Frequently Asked Questions - CH500 Duronic

How to assemble the blades of the Duronic CH500 chopper?
Place the lower blade on the central axis, then optionally the upper blade for finer chopping. Lock the blades by turning the lock in the indicated direction.
Can I chop hot ingredients with the CH500?
No, you must let hot ingredients cool to room temperature before chopping, as steam must be able to escape and the bowl is not designed for heat.
How to clean the silicone seal of the lid?
Carefully remove the seal from the lid, wash it in soapy water, rinse and dry. Replace it by pressing evenly over its entire surface.
What to do if the appliance does not start?
Check that the lid is properly locked (turned counterclockwise). The appliance has a safety feature that prevents operation if the lid is not in place.
What is the maximum continuous use time?
It is recommended not to exceed 30 seconds of continuous use, then let the appliance rest for 2 minutes before using again to protect the motor.
Can I chop ice or coffee beans?
No, very hard ingredients like ice, coffee beans, hard spices, or chocolate can damage the blades and prematurely wear the appliance.
How to get a smooth puree for baby?
Use both blades (upper and lower) and blend in pulses. Check the consistency and repeat if necessary. For optimal results, cut ingredients into small pieces.
Can the bowl go in the microwave?
No, no part of the appliance can be placed in the microwave.
How to use the pulse function?
Press the start button gently for short impulses. For continuous operation, press the button fully.
What to do if the motor heats up and stops?
The appliance is protected against overheating. Unplug it, remove some of the ingredients, and let it cool for at least 10 minutes before reusing.
