How to start the drying and disinfection cycle?

Plug in the adapter, open the lid, place the hearing aids without batteries, close the lid, then press the power button. The 4-hour cycle starts automatically.

Do I need to remove the batteries before placing the devices in the station?

Yes, you must remove the batteries before the drying and disinfection process. Never leave batteries in the chamber.

What happens if I open the lid during the cycle?

The cycle is interrupted. The LED will flash. To resume, close the lid and restart the device by pressing the power button again.

How long does a complete cycle last?

The complete cycle lasts 4 hours: 6 minutes of UV disinfection, 3 hours 48 minutes of drying, then 6 minutes of final disinfection before automatic shut-off.

Can I use the station without the supplied adapter?

No, use only the original mains adapter (SW0501000-F01/F02) to avoid any damage.

How to clean the drying station?

Clean the outer surfaces with a soft, lint-free cloth. Do not use any cleaning product or solvent.

Is it dangerous to look at the UV lamps?

Yes, never look directly at the UV lamps located in the drying chamber, as they can cause eye damage.

Does the station work with all hearing aids?

Yes, it is suitable for most hearing aids, provided they are standard size and compatible with a drying chamber. Always remove the batteries beforehand.

What to do if the station does not turn on?

Check that the adapter is properly plugged into the mains and the back of the station. If the problem persists, contact customer service via www.amplicomms.com.

What is the warranty of the DB 130 station?

The warranty is 2 years from the date of purchase, excluding rechargeable batteries. In case of defect, contact your retailer with the receipt.

Do not look directly at the two UV lights located in the drying compartment.

2 Drying Cycle

1. Insert the USB-cable into the 5V power supply and the Micro USB connector into the jack on the rear side of your drying station. Then plug the power supply into a power socket.
2. Press and hold the POWER button to wake up the unit and start disinfection and drying process.
3. Open the lid of your unit.
4. Place the hearing instrument on the tray inside your drying station (Note – instrument have to be clean from any debris).
5. Close the lid. NOTE: The full Disinfection and Drying circle is 4 hours.
6. After completion of the process open the lid.
7. Remove the dried and hygienically cleaned instrument.

Important:

- Batteries must be removed from your instrument before the Disinfection and Drying Process begins. (It is prohibited to place batteries in the Drying Compartment.)

- The Disinfection and Drying Process will be pause when you open the lid. The Power logo light and Blue ring LED will be blinks. To restart the process please restart the unit.

• After 4 hours, the unit will turn off automatically and all the LED light will switch off.

2.1 Disinfection and Drying Process:

During the first 6 minutes of the 4 hours circle the UV lamp and Power Logo will be lit, and the blue LED ring will blink.

2.2 Drying Process:

In the next 3 hours and 48 minutes the UV lamp and Power logo light will off and the blue LED ring will be on solid.

2.3 Disinfection Process:

In the last 6 minutes of the 4 hour circle the UV lamp will on again, the Power logo light will be lit and the Blue LED ring will blink.

• Please make sure you read this user guide carefully and keep it for further use.
• Only use the power adapter plug supplied as other power supplies could damage the appliance.
• Ensure access to the power adapter plug is free from obstructions.
• To reduce the risk of injury, close supervision is necessary when an appliance is used near children.
• Do not look directly at the two UV lights located in the drying compartment.
• Do not use outdoors. Do not use near water.
• To disconnect, turn all controls to the off position, then remove plug from outlet.
• Unplug from outlet when not in use and before servicing or cleaning.
• Do not unplug by pulling on cord. To unplug, grasp the plug, not the cord.
• Do not operate any appliance with a damaged cord or plug, or after the appliance malfunctions or is dropped or damaged in any manner. Return appliance to the nearest authorized service facility for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment.

The included mains adapter meets the eco-design requirements of the European Union (Directive 2009/125/EC). Thus, its power consumption is considerably lower, both in operated as well as in non-operated mode, compared with the mains adapter of previous design.

Disposal

You are obliged to dispose of consumable goods properly in accordance with the applicable legal regulations. The symbol on this product indicates that electrical and electronic apparatus and batteries must be disposed of separately from domestic waste at suitable collection points provided by the public waste authorities. Batteries can also often be disposed of at the point of sale. Packaging materials must be disposed of according to local regulations.

Maintenance

• Please clean your equipment's surfaces with a soft, fluff-free cloth.
• Never use cleaning agents or solvents.

Guarantee

This equipment is produced and tested according to the latest production methods. The implementation of carefully chosen materials and highly developed technologies ensure trouble free functioning and a long service life.

The terms of the guarantee do not apply to the rechargeable batteries or power packs used in the products. The period of guarantee is 24 months from the date of purchase.

All deficiencies resulting from material of production faults which occur during the period of guarantee will be eliminated free of charge. Rights to claims under the terms of guarantee are annulled following intervention by the purchaser or third parties. Damage caused as a result of improper handling or operation, incorrect positioning or storing, improper connection or installation, Acts of God or other external influence are not covered by the terms of guarantee.

In the case of complaints, we reserve the right to repair or replace defect parts or provide a replacement device. Replacement parts or devices become our property. Rights to compensation in the case of damage are excluded where there is no evidence or intent or gross negligence by the manufacturer.
