1.2 Warnings
Warnings indicate the possibility of personal injury and damage to property. This enables safe product handling. Warnings are graded as follows:

2 Safety instructions
- The unit described is a subcomponent for integration into a system.
- The system architect is responsible for the safety of the system.

This documentation must contain all necessary information and safety instructions for the operator, the user and, if applicable, for any service personnel authorised by the architect of the system.

3 Intended use
The device is used for the visualisation and optical display of machine conditions. It also enables operator guidance based on optical signals.
The device must not be used in the food and beverage industry (use of cleaning agents under high pressure and at high temperatures).

The device is intended for indoor use only.

The unit is not approved for safety-related tasks in the field of operator protection.
4 Installation

▶ Disconnect the power of the machine before installation.

Dissipate the generated heat as follows:
▶ Mounting on a cooling surface.

▶ Observe the minimum bending radii. Flat side bending radius: ≥ 50 mm Narrow side bending radius: ≥ 200 mm
▶ Do not bend or twist the LED strip.

Ensure heat convection.
The higher the temperature, the greater the degree of ageing.
▶ Do not cover the lighting.
▶ Switch off the lighting when not in use for longer periods.

Heavy soiling prevents light emission and increases heat generation.
▶ Clean the device regularly.
▶ Provide all outgoing cables with a strain relief 200 mm behind the cable entry.

I = 500 mm

5 Electrical connection

The unit must be connected by a qualified electrician.
Observe the national and international regulations for the installation of electrical equipment.
Voltage supply according to SELV, PELV.
▶ Disconnect power.
▶ Connect the cable with the M12 connector of the device.
Tightening torque max. 0.6 Nm.

Observe the maximum tightening torque of the connection cable.
5.1 Pin assignment

1: LED-a (RGB red)
2: LED-b (RGB green)
3: GND
4: LED-d (RGB white)
5: LED-c (RGB blue)
6 Operation
The device has four digital inputs. The colour of the LED strip can be set individually using the digital inputs.
The following properties are assigned to the four digital inputs:
- Input a - red
- Input b - green
- Input c - blue
- Input d - white
By triggering the four inputs correspondingly, the user can determine the colour of the LED strip.

7 Maintenance, repair and disposal
The unit is maintenance-free.
▶ After use, dispose of the unit in an environmentally friendly way in accordance with the applicable national regulations.
Cleaning the unit:
▶ Disconnect the unit from the voltage supply.
▶ Clean the unit from dirt using a soft, chemically untreated and dry micro-fibre cloth.
▶ In case of heavy soiling use a cloth moistened with water.
