CHOPPING GUIDE

| Bread or crumbs | Use day-old bread for dry crumbs, fresh bread for moist crumbs. Cut or tear into small chunks. Add a small amount of butter per slice and chop until desired. |
| Cheese - hard (Parmesan, Asiago, Romano, etc.) | Cut into small half-inch pieces and remove 30 minutes before processing. |
| Cheese - soft (cream cheese, etc.) | Best at room temperature. Cut into 1-2 inch pieces. |
| Spices | Process spices about 1/4 cup at a time. If using cinnamon sticks, break up into 1 inch pieces. Hard spices may cause scratches on the work bowl and cover. |
| Garlic | Peel garlic cloves first. |
| Meats Uncooked meats should be cold, not frozen. Cut into 1/2 inch pieces. Trim away fat. Cooked meats can be cold or warm. Add liquid (water, broth or from cooking) as needed to process puree consistency. | |
| Nuts Toast nuts first for full extraction of flavor. Cool before chopping. Process up to 1/2 cup at a time. | |
| Onions Peel and cut into small, 3/4 inch or smaller pieces. | |
| Peppers Core, seed and cut into 1/2 inch pieces. Do not over chop. | |

HELPFUL TIPS
ANEVER leave the appliance unattended while operating.
- Always cut large pieces of food into smaller pieces of even size - about a half inch.
- Do not overload the work bowl. Overloading will result in inconsistent results and strains the motor.
- You can add liquids such as water, oil, or flavoring. Make sure to unplug the unit before doing so.
- Occasionally food will stick to the sides of the bowl when chopping. Stop the machine to clear food away. MAKE SURE UNIT IS UNPLUGGED and blade is not moving before doing so.
CLEANING & MAINTENANCE
Please take care of your FOOD CHOPPER by following these simple instructions.
- Always disconnect the appliance from the power outlet before cleaning.
- Wash the bowl and blade assembly immediately after use (hand wash only) and dry off with a cloth. Do not soak in water.
- Never put the appliance in a dishwasher.
TROUBLESHOOTING
Motor doesn't start or blade doesn't rotate:
- Check that the plug is securely inserted into outlet.
- Check that work bowl and cover are securely locked into place.
- Make sure to press the pulse button firmly.
Food is unevenly chopped:
- Try cutting food into smaller, even-sized pieces.
- Try processing smaller amounts of food per batch.
Food is chopped too fine or watery:
- Food has been overprocessed. Use brief pulses, or process for a shorter time. Let blade stop completely between pulses.
Food collects on work bowl cover or sides of prep bowl:
- This is normal - turn off and when blade stops moving, clean the bowl with a spatula or other utensil. Plug back in when cleared.
