  • This appliance is intended to be used in household and similar applications such as: - sta kitchen areas in shops, oces and other working environments; - farm houses; - by clients in hotels, motels and other residential type environments; - bed and breakfast type environments.
  • If the supply cord is damaged, it must be replaced by the manufacturer, its service agent or similarly qualied persons in order to avoid a hazard.
  • This appliance can be used by children aged from 8 years and above and persons with reduced physical, sensory or mental capabilities or lack of experience and knowledge if they have been given supervision or instruction concerning use of the appliance in a safe way and understand the hazards involved. Children shall not play with the appliance. Cleaning and user maintenance shall not be made by children unless they are older than 8 and supervised.
  • Keep the appliance and its cord out of reach of children less than 8 years.
  • Only the appropriate connector must be used.
  • The appliance is not intended to be operated by means of an external timer or separate remote-control system.
  • The temperature of accessible surfaces may be high when the appliance is operating.
  • The outer surface may get hot when the appliance is operating.

  • Do not place the appliance in or near hot gas or electric burner, or permit to touch a heated oven or mini oven.
  • Regarding the instructions for cleaning surfaces in contact with food, refer to the section “CLEANING AND MAINTENANCE” on page 26 of the manual.
  • Caution: Hot Surface. The surfaces are liable to get hot during use.23
  • Before using this appliance, ensure that the voltage indicated on the product corresponds with the main voltage in your home.
  • Warning: This appliance must be earthed.
  • Children should be supervised to ensure that they do not play with the appliance.
  • Do not use outdoors.
  • The appliance is for household use only. Do not use the appliance for anything other than its intended use.
  • Unplug the appliance from the mains socket when not in use, before attaching or removing accessories, and before cleaning.
  • Do not immerse the appliance in water or other liquids.

  • Remove packaging material and wipe the appliance with a slightly damp cloth.
  • Clean the cooking plate with a soft moist cloth or sponge with a little mild detergent. Wipe with a damp cloth or sponge. Never immerse the appliance in water.
  • Insert the drip tray into the appliance. PREHEATING

1. Place the appliance on a at stable and heat-resistant surface.

2. Pour a little cooking oil onto the cooking plate and wipe with a soft cloth or

paper kitchen towel.25

3. Set the thermostat of the plug-in connector to the “MIN” position

4. Connect the plug-in connector to the pins of the appliance and then connect

the cord to the mains socket.

  • When using the appliance for the rst time, there maybe a slight odour and a little smoke during the rst few minutes.

5. Preheat the appliance for about 5 minutes on the maximum setting.

  • The indicator light will illuminate. COOKING After preheating, the appliance is ready for cooking.
  • Set the thermostat to the desired position.
  • Leave to cook depending on your taste.
  • When you nish cooking, set the thermosat to the “MIN” position. NOTE :
  • Never cut directly on the appliance.
  • Always use a wooden spatula to avoid damging the cooking surface.
  • Do not touch the metal parts of the appliance when it is operating, as they are very hot.26 Unplug the plug-in connector from the mains socket and then remove it from the appliance.
  • NOTE: When removing the plug from the main socket, be sure to grab the entire plug and do not pull the cord. Allow the appliance to cool down before cleaning. Do not immerse the cooking plate and plug-in connector in water. Clean them with a slightly damp cloth. Carefully remove the drip tray and dispose of the collected oil. NOTE: Do not pour the oil down the drain, as it may solidify and cause blockages. Clean the drip tray in warm soapy water. Rinse thoroughly. Clean the outer surface of the appliance with a slightly damp cloth. Remove excess oil from the cooking plate with a piece of kitchen paper and then clean it using a damp cloth or sponge with a little mild detergent. Dry with a soft cloth. Clean the cooking plate after each use. Caution! Never use abrasive or chemical cleaning agents, as they could damage the appliance and the non-stick coating of the cooking plate. Surfaces in contact with food should be cleaned regularly to avoid cross contamination from dierent types of food, the use of a damp cloth is advisable when dealing with surfaces that come into contact with food. Correct food hygiene practices should always be followed at all times to avoid possibility of food poisoning / cross contamination. The plug-in connector must be completely dry before you insert it into the connecting socket of the appliance.
