Frequently Asked Questions - BA311 AVERMEDIA

How to install the BA311 arm on my desk?
Place the C-clamp flat on the edge of the desk, ensuring it rests on the top, bottom, and edge surfaces. Tighten the fixing screw underneath until the clamp is firmly held. Make sure the desk can support the load.
What is the maximum weight supported by the arm?
The recommended maximum weight is 1 kg. Do not exceed this limit to avoid any risk of tipping or damage to the arm.
Can I use this arm for a heavy condenser microphone?
Yes, as long as the microphone does not exceed 1 kg. For heavy microphones, check that the central joint is tightened properly using the provided hex key.
How to adjust the tension of the joints?
Use the provided hex key. Turn clockwise to tighten (increase friction) and counterclockwise to loosen. Adjust each joint until the arm stays in position without support.
How to manage the cables of the microphone and webcam?
Route the cables through the cable channels located along the arm. Use the provided zip ties (small and large) to secure the cables along the arm. Orient the arm so that the channels are facing upward.
What types of webcam are compatible?
All webcams with a standard 1/4 inch screw mount are compatible. The fixing clamp holds the webcam in place.
Can I mount the arm on a glass desk?
Not recommended because the clamp may exert uneven pressure and risk cracking the glass. Prefer solid desks (wood, metal).
How to maintain the BA311 arm?
Clean the metal and plastic parts with a soft, dry cloth. Avoid harsh chemicals. Periodically check the tightness of the screws and the cleanliness of the joints.
What if the arm does not stay in position?
Tighten the joints further using the hex key. If the problem persists, check that the load does not exceed 1 kg and that the arm is not obstructed by cables.
Where to find spare parts?
Contact AVerMedia support or check the product page on the official website. Parts such as the fixing clamp or hex key are available separately.

Rotation Angles

360° 360° 135°

180° 360° 180°

Note:

  1. Rotate according to the specified angles to avoid excessive stress or damages on the joints. The tip and middle joints also provide limit stripes (gray) and marks for making clear and safeguarded rotations.
  2. Do not attach a device that exceeds the maximum hold weight (see specifications).
  3. It is recommended to position the lower arm horizontally with its cord channel facing upward before rotating the upper arm.
  4. The Live Streamer ARM has an internal spring system to provide additional tension, so make sure to use the ARM with its cord channels facing upward/outward and tighten each joint as needed using the provided Crosshead Hex Key.

  5. Be aware while adjusting the ARM from a position with its cord channels facing upward/outward to a position facing downward/inward, as the lack of spring support may result in the ARM and mic tilting over and hitting the desk, causing damages.
