Before Initial Use

I. Wipe the device with a clean, damp cloth. Clean the permanent filter (16), the filter insert (17) and the to-go coffee cup (13) with detergent and warm water or in the dishwasher.
2. Set up the device and connect it (see the "Setting Up and Connecting the Device" chapter).
3. Before you enjoy your first coffee, we recommend that you carry out a trial run with coffee beans to remove any possible production residues in the water system and in the grinder. To do this, follow the instructions in the “Handling and Operation” and “Preparation” chapters.

BEEM Thermo Go - Before Initial Use - 1

When the device is first used, production-related additives may cause a small amount of smoke and / or an odour to be produced. This is normal and not a device defect.

  1. Repeat this process twice. Do not drink this coffee!

  2. Clean the device and accessories (see the "Cleaning and Care" chapter).

Setting Up and Connecting the Device

PLEASE NOTE!

- Only connect the device to a plug socket that is properly installed and matches the technical data of the device. The plug socket must also be readily accessible after connection so that the connection to the mains can quickly be isolated.

- Lay the connecting cable in such a way that it does not become squashed or bent and does not come into contact with hot surfaces (also applies to the hot surfaces of the device!).

- Do not use the device in conjunction with extension cables.

• Always set up the device with a clear space at the sides (at least 20 cm) and clear space above it (at least 30 cm) on a flat, solid and heat-resistant surface that is resistant to splashing.

- Do not place the device below kitchen wall units or similar cupboards. The rising steam could cause damage to them!

I. Place the device on the kitchen unit or another dry, clean work surface, following the safety notices and the notices provided at the beginning of this chapter.

  1. Fully unwind the connecting cable and insert the mains plug into a properly installed socket that is easily accessible.

BEEM Thermo Go - Filling the Water Tank - 1

The fill-level indicator is specified in oz (ounces):

$$ 8 \mathrm{oz} = \text { approx. } 2 4 0 \mathrm{ml} (\text { minimum fill level }) $$

$$ 1 0 \mathrm{oz} = \text { a p p r o x . } 3 0 0 \mathrm{ml} $$

$$ 1 4 \mathrm{oz} = \text { approx. } 4 2 0 \mathrm{ml} (\text { maximum fill level }) $$

  1. Close the lid.

Inserting the Filter

I. Open the lid (I).
2. If you have not already done so, insert the filter insert (17) into the filter compartment (2). When you do this, make sure that the handle fits in the recess which is provided for it in the filter compartment (Picture E).
3. Insert the permanent filter (16) into the filter insert.
4. Close the lid.

Preparation

PLEASE NOTE!

  • Do not operate the device without water or with less water than is required to reach the 8 oz mark (approx. 240 ml). If this does happen, the device switches off automatically. In this case, allow the device to cool down before water is poured in and the device is used again.
  • Never operate the device without a suitable vessel placed below the coffee outlet.

BEEM Thermo Go - PLEASE NOTE! - 1

The filled to-go coffee cup (13) must not be transported in a bag or similar carrier as it cannot be sealed so that it will not drip.

I. Fill the water tank (14) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Filling the Water Tank”).
2. Insert the filter insert (17) and the permanent filter (16) (see the “Handling and Operation” chapter – “Inserting the Filter”).
3. Pour the amount of coffee powder you want into the permanent filter using a suitable spoon. We recommend one heaped coffee measuring spoon (not supplied with the device) per 125 ml. Do not overfill the permanent filter!
4. Place the to-go coffee cup under the coffee outlet (3). Make sure that the cup lid (15) is open or not on the cup. Otherwise the coffee cannot run into the to-go coffee cup.

BEEM Thermo Go - The filled to-go coffee cup (13) must not be transported in a bag or similar carrier as it cannot be sealed so that it will not drip. - 1

You can also use any other vessel as long as it can hold at least 240 ml and fits under the coffee outlet.

  1. Press the ON / OFF button (6) to start the brewing process. The 🎨 and ON symbols appear on the display (10). The red operating lamp (8) flashes during the brewing process. The water is transported from the water tank through the permanent filter into the to-go coffee cup and kept warm inside it.

After the end of the brewing process, the two symbols on the display and the red operating lamp go out. The device automatically switches to stand-by mode.

BEEM Thermo Go - The filled to-go coffee cup (13) must not be transported in a bag or similar carrier as it cannot be sealed so that it will not drip. - 2

Making Coffee with a Preset Time

I. Prepare the coffee machine, pour in water, insert the permanent filter (16), pour in coffee powder (see the previous chapter) and place the to-go coffee cup (13) or another suitable vessel under the coffee outlet (3).
2. Press the PRO button (12). The timer time set most recently (presetting 12:00) and the PROGRAM symbol appears on the display (10).

  1. Use the HOUR (II) and MIN (7) buttons to set the start time you want (see the "Handling and Operation" chapter – "Time").
  2. If no other button is pressed for around 3 seconds, the preset time is activated and the PROGRAM symbol goes out and the AUTO symbol appears on the display. In addition, the green operating lamp (9) lights up.

Once the preset time is reached, the device switches on automatically. On the display the

AUTO symbol goes out and the 📋 and ON symbols appear. The green operating lamp goes out and the red operating lamp (8) flashes.

Deactivating the Preset Time

To deactivate the preset time which is set again, hold down the PRO button (12) for approx. 5 seconds until the AUTO symbol goes out on the display. The green operating lamp (9) goes out and the programming is deactivated. However, the preset time is saved until a new time is programmed in or the device has been disconnected from the power supply.

The previously set time can be reactivated by pressing the PRO button.

Cleaning and Care

PLEASE NOTE!

- Do not use any toxic, corrosive or abrasive cleaning agents or scouring sponges to clean the device. These can damage the surface.

I. Clean the permanent filter (16), the filter insert (17) and the to-go coffee cup (13, 15) after every use with mild detergent and warm water or in the dishwasher.
2. Wipe out and wipe down the housing with a damp cloth. If necessary, use a little detergent to remove more intense soiling.
3. Check the connecting cable regularly for any damage.

Descaling

Limescale deposits have an adverse effect not only on the quality of the coffee, but they also cause power losses and shorten the lifespan of the device. The thicker a limescale layer is, the more difficult it is to remove.

We therefore recommend regularly removing limescale deposits with a descaling agent in accordance with the water quality in your area and how often the device is used (approx. every 2 – 6 weeks). The first indications that descaling is required are a large amount of steam being produced and slower brewing of the coffee.

Storage

Disconnect the device from the mains power when it is not going to be used for a prolonged period. Clean the device again if necessary (see the “Cleaning and Care” chapter) and let it dry completely.

Store the device and all accessories in a dry, clean, frost-free place that is protected from direct sunlight and cannot be accessed by children or animals.
