used in a bathroom, it must be unplugged from the wall socket after use, as the proximity to water could be a risk even with the device switched off.

- As additional protection, it is recommended that a Residual Current

Device (RCD) having a rated operating fault current not exceeding 30 mA be installed in the electrical circuit supplying the bathroom. We recommend you ask a qualified installer for advice.

- This appliance can be used by children aged 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given

supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children must not play with the device. Cleaning and user maintenance should not be carried out by unsupervised children.

- This icon means that the device must not be used in a bathtub, shower, or any other water-filled tank.

- WARNING: do not use the device near bathtubs, showers, sinks, or other water-filled containers.

- Do not immerse the cable, plug, or any other non-removable part of the device in water or any other liquid or expose electrical connections to water. Make sure your hands are dry before handling the plug or switching on the device.

- Check the power cable regularly for

visible damage. If the cable is damaged, it must be replaced by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service to avoid any danger.

• Ensure that the air inlets and outlets are not blocked.
• Turn off and unplug the device from the power supply immediately after use.
• Immediately unplug the appliance from the socket in these cases:

o Abnormal operation.
o Cleaning.
o After use.

- Do not insert metal objects through the air inlets to avoid electric shocks.

- Do not wind the cable around the device.

- Keep your face, neck, and scalp away from the device.

- Do not leave the device on any surface while in operation.

- Do not use the device to comb wigs, natural hair extensions, fake hair, or animal hair.

2. BEFORE USE

• This device is packaged in a way as to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
• Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or in bad conditions, contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately.

Note

A slight odour and smoke might appear when heating the device for the first time. This is completely normal and it will stop after using the device.

3. OPERATION

1. Wash and condition your hair.
2. Dry your hair with a towel and comb it.
3. Ensure that the mains voltage matches the voltage specified

on the appliance rating label and that the plug is earthed. Plug the appliance to a power supply.

1. Align the desired head with the grooves of the straightening brush, insert it and turn it to the locked position. You will hear a click when it is correctly into place.
2. Use the power selector to choose the desired setting. 0 is the off position.
3. Divide the hair into manageable sections (about 4 cm). We recommend that you start with the bottom layer of your hair, from roots to ends, especially if you use the straightening head.
4. To remove the attachment, press the release button, with the

other hand rotate the attachment to the unlocked position and gently pull it out.

1. Unplug the device from the socket when not in use.

After use

1. Turn the appliance off and unplug it.
2. Place it on a heat-resistant surface until it cools down.
3. Remove the hair and dust from the appliance and attachments.
4. Clean the appliance with a soft cloth and store it in a dry place.

4. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

• Unplug the appliance from the power supply and allow it to cool down before cleaning.
• Use a soft, damp cloth to clean the surface of the device. Use a soft brush or a cotton swab to clean the air inlet.
• Do not immerse the device in water or other liquids.
• Do not use abrasive cleaners or scouring pads to clean the device.
• Do not twist, bend, pull, or damage the power cable.
• Clean the dirt and hairs that may be clogging the device.

Error Possible causes
It does not work properly.	Check if the appliance is correctly plugged in.Check if the attachment is correctly fitted.Turn the power selector to the off position, unplug the appliance from the mains and allow it to cool down properly.Before turning it back on, make sure that nothing is clogging the air inlet.
