Infrared heaters Instruction manual
Thank you for choosing an infrared heater from Gossmann GmbH.

It is therefore necessary to read this instruction manual carefully before operating the appliance. We will be glad to answer any questions you may have. Keep this instruction manual near the appliance.
1. GENERAL PRODUCT INFORMATION
1.1 GENERAL INFORMATION ABOUT INFRARED HEATERS
Infrared heaters are direct heaters that operate according to the principle of radiant heat (infrared). They have a very low energy requirement and create a pleasant, cosy room climate.
Infrared heaters transform electrical energy into heat with an efficiency of almost 100%. The special coating of the surface is optimized with the aim of achieving the maximum heat emission in the wavelength range from 7 to 10 m.
With infrared heat rays you heat in the same way as the sun heats the world – infrared brings this heat into your house and can reduce heating costs.
Infrared heaters can be used in various rooms and environments (see separate section on the individual areas of use). Various models are recommendable depending on the environment and the desired application (please contact your dealer regarding the optimum model for you). For all models and applications, however, it is essential that you follow the safety instructions for the installation (see separate section for this).
Infrared heaters heat up in just a few minutes (about 5 to 10 minutes, see point 3). If you do not immediately obtain a comfortable, warm room climate, allow the heating element to run for a longer period, since the first time it is operated it may be the case that cold objects (furniture, walls, ceiling, floor, etc.) first have to warm up. As soon as these fixed bodies have warmed up, however, the pleasant warmth will be distributed throughout the room and you will be able to reduce the operating time of the heating element to a minimum. This makes an enormous contribution to the protection of the environment.
Depending on the model you have selected, the surface will heat up to 120 °C . All of our infrared heaters are equipped with temperature sensors, which prevent the overheating of the surface.
1.2 APPLICATIONS
The versatile use of infrared heating allows a highly versatile usability. In residential and commercial premises, holiday homes and conservatories as well as in catering our products are suitable for heating. Pay attention only to the fact that the heaters are to be applied only in enclosed spaces. In poorly insulated garden sheds or stables we do not recommend the use!
