Frequently Asked Questions - NEN170 EUREKA

How to replace the dust bag of the Eureka NEN170 vacuum?
When the dust level indicator turns red, open the bag compartment by lifting the cover, remove the old bag and insert a new dust bag (ref. 12475000000126). Make sure it clicks into place.
What to do if the vacuum stops suddenly?
This may be due to a thermal cut-off. Turn the switch off, unplug the appliance, wait at least 30 minutes, then plug back in. Also check that the bag is not full, the filter is not clogged, or the hose is not blocked.
How to clean the vacuum filters?
Unplug the appliance. For the sponge filter, remove and rinse with warm water. For the exhaust HEPA filter, remove and rinse with warm water. Let dry completely (24h for HEPA) before reinstalling.
How to use the turbo nozzle?
The turbo nozzle is ideal for carpets. Attach it to the telescopic wand. It uses suction power to spin the brush. Do not use on hard floors.
How to rewind the power cord?
After use, turn off the vacuum, unplug the cord, then press the rewind button on the appliance. Hold the plug to prevent it from whipping.
What to do if suction is weak?
Check if the dust bag is full, if the filters are clogged, or if there is a blockage in the hose or nozzle. Clean or replace necessary parts.
What accessories are included with the NEN170 vacuum?
Included: a turbo nozzle, a straight nozzle, a crevice tool, a dusting brush, and a pet tool. All attach directly to the hose.
How to contact Eureka customer service?
You can call the HELPLINE at 1-888-365-2230 (or 1-800-282-2886) for any questions or service requests. Have the model and serial number handy.
What is the warranty of the Eureka NEN170 vacuum?
Eureka offers a 3-year limited warranty from the original purchase date, covering defects in materials and workmanship. It does not cover normal wear and tear or disposable parts.
How to assemble the vacuum?
Attach the hose to the suction inlet, then connect the telescopic wand to the hose by pushing and twisting until it clicks. Finally, attach the desired floor nozzle to the wand.
