What is the maximum room size the AC4700 air purifier can cover?
The Guardian AC4700 air purifier is designed for rooms up to approximately 50 m². For optimal efficiency, place it at least 30 cm away from walls and furniture.
How do I replace the HEPA/carbon filter?
Turn off and unplug the unit. Turn it over and turn the filter cover to the left to open. Remove the old filter, insert the new filter (ref. FLT4700), close the cover by turning to the right. Reset the indicator by holding the UV button for 5 seconds.
How often should I replace the filter?
The filter should be replaced every 6 months approximately, or when the power indicator flashes. The color of the filter pleats changes from white to gray when dirty.
How do I replace the UV-C lamp?
Unplug the unit and remove the filter. Use a Phillips screwdriver to remove the 3 screws of the UV-C cover. Turn the bulb counterclockwise to unscrew it. Screw in the new bulb (ref. LB1000), reassemble the cover, then reset the indicator by holding the UV button for 5 seconds.
How often should I replace the UV-C lamp?
The UV-C lamp should be replaced every 10 to 12 months. The blue light flashes to indicate it is time to change it.
How do I clean the pre-filter?
The pre-filter is cleaned monthly with the provided brush or a vacuum cleaner. Remove the main filter to access the pre-filter and clean it gently.
What should I do if the unit does not turn on?
Check that the filter and bottom cover are properly installed. Ensure the unit is plugged into a working outlet. If the problem persists, contact customer service.
The noise from the unit has increased, what should I do?
Check the condition of the filter. A very dirty filter can increase noise. Replace it if necessary. Also ensure that the air inlets are not blocked.
Can I wash the HEPA filter?
No, the HEPA filter should not be washed or reused. It must be replaced with a new one (ref. FLT4700). Washing would damage the filter.
The smell of the outgoing air is unpleasant, what should I do?
Check the condition of the filter. A saturated filter can emit odors. Replace it if necessary. Used activated carbon may also cause odors, consider replacing the additional carbon filter (ref. FLT42CB4).

What is CADR?

CADR stands for "Clean Air Delivery Rate," which indicates the volume of filtered air delivered by an air purifier. CADR ratings show the effectiveness of how efficient the air purifier is at capturing fine particles from things like tobacco smoke and plant pollens from the room.

Clean Air Delivery Rate

From air cleaner to air cleaner, compare the CADR numbers. First look at suggested room size. Then refer to the Clean Air Delivery Rate (CADR) numbers. The higher the number, the faster the unit filters the air.

Refer to website for individual model CADR numbers.
