Frequently Asked Questions - FG95 GIRMI

How to use the Girmi FG95 air fryer for the first time?
Before first use, wash the container and basket thoroughly with hot water and mild detergent. Dry them well. Run the appliance empty at maximum temperature (200°C) for about 10 minutes to eliminate odors. Let it cool, then clean again. You are now ready to cook.
What cooking programs are available?
The appliance offers 8 preset programs: fries, bacon, chicken, shellfish, meat, dessert, vegetables and fish. To select them, press the MENU button several times until the desired program blinks, then confirm by pressing the rotary button.
How to set temperature and time manually?
Press the rotary button once: the temperature blinks. Turn the knob to set the desired temperature (80°C to 200°C). Press again: the time blinks. Turn to set the time (up to 60 minutes). Press START/PAUSE to start cooking.
Can I use oil in the fryer?
No, never fill the container with oil. The fryer works by hot air circulation. You can add a small amount of oil (a teaspoon) directly on the food to make it crispier, but not in the appliance.
How to clean the container and basket?
Unplug the appliance and let it cool. Remove container and basket. Wash them by hand with hot water and dish soap, using a non-abrasive sponge. Do not put them in the dishwasher and do not use metal scouring pads to avoid damaging the non-stick coating. Dry thoroughly before reassembling.
What if my food is not cooked enough?
If after the programmed cooking time the food is not cooked to your liking, put the container back in the appliance and add a few extra minutes. You can also increase the temperature. Check the cooking in progress by removing the basket (cooking stops automatically and resumes when you put it back).
Can I cook frozen foods?
Yes, the air fryer is ideal for frozen foods. Refer to the cooking chart in the manual: for example, thin frozen fries require 18-25 minutes at 200°C. It is recommended to shake them halfway through for even results.
How to shake food during cooking?
Grip the handle, remove the container (watch out for steam) and shake it back and forth. Do not press the release button (7) during this operation. Put the container back; cooking resumes automatically where it left off.
What does automatic shut-off mean?
The appliance stops automatically when the container is removed. This is a safety and convenience feature: you can check or shake food without turning off the appliance. It resumes cooking as soon as you put the container back, without losing settings.
What to do in case of abnormal odor or noise?
During first uses, a slight odor may be released; this is normal. If the odor persists or you hear unusual noises, unplug the appliance immediately. Check that no foreign object is blocking the ventilation grill. If the problem persists, contact an authorized service center. Do not attempt to repair the appliance yourself.
