How do I pair my Bluetooth device with the Laney F67-LIONHEART?

Press the PAIR button (1) for one second to activate pairing mode. The blue LED flashes slowly. On your device, select LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS. The blue LED lights up continuously when pairing is complete.

What should I do if the blue LED does not flash during pairing?

Make sure the speaker is on and you press the PAIR button for at least one second. If the LED still does not flash, try restarting the speaker by turning it off and on again.

How do I charge the internal battery?

To charge when the speaker is off, plug in the power cable; the red LED lights up continuously. To charge while in use, first turn on the speaker, then plug in the power. The red LED lights up continuously. A slow flash (2 times per second) indicates that charging is not taking place.

Can I use the speaker while charging?

Yes, you can use the speaker while charging. Make sure the main switch is in the On position before plugging in the power cable.

What is the output power of the speaker?

The output power is 160 W peak, 80 W continuous, and 2 x 20 W RMS.

What controls are available on the speaker?

Controls include: Bass, Treble, Volume, a Bluetooth pairing button (PAIR), and a main power switch.

How do I clean the speaker?

Use a dry cloth to clean the speaker. Do not use liquid or abrasive products.

Can I connect multiple Bluetooth devices at the same time?

Yes, the F67-LIONHEART allows connecting multiple devices. If a pairing was previously done, the speaker automatically accepts a subsequent connection. The last device to start playback becomes the priority.

What is the battery life?

The manual does not specify the exact battery life. The internal battery is recharged via the supplied 12V/3A adapter.

What should I do if the speaker does not turn on?

Check that the main switch is in the On position. If the speaker still does not turn on, make sure the battery is charged by plugging in the AC adapter. If the problem persists, contact an authorized technician.

OPERATION

POWERING ON

• Turn volume (3) down.
• Throw the power switch (9).
• Press the PAIR (1) button – follow the instructions detailed below.
• Connect to LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS on your device.
  •Play Music.

PAIRING

• If the blue pair led is not illuminated then no device is connected to the LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS F67.
  • In order to pair your device, follow the procedure detailed below.
• Press and hold the pair button (1) until the blue LED starts to flash slowly.
  • Pairing mode times out after one minute.
• On your device search for LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS and connect. The led will change to continuous blue when connected.
• Note, you cannot start a new pairing request whilst a device is already connected, you must first disconnect the first device and then start pairing.
  •The LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS F67 allows multiple devices to connect to it. If you have previously connected, it should accept a connection request.
• If you start playing a song, it will take over from the currently connected device. The pair led will change to an intermittent blue flash when multiple devices are connected.

- Pressing and holding the pair button for 10 seconds forces the LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS F67 to forget all the devices currently connected.

PLAYING TRACKS

• When your device is connected. You can quickly tap the PAIR (1) button to play/pause the currently selected track. The led will briefly blink red/blue
• When there is a track playing, you can double tap the pair button to skip to the next track.

AUX IN (6)

- Use the provided 1/8" aux cable to connect your device to your AUX IN input.

CHARGING YOUR DEVICE (7)

• You can use your LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS F67 player straight out of the box, but it is recommended that you give it a full 8 hours charge before you use it the first time in order to get optimum battery life.
• You can also use the LANEY SOUND SYSTEMS F67 as a powerbank to charge your device using the USB port.

CHARGING YOUR BLUETOOTH SPEAKER

•The power led defaults to blue when powered on and using the internal battery. The led will start flashing as the battery runs low to indicate it should be charged soon. The led flashes progressively slower as the battery is nearing exhaustion and should be charged.

• To charge while not using the speaker. Make sure the power switch is set to off, then insert the included 12V power supply into the charging socket (10) on the rear of the unit. The led changes to a constant red colour while charging. When charging is complete (around four hours) the led will go off.

• To charge while using the speaker. Make sure the power switch is set to on, then insert the included 12V power supply into the charging socket (10) on the rear of the unit. The led changes to a constant purple colour while charging. When charging is complete (around four-five hours, depending on speaker volume) the led will change to Blue. Note, if the power led is flashing while plugged in, it is not in charge mode. Make sure the unit was turned on prior to plugging the PSU in.

GENERAL INSTRUCTIONS

In order to take full advantage of your new product and enjoy long and trouble-free performance, please read this owner's manual carefully, and keep it in a safe place for future reference.

1) Unpacking: On unpacking your product please check carefully for any signs of damage that may have occurred whilst in transit from the Laney factory to your dealer. In the unlikely event that there has been damage, please re-pack your unit in its original carton and consult your dealer. We strongly advise you to keep your original transit carton, since in the unlikely event that your unit should develop a fault, you will be able to return it to you dealer for rectification securely packed.
2) Amplifier Connection: In order to avoid damage, it is advisable to establish and follow a pattern for turning on and off your system. With all system parts connected, turn on source equipment, tape decks, cd players, mixers, effects processors etc, BEFORE turning on your amplifier. Many products have large transient surges at turn on and off which can cause damage to your speakers. By turning on your bass amplifier LAST and making sure its level control is set to a minimum, any transients from other equipment should not reach your loud speakers. Wait till all system parts have stabilised, usually a couple of seconds. Similarly when turning off your system always turn down the level controls on your bass amplifier and then turn off its power before turning off other equipment
3) Cables: Never use shielded or microphone cable for any speaker connections as this will not be substantial enough to handle the amplifier load and could cause damage to your complete system.
4) Servicing: The user should not attempt to service these products. Refer all servicing to qualified service personnel.
