- This footbike is an entertainment device. However, in some jurisdictions, it is allowed to be used on public roads. Make sure you comply with the local traffic rules when using the footbike in these situations, as it will be considered a vehicle. Ride in a civilised manner and pay attention to people and obstacles around you to prevent accidents.

- Remember that, if you follow the instructions and warnings in this manual, as well as the traffic rules in your area, you will reduce the risks, but you will not completely prevent them.

- Remember that the higher the speed, the greater the braking distance. Remember that hard braking can cause slips and falls.

- Keep a safe distance with other people and vehicles. Respect pedestrians and give them way whenever possible. When you come closer to a pedestrian, reduce the speed, and stay on the right side. Avoid frightening or surprising pedestrians. Overtake other vehicles on the left whenever possible (applicable to countries where vehicles drive on the right).

- Wear protective equipment, like a helmet and elbow/knee pads to avoid or reduce injuries in case of accidents or falls. You must use footwear.

- We recommend you practice with the footbike before riding it in public areas.

- Make sure both you and the people using the footbike read and understand these instructions completely. Do not allow anyone to use the footbike if they are not familiar with how it works.

- Avoid jumping over obstacles such as kerbs, steps,

or manholes with the footbike. Match the speed and trajectory to those of a pedestrian to cross these obstacles. It is recommended to get off the footbike when these obstacles become dangerous due to their height, shape, or slipperiness.

- Make sure the wheels are not damaged and all parts and components of the footbike are correctly installed before each use. If you notice any of the parts is loose, hear strange noises, or the footbike does not work correctly, stop using it immediately and contact the Cecotec official Technical Support Service.

- Do not use the footbike in a manner that could damage other objects or other people.

- It is not allowed to modify the footbike in any manner, as this could alter its performance or damage its structure and cause damage or injury. Do not use any accessories or parts not approved by the manufacturer. Do not modify or tamper with the footbike, including the steering tube and sleeve, power, folding mechanism, and/or braking system. Any unauthorised change will void the device warranty.

- To prevent the footbike from being damaged or causing an accident, do not use it under the rain.

- The footbike is not intended to be used by children from 0 to 14 years old. It can be used by children over the age of 16, as long as they are given continuous supervision. Check the current local regulations.

- This device can be used by children aged 16 and above, and persons with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge, as long as they have been given supervision or instruction concerning the use of the device in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Do not allow children to play with

the device.

- Supervise children to prevent them from playing with the device. Close supervision is necessary when the footbike is being used by or near children.

- Do not modify the braking system to avoid affecting the safety of the device.

- Make sure that the mains voltage matches the voltage stated on the device marking and that the wall outlet is earthed before charging the device.

- Check the charger cable and casing regularly for visible damage. Do not use the footbike if the charger cable, socket, or structure are damaged, do not work properly, or have fallen, and contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service immediately. If the power cable is damaged, it must be replaced with a special cable or set to be supplied by the official Cecotec Technical Support Service. The power cable is to be properly discarded.

- When you wish to disconnect the charger, pull from the plug, never the cable. Do not handle the plug or the footbike with wet hands.

- Remember that changing wheels is a complicated process, and it is advisable to let authorised personnel or the official Cecotec Technical Support Service take care of it. Damages caused by misuse will void the guarantee.

- Check wheel pressure before every use. Remember that a low pressure may reduce the battery life.

- Use this footbike only with the power supply provided and with original Cecotec batteries compatible with this model.

- WARNING: to recharge the battery, use only the power supply unit provided with the appliance, reference XHK-982-54620.

- Non-rechargeable batteries should not be recharged.

  • We recommend you charge the battery after every use and before it completely runs out of battery.
  • WARNING! Keep plastic packaging out of the reach of children to prevent suffocation.

Battery safety instructions

  • This footbike includes a lithium-ion battery.
  • Unplug the battery from the charger before riding the footbike and before folding or unfolding it.
  • Charge the battery at a room temperature between 0 °C and 35 °C so as to ensure efficient operation of the footbike.
  • Do not burn or expose batteries to high temperatures, as they may explode.
  • The battery may leak under extreme conditions. Do not touch any liquid that leaks from the battery. If the liquid gets into contact with skin, wash immediately with soap and water. If the liquid gets into the eyes, wash them immediately with clean water for a minimum of 10 minutes and seek medical attention. Wear gloves to handle the battery and dispose of it immediately in accordance with local regulations.
  • Avoid contact between the battery and small metallic objects such as paper clips, coins, keys, nails, or screws.
  • Never modify the charger in any way.
  • The battery must be removed from the device for safe disposal.
  • Battery ingestion can cause burns, perforation of soft tissue, and death. It can cause severe burns within two hours of the ingestion.
  • In case of battery ingestion, please seek medical help immediately.
  • The battery supply terminals must not be short-circuited.

  • If the device is stored for a long period of time, you should remove the battery.

  • The battery must be inserted in the correct position. When replacing batteries, check the polarity.

You must read and follow the safety instructions in this manual before riding the footbike. Use approved safety equipment such as helmets or knee pads. This device is intended for use as a personal mobility vehicle for the purpose of transporting a single person in a public or private place.

This footbike is not designed to be driven on motorways, highways, or intercity roads. Check the current legislation of your local authority on where footbikes are allowed to be ridden.

in high-stress areas that may indicate the component's service life has been exceeded and it needs to be replaced. Regular maintenance of the footbike and its components will extend its lifespan. Periodically check the tightness of the bolted parts, especially the wheel axles, the folding mechanism, the steering system, and the braking system.

