EN. One mesh side of the playpen can be fully opened thanks to the zip: the child can enter and exit the playpen easily.

CAUTION: when the child is inside the playpen, the zip must be fully closed, with the slider in the down position (fig. 10).

• WARNING: WARNING: Do not place the playpen close to an open fire or other heat source.
• WARNING: Do not use the playpen without the base.
• WARNING: Ensure that the playpen is fully erected and all the locking mechanisms engaged before placing your child in this playpen.
• WARNING: Recommended age for using the playpen: for children from birth to approximately 3 years (maximum weight 15Kg).
• WARNING: To prevent the risk of falling, when the child is able to climb over the sides, the playpen must no longer be used.
• WARNING: The zip must always be fully closed. Do not leave the zip half open.
• WARNING: When the child is in the playpen, the zip must be fully closed with the slider in the down position.
• WARNING: Do not leave objects in the playpen and do not place the playpen near other products that may be used as a foothold or pose a suffocation or choking hazard, such as cords, curtains, curtain cords, etc.
• WARNING: The playpen must be assembled by an adult only.
• WARNING: For correct assembly, perform the operations in the order indicated. Incorrect assembly could make the playpen dangerous.
• WARNING: The product is only ready for use when all the locking mechanisms are properly inserted and tightened. Before use, carefully check that they are secured.
• All fittings must always be tightened correctly; they must also be regularly checked and tightened if necessary.
• WARNING: Do not use the playpen if any part is damaged, worn or missing.
• WARNING: Regularly check the playpen for loose screws, worn parts, ripped or frayed material.

WARNINGS

• Periodically check the playpen and the support mattress, making sure that all parts are correctly assembled and in perfect condition.
• WARNING: Do not use the playpen if any part is damaged, ripped or missing.
• WARNING: Only use spare parts supplied or approved by the Manufacturer. Do not add accessories, spare parts or components not supplied or approved by the Manufacturer
• WARNING: Only use the mattress supplied with the playpen.
• WARNING: Do not use more than one mattress in the playpen.
• WARNING: Only use the mattress sold with this playpen and do not add a second mattress on top of this one: risk of suffocation.
• WARNING: Do not use the playpen without the mattress.
• WARNING: Open flames and other sources of strong heat, such as electric heaters, gas stoves, etc. near the playpen constitute a source of risk.
• The correct use and maintenance of the playpen will ensure its durability and trouble-free use.
• WARNING: When not in use, keep the product out of the reach of children.
• WARNING: Do not close the playpen with the child inside.
• WARNING: Never leave the playpen on a slope with the child inside.
• Do not let the child play near the playpen unattended.
• WARNING: Do not move the playpen with the child inside.
• WARNING: Do not use the playpen with more than one child at a time.
• WARNING: Do not allow other children to play near the playpen unattended.

CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE

Wash the playpen with a sponge, warm water and a mild detergent. It is also possible to use a non-aggressive disinfectant. Never wash the playpen with corrosive products containing or derived from ammonia, bleach or alcohol. The moving parts can be lubricated with silicone oil.

The contents of this document as stated below will come into effect as from 01.01.2005 and replace, on every account and in full, any previous message referring to the guarantee provided by Foppa Pedretti S.p.A.

FORMAL GUARANTEE

Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. the head office of which is located at n. 11 Via Volta, Grumello del Monte (Italy), guarantees directly to the Consumer that this brand new product is free of faults with regard to the materials, design and manufacture and that it complies with the characteristics as declared by the manufacturer.

This formal guarantee is valid in all Member Countries of the European Union and it neither excludes nor limits the Consumer's rights in accordance with mandatory measures provided for by the law with regard to the Retailer of the Product.

To take advantage of this formal guarantee, the Consumer must return the faulty product to the Retailer, presenting to the same the proof of purchase of the Product which must clearly show the Retailer's address, the date of purchase of the Product with the Retailer's stamp and signature and an indication of the Product itself or, alternatively, the receipt which must not have been altered and which must clearly show the same information as that referred to above.

The formal guarantee is valid for twelve (12) months from the date of purchase of the Product. During this period, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. will repair or replace the faulty product, at its own discretion. The formal guarantee is granted to the end buyer of the Product (Consumer) and it neither excludes nor limits the mandatory rights of the Consumer as provided for by the law and/or the rights that the Consumer may have with regard to the Dealer/Retailer of the Product.

EXCLUSIONS TO THE FORMAL GUARANTEE.

The formal guarantee is excluded in the case of damage caused to the Product for the following reasons: if the product is used in a way that does not comply with the information contained in the use and assembly instruction sheet, if the product is knocked or dropped, if the Product is exposed to humidity or extreme heat or environmental conditions, or to sudden changes in the same, corrosion, oxidization, unauthorized alterations or repairs to the Product, repairs using unauthorised spare parts, improper use, improper maintenance or failure to carry out the same, improper maintenance compared to the information given on the use and assembly instruction sheet, incorrect assembly, accidents, damage caused by food or drink, damage caused by chemical products, cases of force majeure.

In any case, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines all responsibility for damage caused to persons or to property, other than the Product, when such damage is caused by a failure to comply with the instructions/advice/warnings cont a ined in the manua I or, alternatively, in the use and assembly instruction sheet provided with each Product for the owner/user. (Purely as an example, in the case of a cot: "Check your baby constantly.

Make sure that the sheets and blankets do not cover the baby's head...").

Furthermore, Foppa Pedretti S.p.A. declines all responsibility for damage to persons and to property when the breakage of its products is due to a deterioration in the components of the Product that are subject to wear. All the components of the Product made of plastic are considered to be components subject to wear.
