This appliance has a two year warranty period. During this period the manufacturer is responsible for any failures that are the direct result of construction failure. When these failures occur the appliance will be repaired or replaced if necessary. The warranty will not be valid when the damage to the appliance is caused by wrong use, not following the instructions or repairs executed by a third party. The guarantee is issued with the original till receipt. All parts, which are subject to wear, are excluded from the warranty. If your device breaks down within the 2-year warranty period, you can return the device together with your receipt to the shop where you purchased it.

The guarantee on accessories and components that are liable to wear-and-tear is only 6 months.

The guarantee and responsibility of the supplier and manufacturer lapse automatically in the following cases:

  • If the instructions in this manual have not been followed.
    · In case of incorrect connection, e.g. electrical voltage that is too high.
    · In case of incorrect, rough or abnormal use.
    · In case of insufficient or incorrect maintenance.
    In case of repairs or alterations to the device by the consumer or non-authorised third parties.
  • If the customer used parts or accessories that are not recommended or provided by the supplier / manufacturer.

SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS

When using electrical appliances, basic safety precautions should always be taken, including the following:

  • Read all instructions carefully. Keep this manual for future reference.
  • Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time. Make sure children cannot play with the packaging materials.

- This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as:

· staff kitchen areas in shops, offices and other working environments;

· farm houses;
- by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments;
- bed and breakfast type environments.

- Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.

- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children younger than 16 years.

- All repairs should be carried out by the manufacturer or its aftersales service.

- Using the appliance incorrectly may cause an injury. Any injury or damage caused by failure to comply with these rules are at your own risk. Neither the manufacturer, importer, or the supplier may be held liable.

▲ELECTRICAL WARNINGS

- In order to avoid a hazard this appliance must not be supplied through an external switching device, such as a timer or a separate remote control, or connected to a circuit that is regularly switched on and off by the utility.

- The appliance must be disconnected from its power source when not in use, during service and when replacing parts. Allow to cool before putting on or taking off parts, and before cleaning the appliance. To disconnect, turn controls to “OFF” or “o” position, then remove the plug from the wall. Never pull the cord or appliance to remove the plug from the socket.

- Before use, check carefully that the electric tension and frequency of the power net at your home match the indications on the rating label of the appliance.

- The appliance must be plugged into an appropriate outlet that is installed and grounded in accordance with local installation regulations.

  • Do not let the power supply cord hang over the edge of a counter, or touch hot surfaces.
  • Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don't cover the appliance.
  • Unwrap the cord completely to prevent overheating of the cord. Do not allow the power cord supply to run underneath or around the unit.
  • To avoid danger, do not operate this appliance with a damaged cord or plug or in the event the appliance malfunctions or has been damaged in any manner. Return the appliance to the DOMO Service Department or its service agent for examination, repair, or electrical or mechanical adjustment. Do not try to repair the appliance yourself.

· Do not place near flammable materials, gases or explosives.
· Do not use or store this appliance outdoors.
· Always use the appliance on a steady, dry and level surface.
- Never place this appliance near a gas stove or electrical stove or in a place where it may come into contact with a warm appliance.

· Do not use this appliance for other than intended use.
- Only use the appliance for domestic use. The manufacturer cannot be held responsible for accidents that result from improper use of the appliance or not following the instructions described in this manual.
· Never leave the appliance unattended while it is functioning.
· Do not operate the appliance with wet hands.
- The use of accessories that are not recommended or sold by the manufacturer can cause fire, electrical shock or injuries.
Only use the utensils delivered with the appliance.

  • To protect against electrical shock or burns, do not immerse unit, cord, or plug in water or other liquid.
  • Failure to maintain this appliance in a clean condition could adversely affect the life of the appliance and possibly result in a hazardous situation.

The appliance can become hot during use. Keep the power cord away from hot parts and don't cover the appliance.

