General Information

Your scale is a precision electronic instrument. Treat your scale with care. Do not drop it or jump on it. The scale is durable, but misuse or abuse may render the electronic sensors inoperable.

1. Read all instructions before operating the scale.
2. Follow the basic safety precautions for all office equipment when using this scale.
3. The manufacturer does not warrant this unit to be waterproof. Do not expose this product to rain or moisture.
4. Do not use the scale under sun or keep it away from heating appliances such as oven, stove, etc.
5. This scale does not contain any user-serviceable parts. Do not disassemble.
6. Use the scale for its intended purpose only.

Note: The display value may be affected by electromagnetic influences, e.g. when a radio is operated in the immediate vicinity of the device. The product can be used for its intended purpose again when the interference is discontinued but may need to be switched on again to re-start.

How to use

The scale was designed to indicate precisely the increase in or the loss of weight.

1. Position the balance on a hard, flat surface (avoid carpets). Uneven floors lead to imprecise readings.
2. Just press or stamp on the U-power button to power up and activate the scale.
3. Wait until "0.0" appears on the display. The scale powers off automatically after one minute.

Note: Do not step on the scale until 0.0 appears.

1. Step on the scale. Distribute your weight equally on the scale and wait for the scale to calculate your weight.

2. Your correct weight will then be displayed in the following:

Selecting weight unit

Turn the scale on by pressing on U-power button. Before the display switch off press the unit key to choose the unit kg or lb. The key is on the back of the scale.

Note: Set the unit before weighing. It could not change the unit while weighing.

Overload

1. When the loading capacity exceeds the maximum capacity of the Digital Scale, the letters Err will be displayed on the LCD screen.
2. Remove the item(s) from the scale platform to avoid damage to the scale.

Low battery indication

When the screen indicates “☐☐☐”, it will turn off automatically after few seconds. Simply reload it by stamping on the U-Power button.

Usage tips

• The scales are designed for a maximum weight of 180kg (396lb).
• Weigh yourself without any clothes or shoes on before meals and always at the same hour of the day. The best time to weigh yourself is when you wake up in the morning.
• The scale rounds off weight to the closest 100 g.
• If you weigh yourself twice and two different values are given, it means that your weight is comprised between both values.

Cleaning

• Do not immerse the balance in water: the electronic components can be damaged.
• Do not use a wire brush or any abrasive items.
• Do not use any acidic or abrasive detergents.
• Clean the device with a slightly moist cloth. Make sure that no humidity or waters seeps into the device!
• Use a commercially sold detergent or soap for cleaning.
• Dry the device well after cleaning with a dry and soft cloth.

The warranty does not cover damage thus attributable to falls, blows, spill, exposure to extreme environmental conditions or deterioration caused by normal use of plastic parts or keyboards, as well as using batteries other than those specified in this manual.

For the repairing, during the warranty period, the unit shall be sent to the distributor or reseller, or to the address indicated by them, and must be jointed the warranty certificated and the respective original invoice or selling ticket, where the buying date is expressed indicated.

The consumer is protected by the guarantee provided by Directive 1999/44/CE of European Parliament and Council of 25 May.
