5 Inbetriebnahme

Important safety guidelines for this device

• Never keep the coffee grinding machine unattended; keep it out of reach of animals and children wherever you use or store it.
• Children shall not play with the device.
• Children over 8 years of age and persons with restricted physical, sensory and mental abilities may use the device only if they are instructed or supervised by a person, who is responsible for the safety.
• Keep the coffee grinding machine out of reach of children.
• Keep it on an appropriate surface

so that it does not tip over.

• Do not keep the coffee grinding machine directly on heat sources (e.g. electric cooker).
• Unplug the power plug when the device is not in use or during cleaning.
• Switch off the device and allow it to cool down completely before cleaning it.
• Do not move the device when it is in operation.
• Ensure that the power cable does not touch any hot surfaces.
• If you want to pull out the plug from the socket, pull by holding the plug and not the cable.

• Never touch the plug with wet hands.

• Protect the device against fire.

• Do not immerse the cable, the plug or the entire device in water or other liquids.
• This device is exclusively meant for domestic use.
• This device is not intended for commercial use.
• Check if the mains voltage specified on the nameplate corresponds with the voltage in your home.
• Connect the device only to properly installed sockets.

• In order to prevent the motor from overheating, it is recommended that you allow the device to cool down after an operating period of 30 seconds.

• This device may only be used for crushing food items.

• If the power cable is damaged, it should be replaced by the manufacturer, his specialist dealer or an equally qualified person, so as to prevent any risk.

Attention! The blades of the knives are sharp!

3 Product details

4 Getting started

Take the device out of the package and remove all packaging material. Clean the device and accessories as described in chapter 6 under "Cleaning and maintenance".

Then, select the desired blade unit.

The 2-fold blade unit is suitable for fine grinding, e.g. of coffee beans.

The 4-fold blade unit is suitable for coarse grinding of other food items, e.g. nuts.

Open the cover of the device and insert the blade unit. Ensure that the blade unit locks in place. Once the blade unit has been mounted, turn it in the clockwise direction until it locks in place.

5 Initial use

Next, fill the food item into the grinding bowl. Pay attention to the maximum mark ("MAX"). Do not exceed this mark.

Then, replace the cover and press the On/Off key until the item to be ground has achieved the required fineness. In the next step, simply open the grinder and remove the ground product. Thanks to the safety circuit, the device functions only works when the cover is fixed properly.

Note: If you want to use the grinder once again immediately after the grinding process, allow the device to cool down before the next use; this will help prevent damage. Please note that this device is only suitable for a operation of maximum 30 seconds. Let the device cool down for at least 2 minutes.

After the operation, pull out the power plug from the socket. Open the cover of the device and remove the blade unit. Then, clean the blade unit as described in chapter 6.

Note: When you are using the device to crush food items with a high liquid content, ensure that you do not overfill the container, else it may overflow. It is recommended that the device should be used to crush only dry foodstuff or food items with a low liquid content.

6 Cleaning and care

Clean the device and its accessories with a soft damp cloth. Use a mild cleaning agent. Do not use aggressive cleaning agents! Dry the device thoroughly after use.

Attention! Clean the blade units very carefully, as the blades are sharp!

7 Safety instructions and disclaimer

Do not attempt to service this product by yourself as opening or removing covers may result in fire, electric shock or equipment damage. Please avoid any contact to the electric current. This product is only licensed for indoor use and dry areas. Please protect it from water, rain, snow or high humidity and keep it away from high temperatures and direct sunlight. Do not expose this product to extreme and sudden changes of temperature or heavy vibrations; this may lead to damage of the internal electronic part of this unit. Check this product for signs of damage before putting it in operation. In case the device received any damage, it should not be used. Please contact our customer support. Please observe the relevant national provisions and legal restrictions. Do not use this product for anything other than intended and as described in the manual. Any attempt of repairs or alterations by someone other than the original supplier will invalidate the guarantee and result in refusal of warranty claims. Persons who are familiar with the operating manual and the applicable regulations concerning working safety and accident prevention may only use the network card. This unit is not intended to be used by persons (including children) with limited physical, sensory or mental aptitude or lack of experience and/or knowledge unless they are supervised by a person responsible for their safety or have received instructions as to how the device is used properly. The technical specifications of this product may change without prior notice.

8 Disposal Instructions

The European Directive (WEEE) requires that old electrical and electronic appliances shall be disposed of separately from normal household garbage for optimal recycling. The component parts must be separated, collected and sent for recycling or disposal in an environment-friendly manner. Otherwise, toxic and dangerous substances could cause enduring damage to the environment if disposed of incorrectly. As a consumer you are legally obligated (Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act-ElektroG) to return electronic equipment at the end of its lifetime to their manufacturer, point of sale, public collection points or importer free of charge.
