How to charge the MPM-30 battery?

Use the supplied mains adapter: plug it into a wall socket, then connect the DC output to the DC input port of the battery (allowable voltage: 12-24 V DC). Do not charge below 0 °C.

What is the actual capacity of the battery?

The LiFePO4 battery can be discharged to 100% of its capacity, i.e. approx. 30 Ah. Unlike lead-acid, you can use all the energy without damaging the battery.

Can I leave the battery permanently connected?

It is not recommended to leave the battery connected to the mains permanently. After a full charge, disconnect it to avoid premature wear. For storage, disconnect the terminals.

How to install the battery on my caravan mover?

Mount the battery on the supplied base support. Connect the negative terminal (black) to the negative terminal of the caravan mover, then the positive terminal (red) to the positive terminal. Use a cable of at least 16 mm².

What to do if the battery does not turn on?

Check that the battery is not completely discharged: connect the mains charger and let it charge for a few hours. If it still does not respond, the BMS may have triggered a protection: disconnect any load and recharge.

Can the battery be used in the rain?

No, the battery is not waterproof. Avoid any exposure to rain or humidity. Use it outdoors temporarily and protect it from the elements.

How to store the battery during winter?

Charge it fully, then disconnect the terminals. Store it in a dry and temperate place (between 0 °C and 25 °C). Recharge it every 6 months to maintain its capacity.

Can I use a car charger to recharge the battery?

Yes, an optional car charger (12-24 V) can be used. Connect it to the DC input of the battery and to the vehicle's cigarette lighter socket. This allows charging while driving.

What does the LED indicator on the battery mean?

The LED indicator shows the battery status: steady green = charged, orange = charging, red = low battery or protection activated. Refer to the manual for details.

How to recycle the battery at end of life?

Do not dispose of it with household waste. Take it to a battery collection point or to the retailer. Comply with directive 2012/19/EU for environmentally friendly recycling.

5. The device must always be positioned on a flat, stable and dry surface.
6. Never use the appliance if it is visibly damaged or if the electrical cord is broken.
7. In case of damage to the appliance, the cord or the plug, never carry out repairs yourself. Always let repairs be done by the manufacturer or a qualified technician.
8. The device is not suitable for commercial use.
9. Always use and store the device in a dry place.
10. Never use any accessories that are not recommended by the manufacturer.
11. This appliance is only suitable for domestic use and only for the purpose for which it is intended.
12. Avoid contact with battery material such as electrolyte or powder. If, in the case of an damaged battery, this material gets on the skin or in the eyes, it should be rinsed immediately with plenty of clean water. In this case, consult a doctor. Under normal circumstances, contact with electrolyte is not possible.
13. Be careful when using metal objects or tools near the battery. Never place objects like these on top of the battery, as the connections of a lithium battery are always active. Do not wear metal objects such as watches, bracelets etc. and use insulated tools.

Safety in use

1. Do not overcharge the internal battery.
2. Avoid deep discharges.
3. Never short-circuit the + and - pole. Although the internal BMS is protected against short-circuiting, it is strongly discouraged, to avoid dangerous sparks.

4. Never connect the battery in series or in parallel with other batteries.

5. Never open the battery yourself. The warranty is void if the battery is opened.

6. Do not place the battery in an environment with high humidity, high temperatures, a heat source, or in direct sun or rain.

7. If you use bolts (instead of the supplied battery terminals) for connecting electronics, make sure that they are not longer than the internal thread.

8. When storing the battery for a longer period of time, it is recommended to charge it beforehand and then recharge it once every six months. Do not forget to disconnect the battery clamps if the battery will not be used for a long time!

9. Never charge the battery at temperatures below 0° C.

10. Use the internal charger, or a charger suitable for LiFePO4 cell chemistry.

11. Do not smoke, strike a match, or create a spark near the battery.

12. Only charge the battery in a well-ventilated area.

13. This appliance is intended to be stored indoors when it is not used. This device should not be stored outside.

14. This appliance is intended for temporary outdoor use. Be extremely careful when using this device in wet conditions!

15. Never use the device near hot or warm objects.

16. Prevent the device from coming into contact with rain.

17. Do not place chemical or explosive substances near the device.

18. Caution! The heat generated during operation of the battery must be able to dissipate properly.

19. Keep sufficient distance between the product with respect to objects and walls.

20. Never immerse the device in water.

Installation

1. Connect the negative terminal of the battery to the negative connector of your caravan mover.
2. Connect the positive terminal of the battery to the positive connector of your caravan mover.
3. It is recommended to use a cable of at least 16 mm2. Use a red cable for the + and a black cable for the -. Always follow the manual of your caravan mover when connecting the cabling.

Use

1. The battery has more than enough capacity to carry out one manoeuvre of the caravan with a mover. It is recommended to recharge the battery after each use for the next use.
2. The battery is capable of delivering short, high currents to overcome a threshold or other obstacles. If this is done for a longer period of time, the battery will turn off automatically and must reset itself.
3. Unlike lead-acid batteries, it is possible to fully discharge this lithium battery with LiFePO4 technology. This means 100% of the battery capacity can be used.
4. When the battery is empty, it will turn itself off and must be charged before the next use. Charging takes place via a charging cable and mains connection.
5. Optionally available is a charger (car charger) that uses the car voltage to slowly charge the battery while driving. With this, it is no longer necessary to install thick cabling.
6. The battery can be securely mounted on a supporting structure by means of the bottom mounting.
7. If you are not using the battery for a longer period of time, it is strongly recommended to disconnect the battery terminals. Make sure that the battery does not run out because it is in standby mode. Also make sure that the battery is not connected to the mains. If the temperature is below 0° C it should not be charged. The battery can be stored this way for up to a year, due to its very low self-discharge.

How to charge the Powerpack

The battery can be charged by connecting the supplied connection cable to the power supply.

- Connect the other end of the connection cable to the DC input port on the device. With the charging function of the adapter input, the voltage range is 12V DC - 24V DC.
