How to reverse the door opening direction?

It is recommended to entrust this operation to the after-sales service. If you do it yourself, first unplug the appliance, lay it carefully on its back with a cushion, then follow the number order in Figure 1 of the manual.

What minimum distance should be maintained from heat sources?

At least 3 cm from electric or gas cookers, and 30 cm from oil or coal heating appliances.

How to install two appliances side by side?

Place the refrigerator to the left of the freezer. The refrigerator slightly heats its right side wall, which prevents condensation between the appliances.

Where to stick the wall spacers?

Degrease the locations on the right side of the refrigerator with gasoline or alcohol, then stick the spacers to the four corners, each 5 cm from the lateral edges.

How to adjust the appliance to make it level?

Use the two screw feet at the front of the appliance. Use a fork wrench SW 22 to adjust them, and check with a spirit level.

Can the appliance be laid on its back to reverse the door?

Yes, but place a cushioning material under the appliance to avoid damaging the back. Caution: if the appliance is laid down, do not install the side wall spacer.

How to clean the appliance?

Use a soft cloth and soapy water. Avoid abrasive products, solvents, or rough sponges. Dry thoroughly after cleaning.

Where to find spare parts?

Contact BOSCH after-sales service. You can also purchase a joining kit for side-by-side installation from your dealer.

What door opening angle is required?

The appliance must be installed so as to guarantee a door opening angle of at least 90°.

Is the freezer independent?

It is part of the combined fridge-freezer. Both compartments are integrated into the same freestanding appliance.

Using the installation instructions

Installation location

A dry, well ventilated room is suitable as an installation location. The installation location should not be exposed to direct sunlight and not placed near a heat source, e.g. a cooker, radiator, etc. If installation next to a heat source is unavoidable, use a suitable insulating plate or observe the following minimum distances from the heat source:

■ 3 cm to electric or gas cookers.
■ 30 cm to an oil or coal-fired cooker.

The floor of the installation location must not give way; if required, reinforce floor. If the floor is uneven, compensate with supports.

When installing the appliance, ensure that the door can be opened by 90^ .

When installing two appliances, ensure that the refrigerator is on the left and the freezer is on the right.

The right side panel of the refrigerator is heated slightly. This prevents condensation from forming between the appliances.

1. On the right side of the refrigerator degrease the adhesive areas with petroleum ether or spirit.
2. Stick spacers in all four corners at a distance of 5 cm from the side edges to ensure a minimum gap between the appliances.

Changing over the door hinges

(if required)

We recommend that you have the door hinges changed over by our customer service. You can find out the costs for changing over the door hinges from your appropriate customer service.

Warning

While changing over the door hinges, ensure that the appliance is not connected to the power supply. Pull out the mains plug beforehand. To prevent damaging the back of the appliance, place adequate padding underneath. Carefully place the appliance on its back.

If the appliance is placed on its back, ensure that the wall spacer is not fitted.

If available:

Fit wall spacers to obtain the indicated energy absorption of the appliance. A reduced wall gap will not restrict the function of the appliance. The energy absorption may then change slightly.

Aligning the appliance

Place the appliance in the designated location and align. The appliance must be level. If the floor is uneven, use the front height-adjustable feet. Adjust the height-adjustable feet with a wrench.

Note

The appliance must be upright. Please align it with a spirit level.