  • Never place the device on metal or a flammable surface (e.g. table cloth, carpet, etc.).
  • Do not block the ventilation slots of the device. This may overheat the device. Keep a min. distance of 10 cm (2.5 inches) to walls or other items.
  • Do not place the induction hotplate next to devices or objects, which react sensitively to magnetic fields (e.g. radios, TVs, cassette recorders, etc.).
  • Do not place induction hotplates next to open fires, heaters or other sources of heat.
  • Make sure that the mains connection cable is not damaged or squashed beneath the device.
  • Make sure that the mains connection cable does not come into contact with sharp edges and/or hot surfaces.
  • If the surface is cracked, switch off the appliance to avoid the possibility of electric shock.
  • Metallic objects such as knives, forks, spoons and lids should not be placed on the hotplate since they can get hot.
  • Do not place any magnetic objects like credit cards, cassettes etc. on the glass surface while the device is in operation.
  • On order to avoid overheating, do not place any aluminium foil or metal plates on the device.
  • Do not insert any objects like wires or tools into the ventilation slots. Attention: this may cause electric shocks.
  • Do not touch the hot surface of the plate. Please note: the induction hotplate does not heat up itself during cooking, but the temperature of the cookware heats up the hotplate!
  • Do not heat up any unopened tins on the induction hotplate. A heated tin could explode; therefore remove the lid under all circumstances beforehand.
  • Scientific tests have proven that induction hotplates do not pose a risk. However, persons with a pacemaker should keep a minimum distance of 60 cm to the device while it is in operation.

  • Never heat empty pots or pans. Empty containers may become damaged or deformed.

  • Make sure the appliance has cooled down before cleaning and storing it.
  • Don't move the hot plate when it is still hot or when there are pots on the plate.
  • Don't place the hot plate near flammable materials, such as curtains, to prevent fire.
  • Immediately unplug the appliance if a crack appears and make sure it is controlled by a qualified competent electrician.
    · Never put the appliance in the dishwasher.

BEFORE THE FIRST USE

- Make sure all packaging materials and promotional stickers have been removed before using the appliance for the first time.

· Always use the appliance on a steady, dry and level surface.

- Use pots and pans that are suited for induction hobs. These come with the following symbol: you can easily test them yourself. The bottom of your pots and pans must be magnetic. Take a magnet and place it on the bottom of your pot or pan, if it sticks the bottom is magnetic and the pot is suited for ceramic cooking plates.

· The diameter of your pot or pan must be at least 10 cm, but no larger than 22 cm.

• Always use a pot or pan with a flat bottom, to have a good contact with the hot plate. If the bottom is hollow or convex, the heat distribution will not be optimal.

USE

  1. When operating the device, please put on a pan/pot firstly. Always place the pot or pan in the centre of the hotplate.

⚠️ Never heat empty pots or pans. Empty containers may become damaged or deformed.

  1. Make sure the rotary knob is turned to position "MIN". Plug in the appliance. If the rotary knob was not at "MIN" when the unit was switched on, it will not work. Still, turn the knob to "MIN" first before selecting the desired temperature setting.

⚠️ Make sure there are no foreign objects such as water or food on the hot plate, before turning it on.

  1. Turn the rotary knob to the desired position. The hot plate has 8 different temperature settings.

· MIN: off mode
- Use the low settings (1 - 4) for reheating or simmering.
- The temperature settings 5 to 8 can be used for cooking.

  1. You hear a signal with every turn of the knob. The indicator lamp for the selected setting will light up.
  2. Turn the rotary knob to position "MIN" after use.
  3. After use, the hot plate will remain hot for some time. The ventilation stays on for a while to cool down. Do not unplug the appliance before it has cooled down completely.

⚠️ The appliance will sound several times if the (correct) pot is not on the hob and will then automatically switch off after one minute.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

· Before cleaning the appliance always remove the plug from the socket.
- Never immerse the appliance in water.

  • You can clean the surface of your hot plate with a damp soft cloth. If necessary, use a neutral hob cleaner. Dry the device afterwards.
  • Don't use any abrasive cleaners.
  • We recommend to remove spilled food with a damp cloth, when the hot plate is still warm, but not hot. Be very careful during cleaning not to burn yourself.

Contact the shop of purchase or an authorised service centre.· The heat sensor is broken or overheated. Make sure that the ventilation openings at the bottom are not covered. Ensure adequate circulation around the appliance. If the problem still occurs, contact the shop of purchase or an authorised service centre.