  • Contact your vendor to be referred to an appropriate training organisation.
  • Avoid high traffic or overcrowded areas and anticipate your path and speed by respecting the traffic code and watching out for pedestrians on pavements.
  • Make sure pedestrians/cyclists are aware of your nearby presence upon approach when you are not seen and/or heard. Remember to cross protected areas on foot and in all situations take care of yourself and others. Remove any sharp edges that may have been caused by the use of the vehicle.
  • Use the vehicle only for its intended purpose. This vehicle is not designed for stunt use.

3. BEFORE USE

  • This device includes a packaging designed to protect it during transport. Take the device out of its box and remove all packaging materials. You can keep the original box and other packaging elements in a safe place. This will help you prevent damage to the device when transporting it in the future. In case the original packaging is disposed of, make sure all packaging materials are recycled accordingly.
  • Make sure all parts and components are included and in good conditions. If there is any piece missing or not in good condition, immediately contact the official Cecotec Technical Support Service.

4. ASSEMBLY

Footbike assembly

  1. Install the handlebar on the mast.
  2. Use the hex spanner included in the tool kit to tighten the screws.
  3. Front wheel mounting: place the wheel on the ground in an upright position and support the fork of the footbike on the axle of the wheel using the front post guides provided for this purpose. Make sure the wheel is centred and the brake system is aligned. First fit the washer and then tighten the nuts with the double ended open spanner on both sides of

the axle in the threaded surface.

Charging the footbike

  1. Turn off the footbike.
  2. Remove the protective cover and connect the charger to the charging port (on the bottom left side of the footbike).
  3. Refit the protective cover.

Brake adjustment

If you feel that the brake is too tight or too loose, first loosen the screw with the M4 hexagon socket spanner, then adjust the brake cable (pull the brake cable upwards if it is too tight and downwards if it is too loose) and tighten the screw. In case of mechanical brakes, follow the same method of adjustment.

Adjusting the handlebar

If the mast vibrates while driving, tighten the bolt with the hexagon socket spanner.

Inflating the tyres

If you notice that one or both tyres are underinflated, use an extendable inflator to inflate them. Unscrew the cap on the inflatable nozzle, connect the extendable inflator and inflate the tyres. For 07112_Trotón model the maximum tyre pressure is 2.2 bar or 32 psi. For 7113_Trotón Fat and 07114_Trotón Boing Fat models the maximum tyre pressure is 1.4 bar or 22 psi.

5. OPERATION

Driving

  1. Wear protective equipment while driving. Always wear shoes when using the footbike.
  2. Switch on the footbike and check the battery level. Charge it if necessary.
  3. Step on the deck with one foot and use the other one to propel yourself forward.
  4. Slightly press the accelerator (for the accelerator to work and the footbike to move, it has to reach a minimum speed of 3 km/h).
  5. Slowly release the accelerator to reduce speed and press the squeeze the brake lever in case of emergency braking.
  6. To turn, tilt the weight slightly to the desired side, and turn the handlebars slightly.

Control panel

  • Front lighting: with the footbike on, press and hold the "+" button to turn on the front light.
  • Mode selection: with the footbike on, press the "+" or "-" button to change the mode:
  • Pedestrian mode: in this mode, the footbike can reach 6 km/h.
  • Eco mode: in this mode, the footbike can reach 15 km/h.

  • Sport mode: in this mode, the footbike can reach 25 km/h.

  • Press and hold the "+" and "-" buttons at the same time for about 3 seconds to access the internal menu:

a. P01: to change from kilometres to miles.

b. P02: to activate/deactivate the cruise control.

Power icon

With the footbike on, press and hold the power button for 2-3 seconds to turn the appliance off.

Accelerator

- Cruise control is activated after holding the accelerator in the same position for 6 seconds. Once the cruise control is activated, the following "P" symbol will be displayed in the upper right-hand corner of the display.

- In Standby mode, if no operation is performed after three minutes, the footbike switches off automatically.

6. CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Cleaning and maintenance of the footbike

If there are any stains on the surface of the footbike, use a soft, damp cloth to clean it.

Tips

- Make sure the footbike is switched off before cleaning. Never use alcohol, petrol, paraffin, corrosive, or abrasive products to clean the footbike. Make sure the charger cable is disconnected from the footbike and the charging door cover is securely in place before cleaning to avoid electric shock or damage.

- When not in use, it is preferable to store the footbike in a dry place and away from direct sunlight; try not to store it outdoors. Exposure to sunlight, overheating and overcooling will accelerate the wear and tear of the footbike and wheels, and they will reduce battery life.

Battery maintenance

- Do not use batteries of other models or other brands in order not to compromise the safety of the product.

- Do not touch the battery contacts and do not modify or damage the battery. Avoid contact between the battery and metal objects to prevent battery damage or serious damage.

- Only use the original charger to avoid risk of damage or fire.

- Incorrect disposal of the battery can seriously pollute the environment. When disposing of the battery, strictly observe local regulations. Do not dispose of the battery before the

end of its life span to protect the environment.

  • Charge the battery after each use and before storing the footbike to extend its life span.
  • Do not expose the battery to temperatures above 45 °C or below -10 °C.
  • Disconnect the charger after charging is complete.
  • Removing the battery is complicated and may alter the operation of the footbike: you can contact an authorised repair entity if the warranty is still valid. If the warranty has expired, you can contact a specialist workshop of your choice. You can also contact the Cecotec Customer Service Department.

- For proper removal of the battery for subsequent recycling, you must:

  1. Remove the screws from the foot support area.

  2. Removing the protective cover of the battery.

  3. Disconnect the battery connector to the controller.

  4. Removing the battery.

  • When an error occurs, the speedometer shall display the error code.
