How to install the C2G54265 USB extender?

Connect the transmitter to the PC via the USB HOST port, then connect the transmitter to the receiver with a CAT6a cable (max 100 m). Plug USB peripherals into the receiver ports. Power both units with the supplied 24V adapter. No driver is required.

What is the maximum supported distance?

The maximum distance is 100 meters (328 feet) with a good quality CAT6a cable.

Is this extender compatible with USB 2.0?

A blinking LINK LED indicates a poor connection between the transmitter and receiver. Check the CAT6a cable and its connectors. If the LED is off, the units are not connected or there is no power.

How to use the RS-232 pass-through function?

Connect a serial cable to the Phoenix 3-pin connector on the rear panels. RS-232 data is transmitted between the transmitter and receiver (default baud rate 38400). No configuration required.

What cables are recommended for a distance of 100 m?

Use a good quality CAT6a or higher (CAT7) cable with properly crimped RJ45 connectors. Avoid CAT5e cables beyond 50 m.

Is the power supply included?

Yes, a 24V / 1.5A power adapter is included in the pack. It powers the transmitter. The receiver can be powered by the same adapter or by the bidirectional 24V PoC via the CAT6a cable.

What if USB peripherals are not recognized?
