ADDITIONAL SAFETY GUIDELINES FOR THIS APPLIANCE

• This appliance is designed only for domestic use. It is not intended for commercial use.
• Do not open the appliance. Do not insert any objects into the openings!
• This product is not intended to be used by individuals (including children) with reduced physical, sensory, or mental capabilities or lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions on how to use the device from any such authorised person.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance!

nents that are not expressly recommended by the manufacturer may result in injuries or damage and in loss of warranty.

• Never immerse the appliance in water or other liquids during cleaning or operation. Never hold it under running water!
• Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself. Hand over the product for maintenance and repair to an authorised dealer or qualified customer service personnel.
• Use the appliance only in dry indoor areas!
• Never place the appliance near heat sources, such as a fireplace or a grill! Keep it away from fire.
• Avoid using in very humid climate or in a very dry surrounding!

• Do not expose the appliance to extreme heat and cold (under 5 °C) and to direct sunlight.

• The mains voltage has to match the specifications on the type plate.

• Ensure that the appliance and the mains plug are always easy to access and reach.
• Disconnect the mains plus in case of prolonged absence or severe thunderstorms in order to protect the electronics.
• Do not use the appliance if it has fallen down! Get it checked by a technician.
• Protect the housing from damage and do not open the product yourself. Never attempt to replace any parts or to repair the appliance by yourself.
• Connect the appliance only to a properly installed socket.
• CAUTION! Do not connect the timer in series!
• Do not use the appliance in combination with power strips or extension cords.
• The appliance is not suitable for inductive loads, such as electric motors.

3. Commissioning

Take the appliance out of the packaging and remove any packaging material and check if the contents of the package are complete and for any damage.

Set the desired on or off time by adjusting the switch on the side of the appliance to the corresponding time (30 minutes, 1 hour, 3 hours or 6 hours).

Then choose whether you want a switch-on time (count up) or a switch-off time (count down) using the switch on the back of the appliance. Now connect any desired device to the timer and plug it into a properly installed socket. There is a "On / Off" button at the top. Press this button to enable the corresponding switch on or switch off time. The power LED at the top of the appliance will flash when the timer is running.

The power LED at the top start glowing as soon as there is power in the output of the timer.

4. Cleaning and care

Before cleaning, disconnect all the connected devices and unplug the product from the socket. Clean the appliance with a soft dry cloth. Never use water for cleaning

Caution! Ensure that fluids do not get into the housing!

5. Safety instructions and liability disclaimer

Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components. Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.

6. Disposal instructions

Electrical and electronic devices may only be disposed of in accordance with the European WEEE Directive and not with household rubbish. Components must be disposed of or recycled separately as dangerous, toxic elements can inflict sustained damage on the environment if they are disposed of incorrectly. As a consumer, you are bound by the Electrical and Electronic Devices Act (ElektroG) to return electrical and electronic goods free of charge at the end of their useful life

to the manufacturer, the place of purchase or to specially set up, public collection points. The details in each case are governed by national law. The symbol on the product, the operating instructions and/or the packaging refers to these regulations. By separating materials in this way, recycling and disposing of old devices, you are making an important contribution towards protecting our environment.
