This appliance is only intended and suitable for slicing small amounts of food items. The food items must be boneless, unpacked and unfrozen. All other use or modification of the appliance is not intended by the manufacturer and might entail a risk of damage or injury.

General Safety Instructions
- Manufacturer takes no responsibility for any damage caused by incorrect use.
- Incorrect or improper use can damage the appliance and cause injuries to the user.
- Before connecting this appliance to the mains, make sure your local voltage matches the technical data of the appliance. Otherwise the appliance may overheat and get damaged.

Caution! Danger of electric shock!
- Never put the appliance, cord or plug into water or any other liquid.
- Do not use the appliance near a sink or wash basin.
- Do not use the appliance with wet hands.
- Do not use the appliance outdoors.
An electric appliance is not a toy!
• Never leave the appliance unattended during use.
- This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
- Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
- Always unplug your appliance when it is not in use, and before cleaning.
• Always pull the plug – not the cord.
- Keep the appliance and the cord well away from any hot surfaces to avoid any damage to the appliance.
- Make sure the cord may not inadvertently be pulled cause anyone to trip when in use. Do not allow the cord to hang over sharp edges.
- Do not bend the cord or wind it round the appliance.
Do not use the appliance,
• if the cord is damaged.
• in case of malfunction.
- if the appliance was dropped or is damaged otherwise.
Have it checked and, if necessary, repaired by a qualified person/Customer Service. Never attempt to make any modifications to or repair the appliance yourself.
- Only use accessories evaluated for use with this appliance.
- Never attempt to drive any objects into the appliance.
• Never attempt to open the housing yourself!
- The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
Special Safety Instructions

Warning! To avoid the possibility of injury/damage to the appliance and electric shock!
- Only use the appliance for its intended purpose (slicing small amounts of foods) and as described in this manual. Do not cut any other items as this might cause injury to the user and damage to the appliance.
- Never process any hard foods, e.g. frozen foods, foods with bones, etc.
- Place the appliance on an even and heat resistant surface.
- Never touch the rotating parts/blades/discs with your hands and/or other objects when using the appliance. This could lead to serious injuries and/or damage to the appliance.
• Careful, when cleaning the blade, it is very sharp. -
Only use the appliance with the food carriage and safety guard / food holder.

If the cutting disc should experience any problems during operation, switch off the appliance, disconnect it from the mains, activate blade protection and remove the blockage.
- Keep the appliance out of the reach of children.

Blade Protector
By keeping the thickness Indicator on “0” position, the blade is covered.
Speed Control Switch
1 - Low
For soft food items, e.g. cheese, best to be cut when slightly chilled.
2- Medium
3- High
For hard food items, e.g. salami, bread with a crunchy crust, etc.
Safety Guard (food holder)
Use the safety guard / food holder as often as poss especially when cutting hard food item, e.g. bread and sausage ends.
Before First Use
- Remove all packaging material and check whether the appliance and its accessories are complete and undamaged.
- Fully unwind the power cord (12).
- Clean the appliance / detachable parts as specified under "Cleaning and Care".

Do not use the appliance if it shows any signs of age!

Warning: Plastic bags are a danger to toddlers and es, therefore keep them away to avoid suffocation.
Operation

Only operate the appliance when all accessories properly attached. Do not process any frozen foods ods with bones!
Your food slicer can be used for accurate cutting of bread, cheese, meat vegetable and other foods.
- Place the appliance onto an even and heat resistant surface.
- Attach the 2 side parts (7) to the food carriage (7).
- Insert the assembled food carriage (7) properly into the guide slots of the supporting table (6).
- Select the slicing thickness (11), 0 – 15 mm, by turning the adjustment knob (10).
- Connect the power plug (12) to a properly installed wall socket.
- Place the food (bread, cheese, etc.) to be sliced onto the food carriage (7) and add the safety guard/food holder (8) to the end of the resp. food to be sliced.
- Choose the cutting speed 1-3 (1) depending on the foods that are to be cut.
- Push simultaneously the safety switch (2) and the on/off button (3). The slicing disc (4) starts rotating. During the slicing process, both buttons must be kept pushed.

Push the food carriage (7) forward and back over the slicing disc (4) in a continuous motion, using the safety guard/food holder (8).

After slicing the desired amount of foods, release the safety switch (2) and on/off button (3).

① Careful, after switching off the appliance, the slicing disc still rotates for a second. Risk of injury!
- Set the thickness indicator (11) to "0" and unplug (12) the appliance.

Always make sure to set the thickness indicator to "0" by turning the adjustment knob (10) into the resp. direction as this serves as a blade protector.

Never touch the rotating parts/slicing disc with your hands and/or other objects when using the appliance. This could lead to serious injuries.
Continuous Time

DO NOT operate the appliance longer than 5 minutes (CO-time) at a time. After a 5 minute use, the appliance should be allowed to cool down for approx. 30 minutes.
Removing / Attaching the cutting disc

The slicing disc is very sharp, when removing or ning wear protective gloves to avoid injury!
- Remove the slicing disc (4) by using a coin in order to turn the blade screw.

When removing the slicing disc make sure to hold it at centre
- Reattach the slicing disc (4) in reverse order.
Cleaning and Care
Due to hygienic reasons clean your appliance on a regular basis, best after each use, and remove any food residues. Not doing so could possibly result in a hazardous situation.

Before cleaning, always
- set the thickness indicator to "0" to activate the blade protector.
- disconnect it from the mains.-
- let it completely cool down and
- never immerse the appliance in water. Danger! Electric Shock!
Clean the appliance as soon as possible after use with a damp cloth and do not use any aggressive cleaning agents.
Clean the food carriage (7) and the safety guard /food holder (8) in warm water using some dishwashing detergent.
Remove the slicing disc and use a damp cloth to clean the blade and the back ring.

The slicing disc is extremely sharp. Therefore, resemble the unit after use. Risk of injury!
Remove any residual water with a dry cloth
Storage
After use, store the appliance in a clean and dry place and keep it out of the reach of children.
Disposal Instructions

Waste electrical devices marked with this sign must not be disposed of with your household waste, but are to be collected separately. Therefore, please return this device at the end of its life cycle to special on points for disposal or your local dealer.

Your Food Slicer 25500 is packed in a retail box.
Such boxes are recyclable waste, i.e. they are reusable or recyclable.
