Thank you for choosing a Brandon product. Please read the following user manual carefully so that you can enjoy the purchased product for a long time.

3. Functions
The moisture analyser allows you to determine the moisture level in an object made of wood, or alternatively any other material. On the one hand, this enables efficient processing such as milling, machining, gluing, laminating, varnishing and painting. On the other hand, the analysis reduces the risk of decomposition and rotting in order to prevent any damage. Thanks to the backlight that can be switched on and off, you can always see and read the value on the display easily.

Take the device out of the package and remove all the packaging material. Open the battery compartment on the back of the device and insert four 1.5V button cell batteries (Type LR44). Ensure that the polarity of the contacts is correct while inserting the batteries. The flat "+" contact has to face the spring. Press the "POWER" button for about 2 seconds to switch on the power supply. The display of the device shows "00%". Remove the protective cap from the probe. Perform the test by carefully pressing (without applying too much force) on the outside of the probes. Ensure that your fingers are dry. If the display shows a value of approximately 15-20%, then the device is working properly.
Press the "POWER" button briefly to switch the backlight on and off.

The probes are very sharp! Ensure that you do not injure yourself!
After testing the device, insert the probe about 5mm into the piece of wood whose moisture level has to be measured. Pressing once again stops the measurement. Press and hold the "POWER" button for about 2 seconds to switch off the device.
Ensure that you replace the protective cap on the probes. Otherwise there is a risk of injury!
6. "Mode" button
Press the "Mode" button for about 2 seconds to toggle the temperature unit between °C and °F. Press the "Mode" button briefly to toggle the current measurement between wood (tree symbol) and other materials (house symbol).

7. Additional information about this device
- The probes are very sharp. Ensure that children do not play with it!
- Keep the device dry and wipe it briefly after use to ensure long life.
- Please replace the 1.5V button cells if the display becomes dim or the measurement can not be performed correctly.
- Remove the batteries if you do not use the device for a long time!
- Do not point the probes at people or pets! There is a risk of injury!

8. Safety instructions and liability disclaimer
Never try to open the device to carry out repairs or conversions. Avoid contact with mains voltages. Do not short-circuit the product. The device is not certified for use in the open air; only use it in dry conditions. Protect it from high humidity, water and snow. Keep it away from high temperatures. Do not subject the device to sudden changes in temperature or heavy vibration as this might damage electronic components. Examine the device for damage before using it. The unit should not be used if it has received an impact or has been damaged in any other way. Please observe national regulations and restrictions. Do not use the device for purposes other than those described in the instructions. This product is not a toy. Keep it out of the reach of children or mentally impaired persons. Any repair or alteration to the device not carried out by the original supplier, will invalidate the warranty or guarantee. The product may only be used by persons who have read and understood these instructions. The device specifications may change without any separate prior notice to this effect.

9. Disposal instructions
Electrical and electronic devices may only be disposed of in accordance with the European WEEE Directive and not with household rubbish. 10. Instructions on the disposal of batteries
With regard to the sale of batteries or the supply of devices containing batteries, the supplier is obliged to draw the customer's attention to the following:

He can return old batteries stocked or previously stocked by the supplier in the form of new batteries to the supplier's despatch warehouse (despatch address) free of charge. The symbols shown on the batteries have the following meanings: Pb = battery contains more than 0.004 percent by mass of lead, Cd = battery contains more than 0.002 percent by mass of cadmium, Hg = battery contains more than 0.0005 percent by mass of quicksilver.

The symbol of the rubbish bin with a cross through it indicates that the battery may not be put in household waste.
