2. Important safety instructions

Read all instructions given in this user manual carefully before using the appliance.

• This appliance is exclusively intended for indoor personal use. It is not intended for commercial or industrial use.
• The manufacturer does not assume any liability for damage arising from improper use or a failure to comply with this user manual.
• The appliance can be used by persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental abilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they are supervised or are instructed how to use the appliance in a safe manner and understand the risks involved.
• Please do not immerse the motor unit in water or other liquids. There is a risk of short circuits.
• Never operate damaged appliances.
• The appliance is meant exclusively for your personal use and for the intended purpose. This appliance is not intended for commercial use.
• Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the milk frother.
• Never touch rotating parts. There is a risk of injury!
• Do not insert any objects and / or fingers into any openings in the appliance!
• Turn off the appliance before disposal, remove the batteries and dispose of the appliance at an official disposal site.

• This product can be used by children above 8 years, if they are adequately supervised or have been instructed properly on how to use the appliance safely and have understood the associated risks.

• Children should not clean and maintain the appliance, unless they under supervision.

• Never immerse the appliance in water or any other liquid to protect against electric shock and injury to persons.
• Supervision is necessary when the appliance is being used by children or being used in the vicinity of children.
• The use of accessories, which are not recommended by the manufacturer may cause fire, electric shock or injury to persons.
• Please do not place on or near hot gas or electric ovens or in a heated oven.
• Do not misuse the appliance for anything other than the intended purpose to prevent possible injury.
• For the safety of small children, do not leave any packaging components (plastic bags, cardboard, polystyrene, etc.) lying around. Caution! Danger of suffocation! Keep all packaging materials and small parts that could be swallowed out of reach of infants, toddlers and children.
• Check the appliance regularly for wear and damage.
• Do not operate or stop the appliance immediately and do not use it any more if it is damaged or worn out, if it has fallen down on the floor or if you notice smoke, unusual noises or smells. Contact the customer service immediately. In order to avoid hazardous situations, faulty components should only be replaced by qualified personnel.

2.1 Important safety guidelines for batteries

If you use batteries (or rechargeable batteries), please follow these instructions:

• Keep the batteries always away from children!
• Do not throw batteries into fire!
• Never charge batteries, which are not suitable for recharging.
• Do not short-circuit the connections.
• Never open, solder or weld the batteries!
• Never expose batteries to extreme temperatures and conditions e.g. moisture, strong sunlight, severe mechanical stresses, etc.

• Check the batteries regularly and remove empty batteries.

• CAUTION RISK OF DEATH! Batteries can be swallowed. Seek medical assistance immediately if batteries are swallowed!

• RISK OF FIRE AND EXPLOSION! Ensure that the batteries are correctly inserted. Note the (+) plus and (-) minus polarities on the battery and on the appliance.
• RISK OF INJURY! If batteries have leaked, remove them using safety gloves and a cloth from the battery compartment and dispose of it properly.
• RISK OF INJURY! Prevent battery acid from coming into contact with skin and eyes. If the liquid comes into contact with skin or eyes, rinse or wash the area immediately with clean water. Seek medical help immediately!

4. Before You Start

• Unpack the carton carefully and keep all the packing materials until you ensure that the product is complete and working properly.
• Remove all packaging materials and foils. Retain them for later use. Check that the appliance has been delivered completely and is in proper condition.
• Wipe the appliance with a damp cloth completely and allow it to dry completely.
• Mount the whisks (4) by sliding the grooves of the whisk (4) on the guides of the whisk adapter (3) up to the stop.

5. Initial use

Inserting/replacing the batteries

1. To insert or replace the batteries, open the battery compartment at the top of the appliance (2) by turning it counter-clockwise.
2. Remove the old or used batteries and insert two appropriate new 1.5V AA batteries, as per the correct polarity (+/-) .
3. Close the battery compartment by replacing the battery cover (2) and turning it clockwise by hand.

Frothing milk

1. Fill the milk to be frothed in a tall container. Make sure that the container is not filled by more than a third.
2. Immerse the whisk (4) into the container till it almost touches the base.
3. Switch on the unit by pressing the "ON/OFF" key (1).
4. Make slow circular motions until the desired degree of frothing is reached. Move the beater slowly and evenly up and down during the process. The whisk (4) should always remain in the milk.
5. Finish the procedure by by pressing the "ON/OFF" key (1) again.
6. Remove the whisk from the milk once it stops.
7. If you want to make larger quantities of milk froth, use the double whisk.
8. Clean the appliance as described under "Cleaning and care".

Note:

We recommend the use of milk having at least 3% fat.
- For an even better result, we recommend you to heat the milk before frothing. Please note that the milk can be heated to a maximum of 70^ .

6. Cleaning and Care

Note: You can clean the attachments by hand.

1. Ensure that you have read the safety instructions before cleaning.
2. For manual cleaning, hold the whisk in the rinsing water and turn on the appliance. Lift the whisk from the rinsing water only after the appliance has been switching off and has stopped. Finally, rinse the whisk with clean water.
3. Clean the housing of the appliance with a soft, slightly moist cloth. For stubborn dirt, please clean using a mild detergent. Make sure that liquids do not get into the housing.
4. Dry all parts thoroughly before reusing the appliance or storing it.

Note: Using 1.2V AA rechargeable batteries can lead to unsatisfactory results.

Never try to open the appliance to repair or make modifications. Avoid contact with the mains voltage. Do not short-circuit the product. The appliance is not waterproof, therefore please use it only in dry surroundings. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Do not expose the appliance to high temperatures. Do not expose the appliance to sudden changes in temperature or strong vibrations, as this could damage the electronic components. Check the appliance for damage before using it. The appliance should not be used if it has been subject to impact or has been damaged in any other manner. Please comply with the local regulations and restrictions. Do not use the appliance for purposes other than those described in the user manual. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally disabled persons. Any repairs or modifications to the appliance not carried out by the original supplier will void any warranty and guarantee claims. The appliance should only be used by those who have read and understood this user manual. The specifications of the appliance may be changed without any special prior notification.

9. Disposal instructions

In line with the European WEEE directive, electrical and electronic appliances should not be disposed of along with domestic waste. Their components must be sent for recycling or disposal separately, as improper disposal of toxic and dangerous components could permanently damage the environment. According to the Electrical and Electronic Equipment Act (ElektroG), you are obliged (as a consumer) to return (free of charge) all electrical and electronic appliances to the manufacturer, the point of sale, or public collection points at the end of their service life. The relevant local laws regulate the details in this regard. The symbol displayed on the product, in the user manual or/and on the packaging refers to these regulations.
