ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS PRODUCT CHARACTERISTICS Electric kettle is designed for water heating and boiling. Thanks to its high power it is possible to boil water quickly. Detachable base ensures convenient and safe usage of the kettle. The product is intended only for home use. Correct, reliable and safe operation of the product depends on proper operation, therefore: Before starting product operation, please read this manual and keep it. The supplier does not assume any liability for damages resulting from failure to follow safety regulations and recommendations specifi ed in this manual. SAFETY INSTRUCTIONS Note! Recommendations for the product transportation and installation The product can be placed only on a hard, fl at, level and non-fl ammable surface resistant to high temperatures. Substrate should withstand the weight of appliance itself together with water poured into it.Provide at least 10 cm space around product’s side walls, do not place any materials not resistant to high temperature above the product. This will allow for proper product ventilation. Do not place the product near edges e.g. of a table. Do not put anything on the product. It impairs air circulation and may be a cause of product damage, as well as fi re. Do not place the product near fl ammable materials, e.g. curtains or drapes. Do not place any electrical appliances over the product. Steam is released during operation of the product, which may cause a short circuit of electrical installation resulting in electric shock. It is forbidden to drill any hole in the product, nor any other product modifi cation not described herein. Carry the product with hot water by grasping the handle and lifting up from the base. Do not carry the hot product along with the base. Do not displace the product by pulling the cable cord. Temperature at the place of product installation and use must stay within the range +10

C and the relative humidity must be less than 90%, without steam condensation. Recommendations for connecting the product to power supply Before connecting the product to power supply, make sure that the voltage, frequency, and capacity of mains supply correspond to values shown on the product rating plate. Plug must fi t into the socket. It is forbidden to modify the plug or socket in order to fi t each other.Product must be connected directly to a single power outlet. It is forbidden to use extension cords, socket-outlet adapters and double power outlets. Power supply circuit must be fi tted with a protective conductor and at least 16 A protection circuit. Avoid any contact of power cord with sharp edges and hot objects and surfaces. When operating the product, the power cord must always be fully unwound and its position may not interfere with the operation of product. Lay- ing of power cable cannot result in tripping hazard. Power outlet should be located in such a place to allow always the possibility of quick disconnecting the plug of power cord supplying11

ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS the product. When disconnecting the plug of power cord always pull the plug housing, never the cable. If the power cord or plug is damaged, disconnect it immediately from the mains and contact an authorized manufacturer’s service centre for replacement. Do not use the product with a damaged power cord or plug. Power cord or plug cannot be repaired, in case of damage to these components, replace them with new ones without defects. Recommendations for using the product Note! The product is designed only for heating and boiling water. It is forbidden to use the product for heating and boiling liquids or substances other than water. Product must be used together with the base supplied. When using the product, power cord should be completely unwound. Rolled-up cable under the base may overheat and pose a threat of fi re and elec- tric shock. Make sure that the fl oor next to the place where the product is used is not slippery. This will prevent the risk of slipping, which may cause severe injuries.The product may be plugged in only during operation. After it is completed, unplug the product, by removing the plug from the mains socket. Do not leave the connected product unattended. Fill the product with water by pouring it into the kettle. Never immerse the kettle in water or other liquid. If water is splashed while fi lling the kettle on the outside surface of kettle or on the base, it should be thoroughly dried before connecting the kettle to power supply. Avoid fi lling the hot kettle with cold water, this may cause the glass kettle housing to crack due to excessive temperature diff erence. Do not start the product without water. Water level must always re- main between the minimum and maximum level markers. Lower water level can cause the damage to product or cause the product fails to start. Higher water level can make it splat- tering during cooking, which can cause serious burns.Warning! Do not uncover the lid when boiling water.When using the kettle always close the lid, otherwise the automatic product switch will not be triggered. Do not open the lid of the kettle immediately after water has been boiled. Condensed steam of high temperature may be accumulated under the lid. Contact with steam can cause a burn. Note! Place the lid in such a way that steam escapes away from the holder. The product has been designed for home use and it is forbidden to use it in commercial applications, e.g. in catering facilities.Unattended repair, disassembly or modifi - cation of product is forbidden. All product repairs must be carried out by an authorised repair point. This product is not intended for use by children below 8 years of age and persons with reduced physical or mental capabilities and person with no experience or knowledge of the equipment. Unless they are supervised or trained how to use the product in a safe manner so that the risks involved are understood. Children should not play with the product. Unattended children should not perform cleaning and maintenance of the equipment. Do not use any corrosive substances, solvents, corrosive agents, alcohol, gasoline or abrasive agents for cleaning. PRODUCT OPERATION The product must be unpacked and all parts of the packaging removed. Unwrap the cord. Place the base according to the rec- ommendations. Wash the kettle before fi rst use in accordance with the instructions in the product maintenance section. Check if the kettle has a correctly installed fi lter. Model 68193 Lift the lid by grasping the plastic handle.12

ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS Fill the kettle with water so that the water level is between the minimum and maximum indicators. Close the kettle lid. Fully unwrap the base’s power cord and plug it into the socket. Check that the product switch is in the “off ” position - O. Place the kettle on the base so that the kettle rests on the base with its whole circumference. Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch and moving it to the “on” position - I. The backlight of the kettle will be visible all the time the water is boiling. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water is boiled. The switch will automatically change to the “off ” position - O, and the backlight will turn off . Lift the kettle from the base by grasping by the handle only. It is not necessary to open the lid for pouring water. Remove the power supply cord plug from the socket. Leave the product to cool after use. Warning! The kettle and lid are very hot when the water is heated. Avoid touching the metal parts of the kettle and the lid. It is recommended to wear heat-protective gloves. Caution! Moving the switch to the “off ” position - O manually, ends the water-heating process at any time. Control panel (for models 68194 and 68195 only) The kettle is equipped with a control panel, which signifi cantly expands the functionality of the product. The model 68194 has the control panel located in the handle, and 68195, in the product base. Operation of the panel is carried out by means of buttons, reading is possible by means of the display. The I/O switch button allows to turn the kettle on and off . The buttons marked “+” and “-” allow to set the temperature at which water heating will end. The button marked with the symbol of steam fl oating over the appliance allows to activate the water-temperature maintenance function. Model 68194 and 68195 Lift the lid by pressing the button. Fill the kettle with water so that the water level is between the minimum and maximum indicators. Close the kettle lid. Fully unwrap the base’s power cord and plug it into the socket. Place the kettle on the base so that the kettle rests on the base with its whole circumference, the display will show the current water temperature. Set the water temperature using the buttons marked “+” and “-”. The factory pre-set temperature is 100

C. If no other temperature is set before switching on the kettle, the kettle will boil the water. Turn the kettle on by pressing the switch. Each press of any button is indicated by a sound signal. The display will show the water temperature at all times when the water is being heated. The kettle will switch off automatically once the water is heated to the set temperature. The backlight will turn off and a sound signal will be heard. Lift the kettle from the base by grasping by the handle only. It is not necessary to open the lid for pouring water. Remove the power supply cord plug from the socket. Leave the product to cool after use. Warning! The kettle and lid are very hot when the water is heated. Avoid touching the metal parts of the kettle and the lid. It is recommended to wear heat-protective gloves. Caution! Pressing the switch manually ends the water-heating process at any time. Caution! If during water heating the temperature is changed to a lower one or the kettle is lifted from the base, the kettle will automatically end the water-heating process. Caution! If the temperature is set lower than the temperature of the water in the kettle, it will not be possible to turn the kettle on. The kettle does not have a water cooling function. Due to the thermal inertia of the temperature sensor, a slight discrepancy between the actual water temperature and the display is possible. The sensor inaccuracy is given in the technical data table. Water temperature maintenance function (models 68194 and 68195 only) Setting the water temperature, turning on the heating and then pressing the button marked with the fl oating steam symbol will acti- vate the water temperature maintenance function. This function allows to heat up the water and then maintain the set temperature. Activation of the temperature maintenance function is signalled by the backlight of button with the symbol of steam fl oating over the appliance coming on in the model 68194 or by displaying the symbol of steam fl oating over the appliance in the model 68195. Caution! Lifting the kettle from the base disables the water temperature maintenance function. Caution! The water temperature maintenance function can only be activated in the temperature range of 40-95

ORIGINAL INSTRUCTIONS of 60 minutes. The kettle will switch off automatically after that time has elapsed.

MAINTENANCE, TRANSPORT, STORAGE

Kettle maintenance Since the product is designed for preparation of water intended for comestible purpose, one should take care of its cleanliness and it should be regularly maintained. NOTE! All maintenance operations to be carried out with the power supply off . To this end, remove the plug of the power cord from the mains socket. NOTE! The product must not be immersed in water or in any other liquid. The product must not be washed under running water, in dishwashers or under water jets. NOTE! Before any maintenance operations, allow the product components to cool down completely. Do not speed up the cooling process by fi lling the kettle with cold water. For cleaning, use a mild dishwashing detergent. Residues of solution to be removed using a cloth soaked with water (base and outer part of the kettle) or fi lling the kettle with water several times (inside of the kettle). Then wipe the product to dry or leave to be dried off . The kettle has been fi tted with a screen fi lter located at the water outlet. If the fi lter can be dismounted, it can be cleaned using a water jet after dismounting it from the kettle. The fi lter that cannot be dismounted should be cleaned with a damp cloth or sponge. Do not apply too much pressure that could damage the fi lter. Removal of mineral deposits Depending on quality of water, minerals precipitated from water in the heating process may be deposited inside the kettle. This is a normal phenomenon and does not interfere with the operation of the kettle. In the case of accumulation of deposits, they should be removed using acetic or citric acid. Pour 0.5 l of vinegar into the kettle or add 40 g of citric acid, fi ll the kettle with water up to maximum level. Boil the contents of kettle, and then leave the kettle for about 30 minutes. After this time, empty the kettle, rinse with clean water and wipe the interior dry. If mineral deposits have not been completely removed, repeat the entire removal process. Storage and transport of the product The product when stored should be kept in closed rooms, protect it from dust, dirt and moisture. It is recommended to store the product in its original packaging. Store the product in its working position. Do not store products in layers. Do not put anything on the product during its storage. Transport the product in the factory packaging. Protect it against excessive shocks during transport. Do not put anything on the product during its transport.
