Frequently Asked Questions - Flexsys FMX12 DB Technologies

How to connect a microphone to the FMX12?
Use a balanced XLR input. Set the input selector to Mic. The input level can be adjusted with the Sensitivity control.
What to do if the speaker does not turn on?
Check the mains power and VDE cable. Ensure the POWER switch is ON. If the problem persists, contact an authorized repair center.
What are the available presets?
8 presets: Live Monitor, Playback Monitor, Coupled Monitors, Male Singer, Female Singer, Antifeedback, Live on Stand, Playback on Stand. Select with the MAIN PRESET rotary control.
How to adjust the input sensitivity?
Use the Input Sens. control on the rear panel. Set it to 0 dB before configuring the system, then adjust to the desired level.
Can I use the speaker on a stand?
Yes, in vertical position on a tripod stand. Use the Live on Stand or Playback on Stand presets. Make sure the center stand is positioned forward and use an additional fixation (not supplied).
What is the coverage angle?
Coverage of 60° (H) x 90° (V) thanks to the rotatable horn. This allows excellent dispersion even off-axis, ideal for stage monitoring.
How to avoid feedback?
Use the Antifeedback preset which applies special EQ to reduce feedback risk. Place the monitor behind the microphone and avoid pointing the mic at the speaker.
What does the Limiter LED mean?
The Limiter LED lights up when the internal limiter is active to protect the speaker. Cyclic flashing indicates excessive demand. Reduce input level if this occurs frequently.
Which cable to use for linking two monitors?
Use a balanced XLR cable. Connect the Output/Link of one monitor to the Input of the next. The signal is then relayed (Link).
Where to find the serial number?
The serial number is on the label on the rear panel of the speaker. It is required for product registration and warranty claims.
